Walsin Passive Components Held in Hong Kong Stock

Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, held 1,126 distinct part
number lines in local stock as at 23 September 2026.
The breakdown was 731 general MLCC,
254 chip resistor, 132 specialty MLCC, three safety capacitor, two inductor, one resistor
array and two further lines. Stock moves. Treat the shape as stable and the quantities as
not.

What does Venatech actually hold in Hong Kong?

A working buffer of Walsin Technology (Walsin) product, not a catalogue. The stock position
is built around the part numbers our customers reorder, which means it is dense in
small-case MLCC and thick-film chip resistors and thin everywhere else. It exists so a short
BOM line can be covered from Hong Kong rather than waiting on a factory cycle.

The product line split from the 23 September 2026 snapshot:

Product line Part number lines held
MLCC 731
Chip resistor 254
MLCC (specialty) 132
Safety capacitor 3
Inductor 2
Resistor array 1
Other 2

Flagged for review: the source stock file carries one further row whose part number
field reads as a total rather than a part. We have excluded it from the table above and
counted it separately, which is why the line entries sum to 1,125 against a file length
of 1,126. Confirm before publishing either figure as a headline number.

How much of the Walsin catalogue is stocked?

A very small fraction, deliberately. The Walsin catalogue we hold parametric data for runs
to 264,958 parts across seven product lines. Local Hong Kong stock
covers 1,126 part number lines. Stock is for the lines that repeat; everything else is
ordered against the catalogue.

That ratio is not a weakness and no distributor’s stock position works differently. The
useful question is never “how many parts do you stock” but “do you stock the twelve lines
on my BOM, and if not, what exists in the catalogue against them”. We can answer the second
part from the full parametric data set for all 264,958 parts regardless of what is on the
shelf.

Which MLCC families are held?

Two groups. The general MLCC group of 731 lines is weighted to small case sizes in X7R and
X6S, including 0201 parts such as 0201B103K100CT, 0201B392K250CT and 0201B181K500CT.
The specialty group of 132 lines is dominated by the High Q and Low ESR HH series, with
parts such as HH03N4R7C500CT and HH15N1R3A500CT.

The HH presence is worth calling out. High-Q, low-ESR MLCC are the parts that go into RF
matching networks and filters, and they are the parts a generalist distributor is least
likely to have. Holding HH03N0R4B500, HH03N0R9A250CT, HH03N1R8B500CT,
HH15N130J500CT, HH15N1R1A500CT and HH15N1R9A500 locally means a sub-picofarad-class
RF line can be covered without a factory lead cycle.

Safety capacitors are held in small numbers: S242B102K502CT, S252B222K502CT and
S252B471K502ZT. Inductors are held as two lines, WLPH252012M2R2PP and
WLPH252012M4R7PP.

Which chip resistor series are held?

The 254 chip resistor lines span several Walsin series prefixes. MF12E1R00FTL,
MF12E2200FTL, MF12E3300FTL, MF12E3902FTL and MF12P3303FTL sit in the MF group.
WF04H1202DTL, WF04H3302DTL, WF06Q7502FTL and WF06U5363BTL sit in the WF group,
covering 0402 and 0603 case sizes. SR471K05DOJNCEDEN is held as a single line.

The pattern across the resistor stock is the same as the capacitor stock: small case sizes,
common decade values, high-runner tolerances. It is a buffer for the lines that appear on
every board, not an attempt to mirror the 234,378-part chip resistor catalogue.

Why do two stocked part numbers for the same component look different?

Because the packaging suffix is part of the orderable part number, and not every line in
every data source carries it. Walsin’s parametric export omits the CT suffix entirely.
Our own stock file, which reflects what was physically received, carries it on most lines
and not on others.

That inconsistency is visible inside a single series. Here is the HH-series stock compared
field by field against one reference line.

