Energy and Construction Electronics for Brunei from Hong Kong: Brunei’s Non-Oil-and-Gas Economy Fell 3.0 Percent in Q1 2026, and a Yageo RC2512FK-0710KL Line Finds 9 Walsin 2512 Rows at the Same 1 W, None on Our Shelf

A Yageo RC2512FK-0710KL line in Brunei, a 10 kilohm, plus or minus 1 percent, 100 ppm chip resistor in 2512 rated 1 W, has 9 Walsin rows at 1 W among 17 in the export. Six are rated 2 W and two 3 W. None of the 17 is on our Hong Kong shelf as at 23 September 2026.

Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin Technology (Walsin) chip resistor export export: every 2512 row with 10 kilohm and plus or minus 1 percent tolerance, 17 in all. This post is for a buyer or design engineer at a Bruneian energy-services, construction-systems or repair business whose bill of materials names a Yageo part and who wants a Walsin candidate with every difference stated. We read Yageo’s own specification page for the number on 2 November 2026 and compared it with the Walsin export field by field. Every Walsin part number below is real and every count is ours.

What did Brunei’s statistics department report, and what does it not say?

Brunei’s GDP grew 0.3 percent in the first quarter of 2026, with oil and gas up 4.1 percent, non-oil-and-gas down 3.0 percent and construction down 8.0 percent, according to the Department of Economic Planning and Statistics (DEPS) Q1 2026 media release. The release is about national output, not about resistors, electronics or any named company, and we draw no conclusion about demand for any component. The file we read carries no release date; its web path places it in July 2026. We have no relationship with DEPS.

What does Yageo’s RC2512FK-0710KL actually specify?

Yageo’s specification page for RC2512FK-0710KL lists 10 kilohm, plus or minus 1 percent, 100 ppm per degree C, 1 W at 70 degrees C, 200 V maximum working voltage, EIA 2512 (6.35 by 3.1 mm), thickness 0.55 mm. The page gives the packaging as tape and reel on a 178 mm reel without a piece count, so we make no reel comparison for this line. The number reads as RC for the chip-resistor family, 2512 for the case, F for plus or minus 1 percent, K for 100 ppm, and 10KL as the value. We hold no Yageo catalogue beyond that page and make no statement about any Yageo part’s status. Source: Yageo specification page for RC2512FK-0710KL, fetched 2 November 2026.

Which Walsin rows match it on power?

Nine of the 17 Walsin rows are rated 1 W with a temperature coefficient of 100 ppm or better, 6 are rated 2 W and 2 are rated 3 W, and none of the 17 is on the Hong Kong list dated 23 September 2026. The 9 rows at 1 W are 6 general purpose (WR, MR and SR prefixes, including WR25X1002FTL) and 3 High Voltage (WK and WF25V), a different series. Maximum working voltage is printed on the Yageo page (200 V) but is not a column in our export, so we state no Walsin voltage; read the General Purpose approval sheet (ASC_WR_V24, September 2016) before you swap. MR and SR carry automotive labels in the export, a different grade class from a commercial RC part, which we have not compared.

What does each row change against the 1 W line?

Series and rated power are the fields that move. Of the 7 Walsin rows shown, four match all compared fields, and three are higher in rated power.

Walsin part Series Size, value, tolerance, power Match / mismatch against the Yageo line On the 23 September 2026 list Your incumbent
WR25X1002FTL General Purpose 2512, 10000 ohm, plus or minus 1%, 1W Match on size, value, tolerance, TCR, power No
SR25X1002FTL General Purpose (automotive label, anti-sulfuration) 2512, 10000 ohm, plus or minus 1%, 1W Match on size, value, tolerance, TCR, power No
WK25V1002FTL High Voltage 2512, 10000 ohm, plus or minus 1%, 1W Match on size, value, tolerance, TCR, power No
WF25V1002FTL High Voltage 2512, 10000 ohm, plus or minus 1%, 1W Match on size, value, tolerance, TCR, power No
WF25P1002FTL High Power 2512, 10000 ohm, plus or minus 1%, 2W Match on size, value, tolerance, TCR; mismatch on rated power higher (2W against 1.0 W) No
WF25A1002FZL High Power 2512, 10000 ohm, plus or minus 1%, 3W Match on size, value, tolerance, TCR; mismatch on rated power higher (3W against 1.0 W) No
MF25E1002FTL Anti-Surge (automotive label) 2512, 10000 ohm, plus or minus 1%, 2W Match on size, value, tolerance, TCR; mismatch on rated power higher (2W against 1.0 W) No

