Mining and oil electronics for Ecuador need high-voltage ceramic capacitors in big cases, and the range is narrower than it looks. Of 491 big-case capacitors from Walsin Technology (Walsin), 190 are rated 2 kV or more; the X7R ones stop at 56 nF, the NP0 ones at 10 nF, and none is on our shelf.
Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, wrote this from the Walsin MLCC export (24,026 rows, 23,601 distinct part numbers) and our stock list as at 23 September 2026. It is for a design or sourcing engineer at an Ecuadorian maker of mining, oil-field or heavy-industry electronics who is crossing a high-voltage capacitor in a 1825, 2220 or 2225 case. Every part number is real and every count is ours. The trade figures name their source and the day we fetched it, 2 November 2026.
What did Ecuador’s exports look like in the first half of 2026, and why does it matter to a component buyer?
Record exports, led by commodities that run on heavy electrical plant. According to El Comercio, Ecuador exported a record 19,571 million US dollars in the first half of 2026, up 4 percent, of which non-oil exports were 14,651 million, mining products 2,634 million and oil 4,920 million, up 14 percent.
Those are the newspaper’s figures, not ours. We draw one conclusion, and it is ours: mining and oil sites run drives, transformers and high-voltage power supplies, and the capacitors in those boards sit in the biggest ceramic cases. We have no relationship with any Ecuadorian mining or oil company and say nothing about what any of them buys.
How many Walsin big-case capacitors are rated 2 kV or more, and how high do they go in capacitance?
190 of 491, and the ceiling is low. We parsed the Walsin MLCC export’s Big sizes series (1825, 2220 and 2225) and counted 491 distinct part numbers: 190 are rated 2000 V or more, split 64 in 1825, 69 in 2220 and 57 in 2225. Among those 190, X7R tops out at 56 nF and NP0 at 10 nF.
We have not seen this counted anywhere. The reading for a buyer is practical: a brief that wants 100 nF at 2 kV in 2220 has no Walsin answer in this series, because the largest X7R value at 2 kV or more is 56 nF. The thickness column says why the cases are tall: the 190 parts list T as 2.00, 2.50, 2.80 or 1.60 mm nominal, with plus or minus 0.20 to 0.30 mm. Our post on high-Q and low-ESR MLCC shows the other end of the range, and how to cross-reference an MLCC explains the fields.
Which Walsin parts cross a 2220 X7R 100 nF 1000 V brief, and what differs?
One matches on every export field and five differ. We filtered the export for 2220, X7R and 100 nF and found 10 part numbers across six voltages; exactly one is rated 1000 V, 2220B104K102, and it is the only one of the 10 that sits on our shelf. The reader’s incumbent goes in the last column.

A match in the table is a match on the export fields, no more. Confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit.
What does the Hong Kong shelf hold in big-case capacitors?
Two part numbers out of 491. As at 23 September 2026 our stock list holds 2220B104K102 (100 nF, 1000 V) and 2220B474K101 (470 nF, 100 V) from the Big sizes series; none of the 190 parts rated 2 kV or more is on it.
That is a count of part numbers, not pieces, and the ready stock list is a dated snapshot, never live-synced. For the 2 kV to 4 kV range the honest route is a quote request: send the incumbent and the voltage and we will show what Walsin lists. The MLCC range lists the families.
What will we not tell you about mining and oil-sector electronics?
Anything about your site, your supply voltage or hazardous-area approvals. Of the 28 Walsin datasheets we hold, 26 cover MLCC series, and none names a mining or oil application, so every count here is catalogue coverage, not suitability. We hold no ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 certificate.
We make no claim that any part suits an explosive-atmosphere, mining or oil-field product. We give no legal, customs or conformity advice; confirm with your compliance team. Qualification stays with you.
Why do buyers in Ecuador choose Venatech?
Because the range behind one request is wide and we show all of it. Our exports cover eight Walsin product lines and 359,135 distinct part numbers, and the MLCC file alone holds 16 series, so an Ecuadorian buyer crossing a capacitor, a resistor and an inductor on one board can ask one distributor.
We are an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, and we write the mismatch as plainly as the match, as the table above does. We work in small lots, we serve from Hong Kong, and we send datasheets on request: 28 held, 451 pages. Confirm our authorisation with Walsin; it takes one email.
How can Venatech help an Ecuadorian maker of mining or oil-sector electronics?
How Venatech helps starts with a free paste box. The cross-reference tool decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts and shows the Walsin candidates with each field marked match or mismatch. Load a whole BOM, up to 500 part numbers or an Excel or CSV file. The ready-stock list is a Hong Kong snapshot dated 23 September 2026, not live.
Worked example from our own export: the 2220 X7R 100 nF 1000 V brief returned 10 part numbers across six voltages, one matching and on the shelf, while no 2 kV part exceeds 56 nF. Walsin is the only line we are authorised for; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply. We serve from Hong Kong in small lots, we help cross-reference, and you request a quote through the site. We hold 28 Walsin datasheets, 451 pages, and send them on request. We hold no office, entity or stock in Ecuador; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We give no legal, customs or conformity advice; confirm with your compliance team. Qualification stays with you.
The short version
For an Ecuadorian maker of mining or oil-sector electronics, a 2 kV capacitor brief in a big case meets a hard ceiling: 190 of 491 Walsin parts qualify on voltage, and none exceeds 56 nF. A 2220 X7R 100 nF brief at 1000 V has one exact Walsin part, and it is on the shelf.
Send us one high-voltage capacitor line from your BOM with its case, voltage and capacitance, and we will return the Walsin parts with every difference stated. If your incumbent is a 2 kV, 100 nF part in 2220, do you know the series that carries it?
