Soft Termination MLCC in Stock for Mexico: 9 of 30 Hong Kong SH Lines Have a Standard-Termination Twin on the Shelf, and 4 Pairs Differ by 0.45 mm

Soft termination MLCC in stock is 30 part numbers, all Walsin SH series, out of 1,671 in the export. Only 9 of the 30 have a standard-termination twin on the same 23 September 2026 shelf, and in 4 of those 9 pairs the soft part is 0.45 mm thicker. For a Mexican board-flex position, check height before you swap.

Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the multilayer ceramic capacitor export published by Walsin Technology (Walsin), 24,026 rows and 23,601 distinct part numbers, and a ready-stock snapshot of 1,125 part numbers dated 23 September 2026. This post joins the two on the soft-termination series and asks what the shelf holds, what it pairs with, and what the export says about termination and AEC-Q200 on those rows. Every part number below is real. Part-number counts only; no piece counts, and the snapshot is a date, not a live feed.

How many soft-termination MLCC part numbers are on the Hong Kong shelf?

30, all SH, against 1,671 in the export. We parsed all 24,026 export rows down to 23,601 distinct part numbers and counted the three soft-termination series: SH (Ag-poly) holds 1,488, SG (Cu-poly) 65 and ST (the AEC-Q200 soft-termination series) 118. The shelf holds 30 SH lines, 2.0% of SH, and no SG or ST line.

Series Export parts Shelf lines Share on shelf Match / mismatch against a request for soft termination
SH, Ag-poly 1,488 30 2.0% Match — the only soft-termination series on the shelf
SG, Cu-poly 65 0 0.0% Mismatch — no shelf line
ST, AEC-Q200 soft termination 118 0 0.0% Mismatch — no shelf line, and none of the 764 shelf lines is in an AEC-Q200 series
All three 1,671 30 1.8% 30 of 764 matched shelf lines, 3.9%

The 30 split 23 X7R and 7 NP0, for example SH18B104K500 (X7R) and SH15N271G500 (NP0). The series itself is covered in soft termination MLCC: SH, SG, ST and VT.

Which case sizes does the soft-termination shelf cover?

Seven of ten, and it is thick at 0805 and 1206. We counted the SH export by case size and the 30 shelf lines against it. 0805 and 1206 hold 10 lines each, 66.7% of the shelf, against 53.0% of the export. 1812, 1825 and 2225, 162 SH parts, have no shelf line.

Case size SH export parts Share of export Shelf lines Share of shelf Shelf minus export Match / mismatch (within 2 points)
0402 81 5.4% 1 3.3% -2.1 Mismatch — marginal; one line
0603 239 16.1% 3 10.0% -6.1 Mismatch — shelf thinner
0805 328 22.0% 10 33.3% +11.3 Mismatch — shelf concentrated
1206 461 31.0% 10 33.3% +2.4 Mismatch — marginal
1210 152 10.2% 4 13.3% +3.1 Mismatch — marginal
1808 24 1.6% 1 3.3% +1.7 Match
1812 129 8.7% 0 0.0% -8.7 Mismatch — 129 parts, no line
2220 41 2.8% 1 3.3% +0.6 Match
1825 17 1.1% 0 0.0% -1.1 Match on share; no line
2225 16 1.1% 0 0.0% -1.1 Match on share; no line

The shelf has 10 lines at 0805 and 1 at 0402, such as SH15N271G500. If your flex position is at 1812, the export has 129 SH parts and the snapshot of 23 September 2026 had none.

Which soft-termination shelf lines have a standard-termination twin on the shelf?

Nine of thirty. We defined a twin precisely so you can repeat it: a non-soft-termination export row with the same case size, dielectric, capacitance, tolerance and rated voltage. All 30 SH shelf lines have a twin in the export, but only 9 have one on the shelf. In 4 of those 9 pairs the soft part is 1.25 mm nominal thickness and the standard part is 0.80 mm: 0.45 mm of height. We have not seen this counted anywhere.

Across all 30 shelf lines and the whole export, 22 have a twin at the same nominal thickness and 8 do not. All 8 are 1.25 mm nominal in SH and have only 0.80 mm twins anywhere in the export: SH21B151K500, SH21B331K500, SH21B681K101, SH31B222K500, SH31B683K101, SH21B221K500, SH21B471K500 and SH21B682K500. Going the other way, 229 of the 734 non-soft shelf lines, 31.2%, have an SH twin in the export; only 9 of them have it on the shelf. Nominal thickness is not the only dimension: in every pair above the soft part’s published tolerance band is wider than the standard part’s on at least one of length, width or thickness. For the thickness symbol itself, see how to read a Walsin MLCC part number.