Higher power is not automatically a better swap: a 2 W or 3 W row, or an anti-surge row, is a different series with its own approval sheet, so it is a candidate for review, not a substitution. The shelf is a dated snapshot, never live stock, and none of these rows is on it.

What will we not tell you about Brunei?

Anything about Brunei customs, duties, certification or procurement rules. We hold no office, entity or stock in Brunei; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We state no duty rate, transit time or carrier, and we give no legal or customs advice; confirm with your compliance team.

Why buyers in Brunei choose Venatech

Bruneian buyers get a candidate and its differences in one reply. Venatech is an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong; confirm that with Walsin. VenaMatch decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts, and for this line it found nine Walsin rows at the same 1 W and eight that differ in power, each with the changed field named. Small lots are welcome, the service is Hong Kong-based, and the ready-stock list is dated 23 September 2026. None of the 17 rows is on that list, and we say so plainly rather than imply stock; a quote request tells you what can be sourced. We also tell you what we do not hold: 84.2 percent of the 359,135 Walsin part numbers in our exports have no datasheet on file, and we say so instead of guessing. Ask for any of the 28 datasheets we hold (451 pages) and it comes by email.

How Venatech helps

Paste the incumbent number into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts and lists Walsin candidates with match and mismatch fields, or upload the list to the BOM checker, up to 500 part numbers. The Hong Kong ready-stock list is a dated snapshot, 23 September 2026, never live-synced. Walsin is the only line we are authorised for; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply. We work from Hong Kong, in small lots, and you can request a quote through the site. We offer lot and date-code traceability and a certificate of conformity per shipment on request. We hold neither ISO 9001 nor IATF 16949. Worked example from our exports: paste RC2512FK-0710KL and VenaMatch returns the 1 W Walsin rows as candidates with the 2 W and 3 W rows listed beneath them. The chip resistor range lists the families, our post on chip resistor power rating by case size and WR and MR series compared field by field cover the neighbouring fields. Qualification stays with you.

The short version

One Yageo line, nine Walsin rows at the same 1 W, six at 2 W and two at 3 W. None of the 17 is on the 23 September 2026 list.

Send us one 2512 resistor line from your bill of materials and we will return the Walsin rows with every difference stated. Does your circuit need the full 1 W, or does it dissipate well under that?

What did Brunei report in the source you cite?

The DEPS Q1 2026 media release reports GDP up 0.3 percent, oil and gas up 4.1 percent, non-oil-and-gas down 3.0 percent and construction down 8.0 percent. The file carries no release date. It does not mention resistors, and we draw no conclusion about any company.

Which Walsin part crosses to Yageo RC2512FK-0710KL?

Nine Walsin rows match on size, value, tolerance, temperature coefficient and 1 W rating, led by WR25X1002FTL. Confirm voltage and grade on the datasheets and qualify the swap in your own circuit.

Are any of the Walsin rows on your shelf?

No. None of the 17 Walsin 2512, 10 kilohm, plus or minus 1 percent rows is on the Hong Kong list dated 23 September 2026. The list is a snapshot, not live. Request a quote through the site to ask what can be sourced.

What if my circuit dissipates more than 1 W?

Six Walsin rows are rated 2 W and two 3 W, for example WF25P1002FTL. They are higher in rated power than the Yageo line, are a different series, and none is on the shelf. Whether they suit depends on your own calculation.

Does Walsin match the 200 V rating?

Our export has no voltage column, so we do not state a Walsin working voltage for these rows. Read it on the approval sheet and compare it with the 200 V on Yageo’s page before any swap.

Do you ship to Brunei or state its import rules?

We ship from Hong Kong and state no duty, customs, certification or transit information for Brunei. We hold no office or stock there and give no legal or customs advice; confirm with your compliance team.
