Power inductors for Uruguay hide a zero in a numeric column. Of 17 Walsin Technology (Walsin) 2.2 µH inductors in a 2520 (1008) case, 9 print a Q of 0 and rated current runs from 520 mA to 2.5 A; the only stocked 2.2 µH part, WLPH252012M2R2PP, prints Q 0 and a 2.27 A rating.
Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, wrote this from the Walsin inductor export (5,410 part numbers) and our stock list as at 23 September 2026. It is for a design or sourcing engineer at a Uruguayan maker of power supplies, drives or agri-industrial electronics who is crossing a 1008 power inductor. Every part number is real and every count is ours. The trade figures name their source and the day we fetched it, 2 November 2026.
What did Uruguay’s goods exports do in the first half of 2026, and why does it matter to a component buyer?
They edged up, and process industry carries the total. According to Uruguay XXI, goods exports in the first half of 2026 were about 6.6 billion US dollars including free trade zones, up 1 percent; beef was 1,300 million, pulp 1,177 million and dairy 416 million, and June fell 4 percent on lower free-zone exports.
Those are the agency’s figures, not ours. We draw one conclusion, and it is ours: a pulp mill, a dairy plant and a meat processor run on motor drives and switching supplies, and those boards carry power inductors. We have no relationship with any Uruguayan producer and say nothing about what any of them buys.
What does a Q of 0 mean in the Walsin inductor export?
It reads as missing data in a numeric column. We parsed all 5,410 inductor rows and set the 641 ferrite beads aside; of the remaining 4,769 inductors, 441 print a Q Min of 0 and 365 print both Q Min 0 and SRF(min) 0.
We have not seen this counted anywhere. A real inductor does not have a quality factor of zero, so we read the 0 as not stated, and we say so as our reading, not Walsin’s. The consequence is practical: a filter on Q or on self-resonant frequency silently drops these parts, or worse, passes them. The export also prints saturation current on only 146 of the 5,410 rows. Our post on rated current vs saturation current in chip inductors explains why that matters, and multilayer vs wirewound chip inductors covers the construction.
Which Walsin inductors cross a 1008 2.2 µH plus or minus 20 percent brief at 2.3 A, and what differs?
Two of five shown meet the current and none is on the shelf at that rating. We filtered the export for 2520 case, 2.2 µH and found 17 part numbers in 8 series families; 9 print Q 0, rated current runs from 520 mA to 2.5 A, and the shelf part WLPH252012M2R2PP is rated 2.27 A. The reader’s incumbent goes in the last column.
| Walsin part | Fields from the export | On shelf 23 Sep 2026 | Match / mismatch with a 1008 2.2 µH plus or minus 20% brief at 2.3 A or more | Your incumbent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
WLPH252012M2R2PP |
WLPH, 1.2 mm thick, plus or minus 20%, Q Min 0, SRF 0, RDC 85mΩ, rated current 2.27A | Yes | Mismatch: rated current 2.27 A is below 2.3 A; Q and SRF print 0; the one 2.2 µH part on the shelf | |
WLPH252010M2R2PP |
WLPH, 1.0 mm thick, plus or minus 20%, Q Min 0, SRF 0, RDC 99mΩ, rated current 2.3A | No | Match on size, inductance, tolerance and 2.3 A; Q and SRF print 0 | |
WLPH252012M2R2PS |
WLPH(HC), 1.2 mm thick, plus or minus 20%, Q Min 30, SRF 50, RDC 74mΩ, rated current 2.5A | No | Match and higher: 2.5 A; the only WLPH(HC) row here that prints Q 30 and SRF 50 | |
MIP25202R2MBE |
MIP, 1.0 mm thick, plus or minus 20%, Q Min 0, SRF 0, RDC 0.08Ω, rated current 1300mA | No | Mismatch: 1300 mA is well below 2.3 A; Q and SRF print 0 | |
WLFW2520Z0J2R2PB |
WLFW/WFI, 1.83 mm thick, plus or minus 5%, Q Min 34, SRF 150, RDC 1.1Ω, rated current 520mA | No | Mismatch: 520 mA, plus or minus 5 percent, 1.83 mm thick |
A match in the table is a match on the export fields, no more. Confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit.
What does the Hong Kong shelf hold in inductors?
Two part numbers. As at 23 September 2026 our stock list holds WLPH252012M2R2PP (2.2 µH, 2.27 A) and WLPH252012M4R7PP (4.7 µH, 1.61 A), and both print Q Min 0 and SRF(min) 0 in the export.
The inductor export holds 5,410 part numbers and the list holds 2 of them, so most inductor briefs are a quote request. We hold no datasheet for the WLPH family, which is why every inductor claim here is an export reading. The ready stock list is a dated snapshot, never live-synced. The inductor range lists the families.
What will we not tell you about power supplies and drives?
Nothing beyond catalogue coverage: of the 28 Walsin datasheets we hold, 26 cover MLCC series and 2 cover chip resistors, and none names a power-supply application, so every count here says what Walsin lists, not what suits your product. We hold no ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 certificate.
We say nothing about your power-supply or drive design or your conformity route, and we make no claim that any part suits a power-supply product. We give no legal, customs or conformity advice; confirm with your compliance team. Qualification stays with you.
Why do buyers in Uruguay choose Venatech?
Because VenaMatch reads your part number whoever made it. The cross-reference tool decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers and covers 800,000+ crossable parts, so a Uruguayan buyer holding an incumbent number from any of those makers can paste it and see Walsin candidates field by field.
We are an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, we show the mismatch as plainly as the match, we serve small lots and we send datasheets on request: 28 held, 451 pages. Confirm our authorisation with Walsin; it takes one email.
How can Venatech help a Uruguayan maker of power supplies or drives?
How Venatech helps starts with a free paste box. The cross-reference tool decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts and shows the Walsin candidates with each field marked match or mismatch. Load a whole BOM, up to 500 part numbers or an Excel or CSV file. The ready-stock list is a Hong Kong snapshot dated 23 September 2026, not live.
Worked example from our own export: the 1008 2.2 µH brief returned 17 part numbers in 8 families, 9 with a Q of 0 and 1 on the shelf at 2.27 A. Walsin is the only line we are authorised for; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply. We serve from Hong Kong in small lots, we help cross-reference, and you request a quote through the site. We hold 28 Walsin datasheets, 451 pages, and send them on request. We hold no office, entity or stock in Uruguay; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We give no legal, customs or conformity advice; confirm with your compliance team. Qualification stays with you.
The short version
For a Uruguayan maker of power supplies, a 2.2 µH 1008 brief returns 17 Walsin parts in 8 families, and 9 print a Q of 0. The one stocked part is rated 2.27 A, just under a 2.3 A brief. Read the current and read the zero.
Send us one inductor line from your BOM with its case, inductance and rated current, and we will return the Walsin parts with every difference stated. If your incumbent prints a Q, does your filter know what a zero means?
