Industrial pump and automation electronics for Denmark often hang on one small part, the current-sense shunt. We filtered Walsin Technology (Walsin) 5 mΩ, 2512, plus or minus 1 percent shunts at 2 W or more: 12 part numbers survive, only 2 of them state 50 ppm or better, and none is on our Hong Kong shelf as at 23 September 2026.
Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin chip resistor and thin film exports and a stock list dated 23 September 2026. This post is for a design or sourcing engineer at a Danish maker of pumps, motor drives or automation equipment who senses motor current with a shunt and wants a second source. Every part number is real and every count is ours. The market statement names its source and the day we read it, 23 October 2026.
What did a Danish pump maker report for 2025, and why does it matter to a component buyer?
It reported growth, and growth pulls volume through the supply chain. According to Grundfos’s annual report page published on 4 February 2026, sales for 2025 were 4.7 billion euro, up 5.7 percent, with 492 million euro of earnings before interest and tax and special items.
The same page names the United States and data centres as growth drivers in its headline. Those are the source’s figures, not ours. We draw one conclusion, and it is ours: an industrial maker that grows sells more drives, and each drive has a current-sense stage whose resistor must be sourced, documented and, ideally, doubled. We have no relationship with Grundfos or any other Danish pump or automation maker, and we say nothing about what any of them buys.
How many Walsin current-sense parts survive a 5 mΩ, 2 W, 50 ppm brief?
Two, out of 11,616. The two Walsin low-ohm current-sense exports hold 11,616 distinct part numbers (1,188 metal and 10,428 thick film); 78 are 5 mΩ, 34 of those are 2512, 18 of the 2512 parts are plus or minus 1 percent, 12 of those are rated 2 W or 3 W, and 2 state a temperature coefficient of 50 ppm per degree or better. We have not seen this counted anywhere.
We counted by opening both files, parsing the resistance field and filtering step by step. The 12 at 2 W or more split by stated coefficient: 2 at 50 ppm, 7 at 70 ppm, 1 at 75 ppm and 2 at 100 ppm. Rated power matters because it sets the current: 2 W across 5 mΩ is 20 A at rated power, and 3 W is about 24.5 A, before any derating you apply. Our post on thick film versus metal low-ohm current sense explains the families, and chip resistor power rating by case size covers the derating question.
Which Walsin parts cross a 5 mΩ, 2512, 1 percent, 2 W, 50 ppm shunt?
One standard part and its automotive-series twin. Of the 78 five-milliohm parts, WW25NR005FTL is the one standard-series 2512 that matches on resistance, tolerance, rated power and temperature coefficient, and WW25NR005FTLJ matches on the same fields under an automotive series name.
The reader’s incumbent goes in the last column.
| Walsin part | Description | On shelf 23 Sep 2026 | Match / mismatch with the brief | Your incumbent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
WW25NR005FTL |
Metal Plate Power Low Ohm, 2512, 5 mΩ, plus or minus 1%, 2 W, 50 ppm or better | No | Match on size, resistance, tolerance, power, coefficient | |
WW25NR005FTLJ |
Metal Plate Low Ohm (Automotive series name), 2512, 5 mΩ, plus or minus 1%, 2 W, 50 ppm or better | No | Match on the electrical fields; mismatch in series, so request the document for the exact part | |
WW25AR005FTL |
Metal Plate Power Low Ohm, 2512, 5 mΩ, plus or minus 1%, 3 W, 70 ppm | No | Mismatch: coefficient is 70 ppm; power is higher | |
WW25RR005FTL |
Metal Plate Power Low Ohm, 2512, 5 mΩ, plus or minus 1%, 2 W, 75 ppm | No | Mismatch: coefficient is 75 ppm | |
WW25DR005FTL |
Metal Foil Low Ohm Power Sensing, 2512, 5 mΩ, plus or minus 1%, 2 W, 100 ppm | No | Mismatch: coefficient is 100 ppm and a different construction | |
WW25MR005FTL |
Metal Plate Power Low Ohm, 2512, 5 mΩ, plus or minus 1%, 1 W, 50 ppm | No | Mismatch: rated power is 1 W, so 14 A at rated power |
A match in the table is a match on the export fields, no more. Confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit.
