Vishay CRCW to Walsin Cross-Reference for Malaysia: Walsin WR Power Sits One Step Below the CRCW Headline at 3 of 8 Sizes, and a 562 Ohm 0603 Brief Returns 23 Single Resistors at 4 Power Ratings, 0 on the Shelf

A Vishay CRCW to Walsin Technology (Walsin) cross-reference turns on rated power before anything else. At 0402, 0603 and 0805 the Walsin general purpose WR rating sits one step below CRCW’s headline figure, and the automotive MR series sits on it. For a 562 ohm, 1%, 0603 brief we found 23 single resistors at 4 power ratings, none on our shelf.

Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin chip resistor export of 234,815 rows, 234,401 of them distinct part numbers once embedded spaces are removed, and a stock list dated 23 September 2026. This post is for a procurement or design engineer at a Malaysian electronics maker whose bill of materials names a Vishay CRCW resistor. Every Walsin part number is real and every count is ours. Statements from the press and from Vishay’s datasheet name their source and the day we read it, 23 October 2026.

What does Malaysia’s electronics output tell a resistor buyer?

That demand on the electrical and electronic side is rising fast. The Department of Statistics Malaysia reported, as covered by Malay Mail on 9 October 2026, that manufacturing sales were 185.0 billion ringgit in August 2026, up 9.9% on a year earlier, with electrical and electronic equipment sales up 22.6%. The same report says output of computer, electronic and optical products in export-oriented industries rose 24.9%, and sales for the first eight months of 2026 reached 1.39 trillion ringgit, up 7.9%.

We draw one conclusion, and it is ours: a buyer on a growing line is asked to hold more than one source for commodity resistors, and a cross-reference is the quickest way to start. We have no information on any maker’s Vishay volumes and say nothing about Vishay’s supply.

How do you read a Vishay CRCW part number, field by field?

In six fields. Vishay’s CRCW e3 datasheet, document 20035 and revision dated 14 April 2026, builds the global part number from a model, a size, a resistance, a tolerance letter, a temperature coefficient letter and a packaging code, and prints CRCW0603562RFKEA as its worked example. That is a 0603, 562 ohm, plus or minus 1%, plus or minus 100 ppm per kelvin part in packaging code EA.

Vishay field In CRCW0603562RFKEA Walsin field in WR06X5620FTL Match / mismatch
Model CRCW WR (W commercial, R general purpose) Match in function, different letters
Size 0603 06 Match on body; Walsin writes a two-digit code, not the inch size
Resistance 562R (562 ohm) 5620 Match on value; different syntax, Walsin uses three digits plus a multiplier
Tolerance F (plus or minus 1%) F Match
Temperature coefficient K (plus or minus 100 ppm/K) X (export prints up to plus or minus 100) Match on the number; the letters differ
Packaging EA (5,000 per 7 inch reel, 4 mm pitch) L Mismatch or unknown: the export prints 7 inch reel taping with no quantity or pitch
Termination not a field; E prefix and e3 tin T (Sn base, lead free) Match in function; Walsin states it as a letter

All six Vishay fields map onto a Walsin field; the two Walsin elements with no CRCW field are the explicit termination letter T and an optional special-code suffix such as J, V or Z for automotive and anti-sulfuration variants. For the field-by-field Walsin layout, see our post on why Walsin part numbers do not paste into your BOM.

Where does Walsin’s rated power sit against the CRCW headline at each size?

One step lower at three sizes. Vishay prints a headline P70 of 0.10 W at 0402, 0.125 W at 0603 and 0.25 W at 0805, and a second table that gives standard and extended mode as 0.063/0.10, 0.10/0.125 and 0.125/0.25 W. The Walsin WR series rates the same three sizes at 1/16, 1/10 and 1/8 W, which are the standard figures, and the automotive MR series rates them 1/10, 1/8 and 1/4 W, which are the headline figures.

At the other five sizes the two makers agree. We took each Walsin figure from the Rated Power field of the export for 1 kilohm, plus or minus 1% parts with the FTL suffix.

Size Vishay P70 (standard / headline) Walsin WR part, rating Walsin MR part, rating Match / mismatch
0402 0.063 / 0.10 W WR04X1001FTL, 1/16 W MR04X1001FTL, 1/10 W WR matches the standard figure; MR matches the headline
0603 0.10 / 0.125 W WR06X1001FTL, 1/10 W MR06X1001FTL, 1/8 W WR matches the standard figure; MR matches the headline
0805 0.125 / 0.25 W WR08X1001FTL, 1/8 W MR08X1001FTL, 1/4 W WR matches the standard figure; MR matches the headline
1206 0.25 W WR12X1001FTL, 1/4 W MR12X1001FTL, 1/4 W Match on both
1210 0.5 W WR10X1001FTL, 1/2 W MR10X1001FTL, 1/2 W Match on both
1218 1.0 W WR18X1001FTL, 1 W MR18X1001FTL, 1 W Match on both
2010 0.75 W WR20X1001FTL, 3/4 W MR20X1001FTL, 3/4 W Match on both
2512 1.0 W WR25X1001FTL, 1 W MR25X1001FTL, 1 W Match on both

We have not seen this three-sizes pattern counted anywhere. It means a drawing that says “0.125 W” on a 0603 is satisfied only by a part that is rated above the WR default, and that a downgrade from the MR figure is a design decision, not a typo. The MR series is the automotive one, so crossing a commercial CRCW to MR changes grade; grade up from commercial is a cost question, grade down is a qualification question. Our post on chip resistor power rating by case size covers the standard figures.

