The MLCC datasheet capacitance and voltage range printed on Walsin sheets 13 to 18 is confirmed by the parts list on 17 of 40 edges. We compared each printed lowest and highest value with the export: 7 are contradicted and 16 cannot be tested, because three of the six series have no export rows.
Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the six approval sheets from Walsin Technology (Walsin) numbered 13 to 18 in our MLCC folder: VT, MG, HT, S2, S2-H and S3, 93 pages in all. This post is the second half of a comparison we started on sheets 1 to 12, published as the summary line, the grid and the export on the first twelve sheets. Every part number below is real and is in the MLCC export, 00_ALL_MLCC_parts_combined.xlsx.
How many of the range edges on Walsin sheets 13 to 18 does the export confirm?
17 of 40. We opened section 6, “General electrical data”, of all six sheets and recorded four edges for each dielectric column: lowest and highest capacitance, lowest and highest voltage. That gives 40 edges across 10 dielectric columns. We then parsed the export rows for the same series: 17 edges agree to the digit, 7 are contradicted, and 16 sit on sheets with no export rows at all.
| Sheet (footer date) | Dielectric | Printed capacitance, section 6 | Export lowest to highest | Printed voltage | Export voltage | Edges that agree | Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MG (Sep. 2026) | NP0 | 0.1 pF to 0.047 uF | 0.1 pF to 47 nF | 10 V to 1000 V | 10 V to 1000 V | 4 of 4 | Match |
| MG | X7R | 100 pF to 47 uF | 1.6 pF to 47 uF | 10 V to 1000 V | 6.3 V to 630 V | 1 of 4 | Mismatch on three edges |
| MG | X5R | 0.068 uF to 10 uF | 68 nF to 10 uF | 6.3 V to 25 V | 6.3 V to 25 V | 4 of 4 | Match |
| HT (Apr. 2026) | X8G | 0.2 pF to 0.015 uF | 1.0 pF to 15 nF | 10 V to 100 V | 50 V to 100 V | 2 of 4 | Mismatch on two edges |
| S2 (Apr. 2026) | NP0 | 3 pF to 2200 pF | 3.0 pF to 680 pF | impulse 5000 V to 6000 V | 5000 V to 6000 V | 3 of 4 | Mismatch on the top capacitance |
| S2 | X7R | 100 pF to 10 nF | 100 pF to 10 nF | impulse 5000 V to 6000 V | 5000 V only | 3 of 4 | Mismatch on the top voltage |
| VT, S2-H, S3 | 4 columns | printed, see below | no rows | printed | no rows | 0 of 16 | Untestable |
The method is repeatable: take the lowest and highest value in each dielectric column of section 6 and compare it with the minimum and maximum of the matching export rows. We have not seen this counted anywhere. The first half of the sheets, by comparison, agreed on 18 of 21 dielectric columns, so the second half is the weaker one, and the reason is not carelessness in one place. It is three different gaps.
Which three sheets cannot be tested against the export at all?
VT, S2-H and S3, and between them they print 16 of the 40 edges. We searched all 24,026 export rows for VT and S3 part-number prefixes and found none, and the S2 export holds 173 rows whose 12-character numbers carry no S2-H termination letter. Without rows there is nothing to compare, and nothing a cross-reference tool can offer.
| Sheet | Series | Printed capacitance | Printed voltage | Export rows | Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 13, Apr. 2026, 21 pages | VT, soft termination, AEC-Q200 and VW80808 | 10 nF to 10 uF, X7R, 0603 to 1210 | 10 V to 100 V | 0 | Untestable; the 35 V code 350 is in its key |
| 17, May 2026, 12 pages | S2-H, safety, AEC-Q200 | 100 pF to 4700 pF, X7R | 250 Vac, impulse 5000 V | 0 | Untestable |
| 18, Apr. 2026, 12 pages | S3, X2 safety | NP0 3 pF to 1000 pF; X7R 150 pF to 0.056 uF | 250 Vac, impulse 2500 V | 0 | Untestable |
The S2-H sheet’s own ordering example reads S2, 55, B, 472, K, 502, then Y for AEC-Q200 with soft termination, then T for the reel. Its first twelve characters are S255B472K502, which is also an S2 export part number. Whether a twelve-character S2 number is an S2 part or the front of an S2-H part is decided by a thirteenth character that the export does not carry. This is the same shape of gap we published for safety voltage in the S2 export, and it is on our request list with Walsin.
