Sourcing Passive Components for Bulgaria’s EMS and Industrial Makers from Hong Kong: 172 of 176 Stocked 0402 and 0603 Resistor Lines Have an Array Twin, and 95 of Them Lose the 100 ppm Ceiling

Passive components for Bulgaria’s EMS and industrial makers, sourced from Hong Kong, can cut placements if a resistor array fits. Matching our 23 September 2026 stock list to Walsin’s export, 172 of 176 stocked 0402 and 0603 general purpose resistor lines have an array twin on size text, value, tolerance and power. For 95 of the 172, no array twin keeps that ceiling.

Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin Technology (Walsin) chip resistor parametric exports: 137 files, 234,815 rows, 234,401 distinct part numbers. This post is for a purchasing or process engineer at a Bulgarian EMS plant, or at an industrial-controls maker, who wants to know whether a row of identical pull-up or termination resistors could become one array. Every part number below is real and every count is ours. The development statement names its source, its date and the day we fetched it, 23 October 2026.

What did Bulgaria’s electrical industry report for 2025?

A sector that still exports, and a slowdown. BTA, the Bulgarian news agency, reported on 3 April 2026 that Bulgaria’s electrical industry stayed a leading exporter in 2025, that its exports had fallen over the past two years, and that 71 percent of the member companies’ exports of the industry association BASEL went to EU countries, with Germany first at 23 percent. The association’s executive director linked the drop partly to weaker EU car demand, saying automotive production in Bulgaria fell by about 20 percent.

The article also gives turnover shares by segment without attributing them to a speaker: electrical automotive parts 31 percent, electricity distribution equipment 16 percent and household electrical appliances 9.3 percent. It names no component, shortage or supplier, and we draw no conclusion about which parts any Bulgarian company buys. We have no relationship with BTA or BASEL.

How many stocked 0402 and 0603 resistor lines have an array twin?

172 of 176. We joined our 23 September 2026 stock list (1,125 part numbers) to the chip resistor export: 250 stocked resistor lines have a row, 234 are general purpose thick film, and 176 of those are 0402 or 0603. A twin shares the export’s size text, resistance, tolerance and rated power. 172 of the 176 have one or more in Walsin’s non-automotive thick film arrays, 542 array part numbers in all, and 0 of those 542 are on the shelf. We have not seen this counted anywhere.

The four without are WR04W1504FTL, WR04W2704FTL, WR04W3304FTL and WR06W2R70FTL: three megohm values at 0402 and one low-ohm value at 0603. Every one of the 172 has a four-element convex twin; 121 also have a two-element one and 77 a four-element concave one.

Group Stocked lines With an array twin Match / mismatch
0402, 1/16 W 78 75 Match on size text, value, tolerance, power; mismatch on element count and TCR
0603, 1/10 W 98 97 Match on size text, value, tolerance, power; mismatch on element count and TCR
Four-element convex array 176 172 Match on four fields; mismatch on element count
Two-element convex array 176 121 Match on four fields; mismatch on element count
Four-element concave array 176 77 Match on four fields; mismatch on terminal layout
The four without a twin 4 0 Mismatch: no array row at the value

Why do 95 of the 172 lines lose the 100 ppm ceiling?

Because most array rows are written looser. We parsed all 4,366 rows of the six array configurations: the discrete general purpose lines carry a ceiling of 100 ppm per degree Celsius, but only 77 of the 172 lines have an array twin at 100 ppm, all in one four-element convex 0603 series. For the other 95, every array twin is written at 200 ppm, the 0402 four-element concave series at 300 ppm, and the two jumper lines carry a dash.

The export’s Size column reads 0402(1005) or 0603(1608) for an array exactly as for a single resistor, so a size filter cannot separate them; our post on how the size column hides the count shows the effect. The rated power is the same figure as the discrete part. Whether it is per element or per package is not stated in the export.

Which worked part numbers show the twins, and what differs?

