For Panama’s marine and logistics electronics buyers, the Walsin convex chip resistor network family is 98 part numbers: a jumper plus exactly the 97 E24 values from 10 ohm to 100 kilohm at plus or minus 5 percent. Every one of the 98 part numbers contains a space, which breaks a BOM paste, and none is on our shelf.
Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin Technology (Walsin) chip resistor parametric exports: 137 files, 234,815 rows and 234,401 distinct part numbers, of which the convex network file is 98. This post is for a purchasing or design engineer at a Panama-based supplier or integrator of marine, port or logistics electronics who is crossing a multi-element resistor network and wants to see what Walsin lists and what it does not. Every part number is real, every count is ours, and the development it cites names its source and the day we fetched it (2 November 2026).
What did the Panama Canal report for fiscal year 2026?
More ships and more cargo. The Panama Canal Authority release of 21 October 2026, reported by SupplyChainBrain on 22 October 2026, puts fiscal year 2026 (1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026) at 13,951 transits, up 4.1 percent from 13,404, with tonnage up 6.5 percent and the Neopanamax locks handling 52 percent of the total.
The release says nothing about electronic components, and we draw no conclusion about any Panamanian company. We have no relationship with the Authority or the outlet.
| Point | What the source says | Source date | Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Transits, fiscal year 2026 | 13,951, up 4.1 percent from 13,404 | SupplyChainBrain, 22 October 2026 | Match for context only |
| Tonnage | Up 6.5 percent year on year | SupplyChainBrain, 22 October 2026 | Match for context only |
| Neopanamax share | 52 percent of the total | SupplyChainBrain, 22 October 2026 | Match for context only |

What exactly is in Walsin’s convex resistor network family?
A small, regular family. We read the convex network file (Thick_Film_Chip_Resistor_Network_Convex_Type__1of1.xlsx) and counted 98 rows: one zero-ohm jumper and 97 resistive values, and the 97 are exactly the E24 series from 10 ohm to 100 kilohm, four decades. Every resistive row is plus or minus 5 percent, 1/16 W per element and 200 ppm per degree Celsius at most, in a 1206 (3216) outline.
All 98 part numbers contain a space, as in WT04X103 JTL, and none of the 98 is on the 23 September 2026 shelf. The 97 values also exist as single 1206 plus or minus 5 percent general purpose resistors (WR12X103 JTL and its siblings), but at 1/4 W instead of 1/16 W per element. We have not seen the family counted this way anywhere.
| Property | Walsin convex network | Single WR12 at 1206, 5% | Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rows | 98 | 1,716 | Mismatch: about 17 times fewer |
| Distinct resistance values | 97 plus jumper | 169 | Mismatch: E24 only against a wider ladder |
| Tolerance | plus or minus 5% only | 5% rows | Match for this cut |
| Rated power | 1/16 W | 1/4 W | Mismatch: 4 times lower per element |
| Part number | contains a space, 98 of 98 | contains a space on its 5% parts, for example WR12X103 JTL |
Mismatch if your BOM tool cannot take spaces |
Which worked part numbers show how to cross a network?
Take a 10 kilohm, plus or minus 5 percent line. WT04X103 JTL is the Walsin network candidate at 1/16 W per element; WR12X103 JTL is a single 1206 resistor at 1/4 W. They answer different questions, and the export does not state how many elements the network holds, its pin count or its internal connection, so those are the first things to confirm.
| Your requirement | Walsin candidate | Match / mismatch | On the 23 September 2026 shelf | Your incumbent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 kilohm network, 5%, 1206 outline | WT04X103 JTL |
Match on value, tolerance, outline; element count unconfirmed | No | |
| 4.7 kilohm network, 5% | WT04X472 JTL |
Match on value, tolerance, outline; element count unconfirmed | No | |
| 100 kilohm network, 5% | WT04X104 JTL |
Match on value, tolerance, outline | No | |
| 10 ohm network, 5% | WT04X100 JTL |
Match on value, tolerance, outline | No | |
| Zero-ohm link | WT04X000 PTL |
Match on jumper; mismatch on tolerance field, which reads Jumper | No | |
| Single 10 kilohm resistor, 5%, 1206 | WR12X103 JTL |
Match on value, tolerance, size; mismatch: a single element, not a network | No | |
| Array family part, 10 ohm, 0402 | WA04Y10R0FTL |
Mismatch: 1% array family, different outline | No |
What will we not tell you about Panama?
