Telecom Power Resistors for Ivory Coast from Hong Kong: Five Yageo RC Lines Match 105 Walsin Rows, 44 Are General Purpose, 2 Are on the Shelf and 18 of the 44 Carry a Blank Inside the Part Number

Telecom power resistors for Ivory Coast cross from Yageo RC codes once you pick the family. Five RC lines match 105 Walsin Technology (Walsin) rows on size, value, tolerance and a 100 ppm ceiling, 44 of them General Purpose, and 2 of the 5 lines have a plain part on our Hong Kong shelf. 18 of the 44 codes carry a blank.

Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, wrote this for a purchasing or design engineer at an Ivorian telecom-power, solar-hybrid or monitoring-board maker whose bill of materials carries Yageo RC codes. We decoded five real lines with Yageo’s own numbering datasheet and searched the Walsin chip resistor export of 234,815 rows (234,401 distinct part numbers). News statements name their source and the day we fetched it, 23 October 2026.

What is Ivory Coast doing on 5G and connectivity?

It is moving toward 5G and widening coverage. According to a report dated 12 June 2026, the communications minister announced a 5G rollout for July 2026, starting in cities of more than 25,000 inhabitants, and said Starlink had been authorised to offer fixed satellite internet from July 2026 under a 12-month trial licence.

An earlier industry article dated 1 August 2025 describes the spectrum plan as 700 MHz for coverage, the 3300 to 3600 MHz band for coverage and capacity and a 6 GHz band for capacity, with pilot networks being prepared in Abidjan and Yamoussoukro, and says about 47 percent of the population lives in zones that conventional networks do not serve. A third item, dated 28 April 2026, is headlined as the regulator strengthening compliance and preparing 5G; we could read only its headline and summary. We found no source confirming that the July launch happened, so we call it announced. Our reasoning, labelled as ours: new sites and rural coverage need rectifiers, solar-hybrid controllers and monitoring boards, and those carry the thick-film resistors this post is about. We have no relationship with any Ivorian regulator or operator.

How do five Yageo RC ordering codes decode?

Seven positions, and Yageo prints the tables. We decoded five RC codes with Yageo’s RC_L datasheet (version 14, revision history dated 22 October 2025): size, a tolerance letter, a packaging letter, a temperature-coefficient symbol, a reel-and-power code, a resistance value in which R, K and M mark the decimal point, and a default L.

Tolerance F is plus or minus 1 percent and J is plus or minus 5 percent; packaging R is a paper reel and K an embossed reel; 07 is a 7-inch reel at standard power; the dash TCR symbol means “based on spec”, so the coefficient comes from the size table. Each code resolved on Yageo’s spec-sheet address on 23 October 2026 with the value, tolerance and size we expected, which shows the code exists; the decode is ours.

Our post on crossing Yageo and Kemet chip resistors to Walsin covers the family-level picture.

Which Walsin rows match, and how many are General Purpose?

105 rows pass a four-field filter and 44 answer the question. We counted 105 Walsin rows that share size, resistance, tolerance and a TCR of 100 ppm or better with the five lines, in six families: General Purpose 44, High Power 32, Anti-Surge 11, High Voltage 11, High Precision 6 and Array 1.

A standard thick-film RC line corresponds to Walsin’s General Purpose family (WR, MR and SR), so the other 61 rows are different products. Of the 44 General Purpose rows, 21 begin with W, 13 with M and 10 with S. The last letters of a Walsin code (J, V, Z, W) mark special-function variants; the Walsin resistor sheet we hold for the WR series is dated September 2016, so we do not explain those letters and ask you to confirm them with us before buying a variant.

Walsin’s export lists packaging as a 7-inch reel with no quantity on all 105 rows, while Yageo’s datasheet gives 5,000 pieces on a 7-inch paper reel at 0603, 0805 and 1206 and 4,000 on an embossed reel at 2010, so reel counts cannot be compared from the export. The Walsin export carries no voltage rating for these rows, while Yageo’s size table gives 75 V at 0603, 150 V at 0805 and 200 V at 1206 and 2010; confirm voltage against the Walsin datasheet. Our post on chip resistor power rating by case size sets out how the Walsin power ratings vary by family.

Why do 18 of the 44 General Purpose rows carry a blank?