Stocked part number Product line Suffix present Match / mismatch vs HH03N0R9A250CT
HH03N0R9A250CT MLCC (specialty) CT reference line
HH03N1R8B500CT MLCC (specialty) CT match: HH series, 03 case code, CT packaging suffix present · mismatch: different capacitance code, different tolerance code, 500 voltage code not 250
HH03N0R4B500 MLCC (specialty) none match: HH series, 03 case code · mismatch: no packaging suffix on the line, different capacitance and tolerance codes, 500 voltage code
HH15N1R1A500CT MLCC (specialty) CT match: HH series, CT suffix present, same tolerance code A · mismatch: 15 case code not 03, different capacitance code, 500 voltage code
HH15N1R9A500 MLCC (specialty) none match: HH series, tolerance code A · mismatch: 15 case code, no packaging suffix on the line, different capacitance code, 500 voltage code
S252B471K502ZT Safety capacitor ZT match: nothing on the compared fields · mismatch: different product line, different series, ZT suffix rather than CT

index). Confirm the packaging suffix on every line before you raise a purchase order.

The ZT line is the useful one to notice. S252B222K502CT and S252B471K502ZT are both
stocked safety capacitors, and they carry different packaging suffixes. A purchase order
that copies the wrong suffix across from a neighbouring line is a real and common failure.
Always confirm the suffix per part.

Why do you not publish a stock list with quantities?

Because a published quantity is wrong within hours and misleading for as long as it stays
up. A stock file is a snapshot. The 23 September 2026 snapshot behind this article is
already historical by the time you read it. Publishing it as a price list would create
exactly the false confidence we are trying to avoid.

There is a second reason, and it comes from the data. Walsin’s own parametric export leaves
moq, spq and lead_time_weeks blank on every row of every product line. Not sparse —
blank. So the fields a buyer most needs cannot be read off the catalogue at all. They have
to be confirmed per part, per order, against real availability. That is a conversation, not
a table.

What we will publish is the shape: which product lines are held, which families are dense,
and which are thin. Send the part numbers and we will confirm current position against them.

Frequently asked questions

Is Venatech an authorised Walsin distributor?
Yes. Venatech Limited (威納電子有限公司) is an authorised distributor for Walsin Technology,
operating from Hong Kong. Parts are supplied through the authorised channel, which matters
for traceability and for any programme that requires a documented supply chain.

Can I order a part that is not in the Hong Kong stock position?
Yes. Stock covers 1,126 part number lines; the catalogue we hold data for covers 264,958
parts across MLCC, chip resistor, inductor, disc and safety capacitor, RF, MOV and antenna.
Anything in the catalogue can be ordered. Send the part numbers and we will confirm the
route for each line.

How current is the stock information in this article?
The line counts come from a snapshot dated 23 September 2026. The product line split and the
families held are the stable part of that picture. The quantities behind it are not, which
is why none are published here. Ask us for a current position on specific part numbers.

Do you hold RF, antenna or MOV parts in Hong Kong?
Those lines did not appear in the 23 September 2026 stock snapshot, which was weighted to
MLCC and chip resistor. We hold full parametric data for the RF, antenna and MOV ranges and
supply them to order. Ask and we will confirm the current route for the specific part.

What is the difference between MLCC and MLCC (specialty) in your stock?
It is our own internal grouping. General MLCC covers the volume families in standard case
sizes. Specialty MLCC covers the engineered families — in the current position that is
dominated by the High Q and Low ESR HH series, which is aimed at RF rather than at
decoupling.

Why does my part number have a suffix that yours does not?
Because Walsin’s public parametric export omits the CT packaging suffix. An exported part
number is a specification code. The orderable part number usually carries the packaging
suffix on the end. Check the suffix against the order acknowledgement rather than against
the parametric search result.

Do you supply cut tape or full reels?
Packaging is confirmed per line at order, because the Packing and SPQ fields are empty on
every row of the public catalogue data. Some of our stocked lines carry a supplied quantity
figure and some do not. Ask for the packaging on the specific part numbers you need and we
will confirm it against current stock.

Next step

Send Venatech Limited the part numbers or the specification from your BOM and we will
confirm the current Hong Kong position line by line, with the orderable part number
including its packaging suffix. Where a line is not stocked we will tell you what exists in
the Walsin catalogue against it, field by field, with mismatches marked. We will not tell
you a part is equivalent. We will show you exactly where it differs.
