Passive components for Uzbekistan’s appliance assemblers, from Hong Kong, hinge on one dielectric code. Our 23 September 2026 stock list holds 74 Y5V lines; 68 have a Walsin Technology (Walsin) general purpose X7R or X5R twin on size, capacitance and rated voltage, and 35 have one on the shelf. Six have none.
Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, wrote this for a buyer at an appliance assembly plant in Uzbekistan whose board bill of materials still names Y5V and who needs a second source or a smaller order. We do not know your BOM and make no claim about what appliance makers use. Every part number below is real and every count is ours. The one development we cite names its source, its date and the day we fetched it (23 October 2026).
What did Uzbekistan’s statistics office report on appliance output?
Refrigerators surged and washing machines did not. The National Statistics Committee reported on 18 August 2025 that Uzbekistan made 91.8 thousand household refrigerators in January to June 2025 (preliminary), 3.6 times the 25.7 thousand of the same months of 2024, and up from 47.5 thousand in 2023. Two days later it reported 188.7 thousand washing machines and clothes dryers for January to June 2025.
That second figure is 0.5 thousand above the 188.2 thousand of January to June 2024 and below the 233.4 thousand of 2023. These are the latest appliance counts we could source: the January to June 2026 industrial production release dated 28 July 2026, which we also opened, carries no appliance line. Neither page says anything about electronic components or shortages, and we draw no conclusion about which parts any Uzbek company buys. We have no relationship with the Committee.
| Point | What the source says | Source date | Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Refrigerators | 91.8 thousand units, January to June 2025, 3.6 times 2024 | stat.uz, 18 August 2025 | Match for volume context; mismatch with any parts claim, none is made |
| Washing machines and dryers | 188.7 thousand units, January to June 2025 | stat.uz, 20 August 2025 | Match for volume context |
| 2023 comparison | Refrigerators 47.5 thousand; washers and dryers 233.4 thousand | stat.uz, 18 and 20 August 2025 | Mismatch: the two lines moved in opposite directions |
| Components | Not mentioned | both pages | Mismatch: no part, supplier or shortage is named |
How many of our 74 Y5V shelf lines have an X7R or X5R twin?
68 of 74 have a twin at the same voltage. We read the description field of all 1,125 lines in the 23 September 2026 stock list and found 74 marked Y5V: 57 with a Z tolerance code and 17 with M, across six case sizes from 0402 to 1812. Only 1 of the 74 has a row in Walsin’s MLCC export. For the other 73 we decoded size, capacitance and voltage from the description and searched the General Purpose series for X7R or X5R rows with the same three values.
68 match. 64 have an X7R twin and 23 an X5R twin. 35 of the 74 have a twin on the shelf, all X7R; none of the X5R twins is stocked. We have not seen this counted anywhere. Six lines have no same-voltage twin: 0805F333M251 and 0805F333Z251 (33 nF, 250 V), 0805F685Z100, 1210F685Z160 and 1812F685Z500 (6.8 µF), and 1812F106Z250 (10 µF, 25 V), which has a twin at a higher voltage only.
| Stock-list group | Lines | Result | Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marked Y5V in the description | 74 | 73 have no export row | Mismatch: the Y5V side comes from our stock list, not Walsin’s parametric export |
| General Purpose twin, same size, capacitance, voltage | 74 | 68 yes, 6 no | Match on three fields; mismatch on dielectric and tolerance code |
| Twin dielectric | 68 | 64 X7R, 23 X5R | Mismatch on dielectric by definition |
| Twin on the 23 September 2026 shelf | 74 | 35, all X7R | Match on three fields; 0 X5R twins stocked |
| No same-voltage twin | 74 | 6 | Mismatch: no row with the same size, capacitance and voltage |
Which worked part numbers show the twins, and what differs?
Take 0805F474Z500: 470 nF, 50 V, 0805, Y5V, Z tolerance. 0805B474K500 shares its case size, capacitance and rated voltage as an X7R part at plus or minus 10 percent, and it is on our shelf; 0805B474J500 and 0805B474M500 share the same three fields at 5 and 20 percent. The dielectric code, the tolerance code and the series all differ. The last column is for your incumbent part.