Which Walsin parts answer a CRCW0603 562 ohm, 1%, 100 ppm brief?

Twenty-three single resistors. In the Walsin export, 0603, 562 ohm, plus or minus 1% and 100 ppm or better returns 24 rows, one of them a four-element array, so 23 single resistors, in 14 series: 12 rated 1/10 W, 7 rated 1/8 W, 3 rated 1/3 W and 1 rated 1/4 W. None is on our stock list as at 23 September 2026.

A 0.125 W drawing is met on a commercial series by the High Power line, not the general purpose line. Six rows show the spread.

Walsin part Series, rating Grade Match / mismatch with CRCW0603562RFKEA Your incumbent
WR06X5620FTL General purpose, 1/10 W Commercial Match on size, value, tolerance and TCR. Mismatch on power against the 0.125 W headline; equal to the standard figure CRCW0603562RFKEA is not in the export
WR06X5620FTR General purpose, lead-free 100 ppm, 1/10 W Commercial Mismatch: same power gap; suffix differs
WF06P5620FTL High Power, 1/8 W Commercial Match on size, value, tolerance, TCR and 0.125 W. Mismatch: different series
MR06X5620FTL General purpose automotive, 1/8 W Automotive Match on power. Mismatch: grade changes
WF06A5620FTL High Power, 1/3 W Commercial Mismatch: higher power than asked
WK06V5620FTL High Voltage, 1/10 W Commercial Mismatch: high voltage series, 1/10 W

Packaging and the exact temperature coefficient letter stay open on every row, because the export does not print a reel quantity at this size. If your brief is 0.125 W and commercial, WF06P5620FTL is the row to compare first. Confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit.

What will we not tell you about a Vishay part?

Whether it is available, changing or constrained. We hold no Vishay affected-part list, we make no statement about any Vishay part number, and we hold no price or lead-time information on it. The CRCW sheet states AEC-Q200 qualification, Walsin’s MR sheet says compliant, and the two words are not the same claim; ask for the qualification report for the exact part number. Venatech makes no qualification claim of its own.

We hold no ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 certificate. Our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We give no legal, customs or compliance advice; confirm with your compliance team.

How Venatech helps

Paste your CRCW number into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts, and read the Walsin candidates with each field marked match or mismatch. Load a whole BOM, up to 500 part numbers or an Excel or CSV file, to run every line at once. The ready-stock list is a Hong Kong snapshot dated 23 September 2026, and our chip resistor range lists the families.

Worked example from our own export: the 562 ohm brief above returned 24 rows and 23 single resistors, and the shelf covers none of them, while the 0603 general purpose line has 78 shelf part numbers across its 799 plus or minus 1% rows at other values. Walsin is the only line we are authorised for; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply. We serve from Hong Kong in small lots, cross-reference your lines on request, and a quote is requested through the site.

The short version

For a Malaysian buyer holding a Vishay CRCW number, all six Vishay fields map to a Walsin number, but power does not map cleanly at 0402, 0603 and 0805: WR sits at the standard figure and MR at the headline. A 0.125 W commercial 0603 brief points to the High Power line.

Send us one CRCW line from your BOM, or paste it into the cross-reference tool, and we will return the Walsin candidates with power, grade and packaging differences stated. Qualification stays with you; which CRCW size do you run most?

Frequently asked questions

How do I read a Vishay CRCW part number?

CRCW0603562RFKEA is the model, size 0603, resistance 562 ohm, tolerance F (plus or minus 1%), temperature coefficient K (plus or minus 100 ppm per kelvin) and packaging EA, as in Vishay’s datasheet 20035 of 14 April 2026. Confirm against the datasheet.

Does the Walsin general purpose resistor match a CRCW0603 power rating?

At the CRCW headline of 0.125 W, no: the WR06 series is rated 1/10 W, which equals Vishay’s standard figure. WF06P5620FTL is rated 1/8 W in a commercial High Power series. Confirm both datasheets, and qualify in your own circuit.

At which sizes does Walsin WR power differ from the Vishay headline?

Three of eight: 0402, 0603 and 0805, where WR is rated 1/16, 1/10 and 1/8 W and Vishay prints 0.10, 0.125 and 0.25 W. At 1206, 1210, 1218, 2010 and 2512 the ratings agree. The automotive MR series matches the headline at the three sizes.

How many Walsin parts answer a 562 ohm, 1%, 0603, 100 ppm brief?

Twenty-three single resistors in 14 series, plus one four-element array: 12 at 1/10 W, 7 at 1/8 W, 3 at 1/3 W and 1 at 1/4 W. None is on our stock list as at 23 September 2026. Ask us for the current position.

Do you say anything about Vishay availability or lead times?

No. We hold no Vishay affected-part list and make no statement about any Vishay part number. We hold no price or lead-time guarantee on any part. The qualification decision, and any approval of a substitute, stay with you and your compliance team.