What does the Hong Kong shelf hold in current sense?
Three lines, all far from 5 mΩ. Of the 11,616 current-sense part numbers, 3 are on our stock list as at 23 September 2026: WW08WR270FTL, WW08WR390FTL and WW08WR470FTL, all 0805, plus or minus 1 percent and 1/4 W, at 0.27, 0.39 and 0.47 Ω.
The lowest stocked value is 54 times a 5 mΩ shunt, so a drive shunt is a quote line, not a shelf line. The ready stock list is a dated snapshot, never live-synced, and the chip resistor range lists the families. We hold lot and date-code traceability, a certificate of conformity per shipment on request and original sealed Walsin packaging.
What will we not tell you about drives, safety and compliance?
Anything about your drive, your safety function or the standards it meets. Of the 28 Walsin datasheets we hold, 2 cover chip resistors, and neither covers the metal-plate current-sense families in this post, so every figure here comes from the export, not a datasheet. We hold no ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 certificate.
We make no claim that any part is qualified for an industrial drive or a safety application. We hold no office, entity or stock in Denmark; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We give no legal, customs or conformity advice; confirm with your compliance team. Qualification stays with you.
How can Venatech help a Danish pump or automation maker?
How Venatech helps starts with a free paste box. The cross-reference tool decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts and shows the Walsin candidates with each field marked match or mismatch. Load a whole BOM, up to 500 part numbers or an Excel or CSV file, to run every line of a drive board. The ready-stock list is a Hong Kong snapshot dated 23 September 2026.
Worked example from our own export: the 5 mΩ, 2512, 1 percent, 2 W brief above returned 12 parts, 2 of them at 50 ppm, and none is stocked. Walsin is the only line we are authorised for; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply. We serve from Hong Kong in small lots, and you request a quote through the site. We hold 28 Walsin datasheets, 451 pages, and send them on request.
The short version
For a Danish pump or automation maker, the 5 mΩ shunt at 2 W is a one-part ladder: 2 of 12 parts reach 50 ppm, one is a standard series, none is on our shelf. The electrical cross is quick; the series and the datasheet are yours to check.
Send us one shunt line from your drive BOM and we will return the Walsin parts with every difference stated. If your shunt has one source and a coefficient of 50 ppm, what is your plan when it changes?

Frequently asked questions
How did Grundfos’s sales develop in 2025?
According to its annual report page dated 4 February 2026, sales were 4.7 billion euro, up 5.7 percent, with 492 million euro of earnings before interest and tax and special items. These are the company’s figures, not ours, and we have no relationship with Grundfos.
How many Walsin 5 mΩ, 2512, 1 percent shunts rated 2 W or more reach 50 ppm?
Two of 12 part numbers: WW25NR005FTL and WW25NR005FTLJ. Seven of the 12 state 70 ppm, one 75 ppm and two 100 ppm. None is on our shelf as at 23 September 2026. Confirm against the datasheet and qualify in your own circuit.
Which Walsin part crosses a 5 mΩ, 2512, 1 percent, 2 W, 50 ppm brief?
WW25NR005FTL matches on size, resistance, tolerance, rated power and temperature coefficient. WW25AR005FTL has a 70 ppm coefficient and WW25MR005FTL is rated 1 W. Confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit.
What current does a 5 mΩ, 2 W shunt carry at rated power?
20 A, from the square root of 2 W divided by 5 mΩ, before any derating. A 3 W part is about 24.5 A and a 1 W part about 14 A. Your derating, layout and temperature rise decide the usable figure, not ours.
Do you have a datasheet for these Walsin current-sense parts?
Not for these families. We hold 28 Walsin datasheets of 451 pages, and the two resistor sheets do not cover the metal-plate current-sense series, so the figures here come from the export. Ask us for the sheet that covers your exact part number.
Do you hold stock in Denmark or give compliance advice?
No. We hold no office, entity or stock in Denmark; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen. We give no legal, customs or conformity advice. Confirm with your compliance team. We offer lot and date-code traceability and a certificate of conformity per shipment on request.