Because plus or minus 5 percent Walsin codes are written with a space. In the whole export we counted 39,576 resistor rows whose part number contains a blank, including 30,598 of the 36,110 plus or minus 5 percent rows, and every one of the 18 General Purpose rows on the two J-tolerance lines above has one, as in WR08X103 JTL.

The practical effect is on a pasted BOM. Our stock list writes the same part without the blank: of the 250 resistor lines on the shelf that we could match to the export, 67 have a blank in the export code. A code typed one way may not match a code stored the other way, which is why the cross-reference tool matches on fields and not on the string. We have not seen this counted anywhere: 5 lines, 105 rows that pass a four-field filter, 44 in the right family, 18 of those with a blank, 2 on the shelf, and a 2010 line where two of the six General Purpose variants carry a different power rating from the rest.

What does the Hong Kong shelf hold for these five lines?

Two plain commercial parts. Our stock list as at 23 September 2026 holds WR06X1001FTL and WR06X471 JTL (stored on the shelf list as WR06X471JTL), so 2 of the 5 lines have a General Purpose part on the shelf, both at 0603.

We matched the stock list’s 254 chip resistor rows to the export and 249 matched; the shelf is a dated snapshot, not live-synced, so see the ready-stock list. The range is in our chip resistor range. The 0805, 1206 and 2010 lines are not on it.

What should a telecom power maker in Abidjan check that this table cannot show?

Voltage, grade and environment. Telecom power boards sit in hot cabinets, and we matched on size, value, tolerance and a TCR ceiling only, so working voltage, temperature range and any grade your drawing calls for are open. We make no claim that any of the 105 rows is suitable for outdoor telecom use.

Next, the blank and the variant letters above. Qualification stays with you. We hold no office, entity or stock in Ivory Coast, we give no legal, customs or conformity advice (confirm with your compliance team), and we hold no ISO 9001 certificate. Our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation.

How Venatech helps

Paste a Yageo, Vishay, KOA or Panasonic resistor code into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts, and read the Walsin candidates with each field marked match or mismatch. Load a whole BOM, up to 500 part numbers or an Excel or CSV file, to run every line at once. The ready-stock list is a Hong Kong snapshot dated 23 September 2026.

Worked example from our own export: the five lines above returned 105 rows, 44 in the General Purpose family, and our shelf covers 2 of them. Walsin is the only line we are authorised for; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply. We serve from Hong Kong in small lots and cross-reference by hand when a code will not decode. A quote is requested through the site, and the 28 datasheets we hold (451 pages) are sent on request.

The short version

For an Ivorian telecom-power maker, a Yageo RC line crosses by family first: 105 Walsin rows pass a four-field filter, 44 are General Purpose, 2 of the 5 lines are on the Hong Kong shelf, and the plus or minus 5 percent codes carry a blank that a pasted list can lose. The open items are voltage, the variant letters and the lines not on the shelf.

Paste your power-board BOM into /bom/ or send us the RC lines you want crossed, and we will return the Walsin candidates with the family and blank differences named. Which of your resistor lines is a plus or minus 5 percent code that your purchasing list may have mangled?

What has Ivory Coast announced for 5G?

A report dated 12 June 2026 says the communications minister announced a 5G rollout for July 2026, beginning in cities of more than 25,000 inhabitants, and authorised Starlink for fixed satellite internet from July 2026 on a 12-month licence. We found no source confirming the launch. These are the source’s statements, not ours.

Which Walsin part matches RC0603FR-071KL?

WR06X1001FTL matches on 0603, 1 kilohm, plus or minus 1 percent, a 100 ppm ceiling and 1/10 W, and is on our shelf as at 23 September 2026. Confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit.

Why does a Walsin plus or minus 5 percent code contain a space?

We cannot explain the maker’s reason. We counted 39,576 resistor rows whose part number contains a blank, 30,598 of them plus or minus 5 percent rows, as in WR08X103 JTL. Our stock list stores some of the same parts without the blank, so match on fields, not on the string.

Why does a four-field search return 105 rows for five lines?

Because size, resistance, tolerance and TCR do not select a family. We counted 105 rows across six families, of which 44 are General Purpose, 32 High Power, 11 Anti-Surge, 11 High Voltage, 6 High Precision and 1 Array. Choose the family before the part.

Do you have an office or stock in Ivory Coast?

No. We hold no office, entity or stock in Ivory Coast; we serve from Hong Kong in small lots, and our other locations are Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen. We give no legal, customs or conformity advice. Confirm with your compliance team.
