Sourcing Passive Components for Lithuania from Hong Kong: Laser Makers Export 90 to 95 Percent, and 19 of 22 Stocked High-Q Capacitor Lines Share Their Five Fields With Two Other Walsin Series

Passive components for Lithuania’s laser and electronics makers start with a trap in the RF capacitor family. Walsin lists the same five fields (size, dielectric, value, tolerance, voltage) in three series, and 19 of our 22 stocked high-Q lines have a twin in both of the others. The published Q limit differs in only one of the three sheets.

Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, wrote this for a buyer or design engineer in Lithuania who builds laser sources, photonic instruments or contract-manufactured boards. We read Walsin Technology (Walsin) 00_ALL_MLCC_parts_combined.xlsx (24,026 rows), three Walsin approval sheets and our Hong Kong stock snapshot dated 23 September 2026. Every part number below is real and every count is ours. The Lithuanian figures are attributed to their publishers, with the day we fetched them.

What do Lithuanian laser makers and EMS buyers need from a Hong Kong distributor?

Breadth of values in small quantities, with the right series chosen first time. A laser sector that exports 90 to 95 percent of its output ships to buyers who test every board, so the series on the bill of materials must be the one the sheet describes. The Go Vilnius page of 23 March 2026 describes more than 60 companies and over 2,000 specialists, annual growth of around 16 percent, and exports of roughly 90 to 95 percent of production.

Our view, not the publisher’s: a maker with that profile buys many values in small lots, and the expensive error is the wrong series, not the wrong quantity. On the logistics side, the port of Klaipėda handled 1,308,687 TEU in 2025, 22 percent above the 2024 figure of 1,068,771, according to Hellenic Shipping News on 20 January 2026. We say nothing about how any shipment of ours would travel. We hold no office, entity or stock in Lithuania. Our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, and Chengdu is in preparation.

Does the Walsin high-Q sheet promise a higher Q than the general-purpose NP0 sheet?

No. The HH sheet and the General Purpose sheet print the same limit: for NP0, Q of at least 1,000 at 30 pF and above, and at least 400 plus 20 times the value in picofarads below 30 pF, measured at 1 MHz. We read both sheets (10_High_Q_Low_ESR_HH.pdf, 11 pages, September 2026, and 01_General_Purpose.pdf, 21 pages, September 2026) and compared the two Q lines: they match apart from one space (we read the value C in picofarads).

The sheets differ elsewhere. The HH sheet draws ESR and Q against frequency for 0201, 0402, 0603 and 0805 in section 9, and we searched the General Purpose sheet for ESR and found no mention. So the HH advantage is a set of curves, not a number in the requirements table. The only higher minimum we found is in the Microwave RF sheet (06_Microwave_RF.pdf, 19 pages, April 2026): at least 800 plus 20 times the value below 30 pF and at least 1,400 at 30 pF and above, for 0603, 0805, 0505, 1111 and 0402 at 100 V to 200 V. We have not seen this three-sheet comparison written anywhere.

Which Walsin series share the same five fields?

Three. We parsed all 24,026 rows, removed duplicates to reach 23,601 distinct part numbers, and matched the 1,706 HH part numbers against General Purpose NP0 and against the Microwave RF series on size, dielectric, capacitance, tolerance and rated voltage. 1,301 have a General Purpose NP0 twin, 1,010 have an RF twin, and 859 have both. For the 22 stocked HH lines the figures are 20, 21 and 19.

Of the 22 stocked HH lines, 9 sit at 0603 or 0805, or at 0402 with 100 V or more, the band in which the RF sheet prints its higher Q minimum. The other 13 sit in the base tier shared by all three sheets. Use the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts, to see the three series for your own incumbent, and read our note on high-Q and low-ESR MLCC for RF for the method.

Which twins were on the Hong Kong shelf on 23 September 2026?

Few. Of the 22 stocked HH lines, 2 of the 20 General Purpose twins were on the shelf (0603N181J500 and 0201N4R7C500), and 3 of the 21 RF twins were (RF15N2R4B500, RF15N2R4C500 and RF03N0R4B500). We joined every twin to our 1,125-line snapshot by catalogue code. The 66 stocked RF-series lines and the 22 HH lines are different part numbers, so a shelf of one is not a shelf of the others.

A snapshot is not a promise, and quantities move. It proves a candidate exists in Hong Kong on a date, so you can order samples while you check the sheets. Check Hong Kong ready stock for the current view and send the part for a dated answer. The orderable code carries a packaging suffix; the CT suffix post explains it. For a whole board, the BOM checker takes up to 500 part numbers or an Excel or CSV file. Browse the Walsin MLCC range.

What do we not state about shipping to Lithuania?

Anything operational. We state no duty, customs procedure, transit time, freight cost or carrier, and the Klaipėda figures above describe a port, not a route we run. Your forwarder and compliance team confirm the import side. We supply parts, lot and date-code records and, on request, a certificate of conformity with each shipment, in original sealed Walsin packaging.

We also state what we lack. We hold 28 Walsin datasheets, 451 pages, and eighteen document types appear nowhere in them, among them REACH, IATF 16949 and a declaration of conformity. Those are not in the documents we hold. Venatech holds no ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 claim. UL file E182369 can be checked in UL’s public database. Confirm against both datasheets, and qualify in your own circuit.

The short version

Walsin’s HH, General Purpose NP0 and Microwave RF series share five exported fields on 19 of our 22 stocked high-Q lines, and the HH and General Purpose sheets print the same Q limit. Only the RF sheet prints a higher one, and only at 0603, 0805 and 0402 from 100 V. Two General Purpose twins and three RF twins were on the Hong Kong shelf on 23 September 2026.

Send us one high-Q line from your laser, instrument or EMS BOM and we will return the Walsin candidates in all three series with every difference stated. Qualification stays with you. Which sheet did your design review actually read: the series you ordered, or the one you meant?

Frequently asked questions

Which Walsin capacitor series suit laser and photonic boards in Lithuania?

Three series list the same five fields: High Q and Low ESR (HH), General Purpose NP0 and Microwave RF. 19 of our 22 stocked HH lines have a twin in both of the others. Choose by the sheet’s published Q and ESR data, not by the value.

Is a Walsin HH capacitor specified at a higher Q than a General Purpose NP0 part?

Not in the requirements table. The HH and General Purpose sheets both print Q of at least 1,000 at 30 pF and above, and at least 400 plus 20 times the value below 30 pF. The HH sheet adds ESR and Q curves against frequency.

Which sheet prints a higher Q limit?

The Microwave RF sheet, dated April 2026, prints at least 800 plus 20 times the value below 30 pF and at least 1,400 at 30 pF and above, for 0603, 0805, 0505, 1111 and 0402 at 100 V to 200 V. Ask Walsin for data on your exact part.

Do you have stock or an office in Lithuania?

No. Our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We state no duty, customs procedure or transit time. Your forwarder and compliance team confirm the import side; we supply parts, lot and date-code records and, on request, a certificate of conformity.

How many of the twins were on the Hong Kong shelf?

On 23 September 2026, 2 of the 20 General Purpose twins and 3 of the 21 RF twins of our 22 stocked HH lines were on the shelf. A snapshot is not a promise; send the part for a dated answer.

Is a cross-reference result an approved replacement?

No. It is a specification match against Walsin’s published catalogue, offered as a candidate for evaluation. Confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit before production. Venatech makes no approval claim on your behalf.