Anything about Panamanian customs, Colón Free Zone rules, certification or tax. We hold 0 offices, 0 entities and 0 stock in Panama; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We state no duty, transit time, carrier or conformity requirement, and we give no legal or customs advice; confirm with your compliance team.
Why buyers in Panama choose Venatech
Panama’s marine, port and logistics electronics buyers order small lots against long-lived designs, and 1 clear list of what Walsin does and does not publish for a network saves a round of enquiries.
- The convex network family is 98 part numbers and we tell you that it is exactly E24 at plus or minus 5 percent, so you know in one line whether your value exists.
- We flag that all 98 part numbers contain a space, so your BOM tool does not drop them silently, and that the element count is not in the export.
- Venatech Limited is an authorised Walsin Technology distributor in Hong Kong; confirm it with Walsin.
- We work from Hong Kong and welcome small lots, so a prototype run or a first production lot is a normal enquiry.
- VenaMatch, our free cross-reference tool, decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers and covers 800,000+ crossable parts, and it returns Walsin candidates with match and mismatch fields.
- We show the mismatches as well as the matches, because a cross that hides a difference is a scrapped board. That honesty is the product.
- The Hong Kong ready-stock list is a dated snapshot (23 September 2026), never live, so you see exactly what we claim and when.
- We hold 28 Walsin datasheets (26 MLCC, 2 chip resistor, 451 pages) and send the one covering your part number on request.
- We offer lot and date-code traceability, a certificate of conformity per shipment on request, and original sealed Walsin packaging.
- Our safety-capacitor documentation carries named third-party numbers you can check: UL file E182369 and TUV certificates R50381780 and R50195920.
We hold neither ISO 9001 nor IATF 16949, and we say so up front; qualification stays with you.
How Venatech helps
Paste your incumbent number into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts and lists Walsin candidates with match and mismatch fields, or upload the list to the BOM checker, up to 500 part numbers. The Hong Kong ready-stock list is a dated snapshot, 23 September 2026, never live-synced. Walsin is the only line we are authorised for; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply. We work from Hong Kong, in small lots, and you can request a quote through the site. Worked example from our exports: for a 10 kilohm, plus or minus 5 percent line we show WT04X103 JTL (network) and WR12X103 JTL (single resistor) side by side with the power and element differences stated. See also chip resistor arrays explained, why Walsin part numbers do not paste into your BOM and the chip resistor range page. Qualification stays with you.
The short version
Walsin’s convex network family is 98 parts: a jumper and the 97 E24 values at plus or minus 5 percent, all with a space in the part number, and none on the shelf.
Send us one resistor network line from your bill of materials and we will return the Walsin candidates with every difference stated. Do you know the element count your incumbent uses?

Frequently asked questions
What did the Panama Canal report for fiscal year 2026?
A Panama Canal Authority release of 21 October 2026, reported by SupplyChainBrain on 22 October 2026, puts fiscal year 2026 at 13,951 transits, up 4.1 percent, with tonnage up 6.5 percent. It does not mention electronic components.
How many Walsin convex resistor networks are there?
98 part numbers: one zero-ohm jumper and 97 resistive values. We counted them from the export. The 97 values are exactly the E24 series from 10 ohm to 100 kilohm, all plus or minus 5 percent at 1/16 W per element.
Why will a Walsin network part number not paste into my BOM?
All 98 contain a space, for example WT04X103 JTL. Many BOM tools trim or split on spaces. Our BOM checker and VenaMatch accept the number as written, and we flag any case where the space matters.
Does the Walsin network export say how many elements it has?
No. The export gives value, tolerance, TCR, power and a 1206 outline, but not element count, pin count or internal connection. We hold no datasheet for the family, so confirm those with Walsin.
Is any Walsin convex network on your shelf?
As at 23 September 2026 none of the 98 is on our Hong Kong ready-stock snapshot. The list is a snapshot, not live. Ask us and we will tell you what can be ordered and what we do not know.
Do you ship to Panama or state its import rules?
We ship from Hong Kong and state no duty, customs, certification or transit information for Panama or the Colón Free Zone. We hold no office or stock there and give no legal or customs advice; confirm with your compliance team.