A twin is a catalogue match, not a swap. Class II dielectric codes describe how capacitance moves with temperature and voltage, and moving off Y5V changes that behaviour; read our guide on NP0, X7R and X5R dielectrics and the DC bias and derating post before you decide a part is acceptable. The MLCC range lists the series. The Z code, which the export spells minus 20 plus 80 percent, appears in 57 of the 74 lines; the twins in the table carry plus or minus 5, 10 or 20 percent. Our extract of the stock list, as at 23 September 2026, is the only place the Y5V lines are listed.
What do Walsin’s documents say about household appliances?
Nothing by name. We converted all 28 Walsin datasheets we hold, 451 pages, to text and searched them: appliance, refrigerator and household each appear in 0 of 28 files. Consumer appears in 3: the general purpose MLCC sheet and both resistor sheets, as “consumer electronics” or “consumer electrical equipment”. Y5V appears in 5 files, including the General Purpose sheet.
We hold no datasheet for the inductor, MOV, disc, RF or thin film lines, and the WR general purpose resistor sheet is ASC_WR_V24, September 2016, ten years old. A consumer-electronics line on a sheet is not an approval for a compressor or heating-element duty. If your board sees mains, our posts on MOV varistor selection and the S2 safety series explain what the export does and does not carry.
What will we not tell you about Uzbekistan?
Anything about customs, tariffs or export control. We hold no office, entity or stock in Uzbekistan; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We state no duty, certification requirement, transit time or carrier, and we give no legal or customs advice; confirm with your compliance team. We hold neither ISO 9001 nor IATF 16949, and we make no claim that any Walsin part is approved for a given appliance standard.
How Venatech helps
Start with the line you most want a second source for. Paste its Y5V part number into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts and lists Walsin candidates with match and mismatch fields, or upload the whole list to the BOM checker, up to 500 part numbers or an Excel or CSV file. The Hong Kong ready-stock list is a dated snapshot, 23 September 2026, never live-synced. Walsin is the only line we are authorised for; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply. We work from Hong Kong, in small lots, and you can request a quote through the site. Lot and date-code traceability and a certificate of conformity per shipment are available on request. The twin table above is our worked example from our own export and stock list. Qualification stays with you.
The short version
If your appliance board names Y5V, the stock list gives you a way to test the alternative cheaply. 68 of our 74 Y5V lines have an X7R or X5R General Purpose twin at the same size, capacitance and voltage, 35 have one on the shelf, and six have none. Uzbekistan made 91.8 thousand refrigerators in the first half of 2025, 3.6 times the year before.
Send us your Y5V lines and we will return the Walsin candidates with every difference stated and the shelf status of each. Which of your Y5V lines would survive a move to X7R, and which only look as if they would?

Frequently asked questions
What did Uzbekistan report on refrigerator output?
The National Statistics Committee reported on 18 August 2025 that Uzbekistan made 91.8 thousand household refrigerators in January to June 2025, preliminary, 3.6 times the 25.7 thousand of 2024. It names no components. We draw no conclusion about what any company buys.
How many stocked Y5V lines have an X7R or X5R twin?
68 of 74, as at 23 September 2026, share case size, capacitance and rated voltage with a General Purpose X7R or X5R part. 64 have an X7R twin and 23 an X5R twin. A twin is a catalogue match, not a qualified swap.
Are the twins on your shelf?
For 35 of the 74 lines, all X7R. None of the X5R twins is stocked. Six lines have no same-voltage twin at all, including the 6.8 µF lines. Shelf status is a dated snapshot, not live stock, and carries no lead-time or stock guarantee.
Is the Y5V side in Walsin’s export?
Almost never. Only 1 of the 74 stocked Y5V lines has a row in the MLCC export; the other 73 come from our stock-list description. We therefore decode size, capacitance and voltage from that description and flag the Y5V side as ours.
Do Walsin datasheets mention household appliances?
No. We searched all 28 datasheets we hold, 451 pages: appliance, refrigerator and household appear in 0 of 28. Consumer appears in 3, as consumer electronics or consumer electrical equipment. That is not an appliance approval.
Do you give customs or export advice for Uzbekistan?
No. We hold no Uzbek customs or export-control content, and no office or stock in Uzbekistan. We give no legal or customs advice; confirm with your compliance team. We supply parts, lot and date-code traceability and, on request, a certificate of conformity per shipment.