What does the export say about termination finish and AEC-Q200 on these lines?

Nothing about a finish, and nothing about AEC-Q200 except in a series name. We checked the Termination column on all 764 matched shelf lines. Zero state a finish. 30 are non-empty, and all 30 hold a copy of the Tolerance string, for example +-10%; of the 30 SH lines, 29 are empty and 1, SH18B104K500, holds the copy.

Cell state on the 764 shelf lines Lines Match / mismatch against “states a termination finish”
Termination states a finish such as Cu/Ni/Sn 0 Mismatch
Termination holds a copy of the Tolerance cell 30 Mismatch — a tolerance, not a finish
Termination empty 734 Mismatch — nothing stated
Series name says AEC-Q200 (MT or ST) 0 Mismatch — no shelf line in an AEC-Q200 series

Soft termination is therefore stated in the export only through the series name. Export-wide, 1,106 of 24,026 rows hold a tolerance-type value in the Termination column and none states a finish, which we published earlier. Walsin’s datasheets say AEC-Q200 compliant, never certified, and Venatech makes no qualification claim of its own: ask for the qualification report for the exact part number. We hold the SH sheet, Soft Termination SH, and it is the document to read for the termination, not the export.

What should a Mexican buyer do before swapping a standard part for a soft-termination one?

Read the height and the datasheet first. Paste the BOM into the free cross-reference tool, up to 500 part numbers or an Excel or CSV, and use the special-requirement filter for soft termination. It states differences from your original. Then check ready stock, 1,125 part numbers as at 23 September 2026. Venatech ships from Hong Kong; there is no Mexican entity and no inventory in the Americas.

The short version

The shelf holds 30 soft-termination lines, all SH, against 1,671 in the export across SH, SG and ST. 0805 and 1206 hold 20 of the 30. All 30 have a standard twin in the export; 9 have one on the shelf. In 4 of those 9 pairs the soft part is 1.25 mm against 0.80 mm. The export states a termination finish on 0 of 764 shelf lines, and no shelf line is in an AEC-Q200 series. Confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit; qualification stays with you.

Send us the flex-sensitive positions on your BOM and we will tell you which SH parts the export holds for them, how tall each is, and whether the shelf held one on 23 September 2026. And a question back: when you swapped to soft termination, did anyone measure the height?

Frequently asked questions

How many soft-termination MLCC are in Hong Kong stock?

30 part numbers in the snapshot dated 23 September 2026, all in the SH series, which holds 1,488 part numbers in Walsin’s export. The SG series, 65 parts, and the ST series, 118 parts, have no shelf line. Together the three series hold 1,671 part numbers.

Is a soft-termination MLCC the same height as a standard one?

Not always. Of 9 pairs on our shelf sharing size, dielectric, capacitance, tolerance and voltage, 4 differ: the SH part is 1.25 mm nominal and the standard part 0.80 mm, a 0.45 mm difference at 0805. The other 5 match on nominal thickness. Check the export row and the datasheet.

Does the Walsin export say whether a part has soft termination?

Only through the series name. The Termination column states a finish on none of 764 shelf lines; 30 hold a copy of the tolerance string instead. The SH, SG and ST series names carry the soft-termination meaning. The Walsin SH datasheet is the document for the termination itself.

Is any AEC-Q200 soft-termination MLCC in stock?

No. The ST series, 118 part numbers in Walsin’s export, has no line in the snapshot dated 23 September 2026, and none of the 764 matched lines is in an automotive series. Walsin’s datasheets say AEC-Q200 compliant, not certified; ask for the qualification report for the exact part number.

Which case sizes of SH soft-termination MLCC are in stock?

Seven of ten: 0402, 0603, 0805, 1206, 1210, 1808 and 2220. 0805 and 1206 hold 10 lines each. 1812, 1825 and 2225 have no shelf line against 162 SH part numbers in the export. This is a dated snapshot, not a live feed.

Does Venatech hold MLCC stock in Mexico?

No. Venatech Limited is in Hong Kong, with group entities in Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen and Chengdu in preparation. There is no Mexican entity and no inventory in the Americas. Everything ships from Hong Kong, and ready stock is a dated snapshot of 1,125 part numbers as at 23 September 2026.