Take the stocked 0603 line WR06X1002FTL: 10,000 ohm, plus or minus 1 percent, 100 ppm, 1/10 W. WA06X1002FTL shares its size text, value, tolerance, power and 100 ppm ceiling in a four-element convex array; WA06Y1002FTL, two elements, goes to 200 ppm. At 0402 the picture is looser: WR04X1003FTL has four array twins and none at 100 ppm. The last column is for your incumbent part.

Walsin part Series as exported Size text, value, tolerance, TCR, power Match / mismatch Your incumbent
WR06X1002FTL General Purpose 0603, 10,000 ohm, 1%, 100 ppm, 1/10 W Reference line, stocked as at 23 September 2026
WA06X1002FTL Array 0603 x 4, convex 0603, 10,000 ohm, 1%, 100 ppm, 1/10 W Match on five fields; mismatch on element count
WA06Y1002FTL Array 0603 x 2, convex Same fields, 200 ppm Match on four fields; mismatch on TCR and element count
WR04X1003FTL General Purpose 0402, 100,000 ohm, 1%, 100 ppm, 1/16 W Reference line, stocked
WA04X1003FTL Array 0402 x 4, convex 0402, 100,000 ohm, 1%, 200 ppm, 1/16 W Match on four fields; mismatch on TCR and element count
WA04T1003FTL Array 0402 x 4, concave Same fields, 300 ppm Match on four fields; mismatch on TCR and terminal layout
WR04X102JTL General Purpose 0402, 1,000 ohm, 5%, 100 ppm, 1/16 W Reference line, stocked
WA04X102JTL Array 0402 x 4, convex 0402, 1,000 ohm, 5%, 200 ppm, 1/16 W Match on four fields; mismatch on TCR and element count
WR04W1504FTL General Purpose 0402, 1,500,000 ohm, 1%, 100 ppm, 1/16 W Reference line, stocked; no array twin

The shelf holds one array line, WA04X300JTL: 30 ohm, 5 percent, 200 ppm, four elements. Its single-resistor counterpart, WR04X300JTL, is not on the shelf. Our note on resistor arrays against discrete parts covers the layout trade-offs.

What do Walsin’s documents say about resistor arrays?

Nothing. We converted all 28 Walsin datasheets we hold, 451 pages, to text and searched them: 0 of the 2 resistor sheets mention an array, and the two sheets are the MR automotive sheet and the WR general purpose sheet, ASC_WR_V24, dated September 2016. We hold no datasheet for any array series, so element-to-element matching, terminal layout drawings and the power rule are not in our documents.

What will we not tell you about Bulgaria?

Anything about Bulgarian or EU industrial, customs or procurement rules. We hold no office, entity or stock in Bulgaria; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We state no duty rate, customs procedure, transit time or carrier, and we give no legal or customs advice; confirm with your compliance team. We make no claim that any Walsin part is approved for any industrial or automotive programme.

How Venatech helps

We start with the cross-reference. Paste a resistor line into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts and lists Walsin candidates with match and mismatch fields, or upload a list to the BOM checker, up to 500 part numbers. The Hong Kong ready-stock list is a dated snapshot, 23 September 2026, never live-synced. Walsin is the only line we are authorised for; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply. We work from Hong Kong, in small lots, and you can request a quote through the site. We offer lot and date-code traceability and a certificate of conformity per shipment on request. We hold neither ISO 9001 nor IATF 16949. The tables above came from our own export; the chip resistor range lists the families, and our guide to chip resistor arrays explains the types. Qualification stays with you.

The short version

For a Bulgarian EMS line, an array is available for 172 of 176 stocked 0402 and 0603 resistor lines, but only 77 keep the 100 ppm ceiling of the single part. 95 drop to 200 or 300 ppm or a dash, 542 array part numbers are in the export, 0 are on the shelf, and we hold no array datasheet.

Send us one resistor line from your bill of materials and we will return the Walsin candidates, single and array, with every difference stated. If four identical resistors sit side by side on your board, is 200 ppm a fair price for one placement?