Where does the MG sheet print a range its export never reaches?
At the top of the voltage scale. The MG cover reads “6.3V to 3000V”. Section 6 stops at 1000 V for NP0 and X7R together. Page 12 of the sheet prints a 3000 V column for the X7R 1812 size with 16 filled cells, from 270 pF to 4700 pF, and the export holds no MG row above 1000 V. The six MG parts at 1812 are all X7R at 100 V or 250 V.
| Part number | Export row | What the sheet printed | Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|
MG31N102J102 |
NP0, 1206, 1000 pF, 1000 Vdc | Highest voltage in the export | Match with the 1000 V in section 6 |
MG31B103K631 |
X7R, 1206, 10 nF, 630 Vdc | Highest X7R voltage in the export | Mismatch: section 6 prints 1000 V for X7R |
MG15B104K6R3 |
X7R, 0402, 100 nF, 6.3 Vdc | Lowest X7R voltage; the shared 10 V to 1000 V line starts at 10 V | Mismatch |
MG18N1R6B500 |
X7R column, 0603, 1.6 pF, 50 Vdc | Lowest X7R capacitance; its part-number letter is N, the MG key’s NP0 |
Mismatch with the 100 pF floor |
MG32B476K100 |
X7R, 1210, 47 uF, 10 Vdc | Highest X7R capacitance | Match with 47 uF |
The 1.6 pF row is a dielectric-letter defect we have published before, and it alone sets the X7R floor. Remove it and the lowest X7R value is 100 pF, which matches. The voltage edges are not defects. They are range that Walsin prints and the export does not hold: X7R tops out at 630 V on 3 rows, and the 3000 V column has no part behind it.
Where does the HT sheet disagree with its export?
On the dielectric, the low voltages and the low capacitances. The HT sheet prints one dielectric, X8G, and one ordering letter for it. The export holds 102 X8G rows and 26 X8R rows, a dielectric the sheet names only once, in a construction table, and 5 of those 26 sit above the sheet’s 0.015 uF ceiling. The X8G rows run from 1.0 pF to 15 nF at 50 V and 100 V only; the sheet prints 10, 16, 25, 50 and 100 V.
| Part number | Row | Sheet statement | Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|
HT21G1R0B101 |
X8G, 0805, 1.0 pF, 100 Vdc | Lowest X8G value in the export; sheet starts at 0.2 pF on 0402 | Mismatch by 0.8 pF; the 0402 export floor is 2.2 pF, HT15G2R2B500 |
HT32G153J500 |
X8G, 1210, 15 nF, 50 Vdc | Sheet ceiling 0.015 uF | Match |
HT21R473K500 |
X8R, 0805, 47 nF, 50 Vdc | X8R appears only in the construction table, not in section 6, the key or the grid | Mismatch on dielectric and 32 nF above the ceiling |
HT31R104K500 |
X8R, 1206, 100 nF, 50 Vdc | X8R appears only in the construction table, not in section 6, the key or the grid | Mismatch, the highest HT value in the export |
We counted 35 X8G rows at 50 V and 67 at 100 V, and none at 10, 16 or 25 V. The series itself is covered in the HT series at 150 C; this post adds the measurement that the voltage ladder the sheet prints has three rungs the export never uses.
Why does the S2 sheet print 2200 pF when its export stops at 680 pF?
Because the top of the NP0 range sits in a column with no parts. The S2 sheet prints NP0 from 3 pF to 2200 pF, and the export’s NP0 rows stop at 680 pF. We counted 14 NP0 grid cells above 680 pF, and 7 of them are in the 2220 column, where the export has no NP0 row at all; the other 7 sit at 1812 and 2211. The X7R line, 100 pF to 10 nF, matches.
| Part number | Row | Sheet range | Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|
S242N3R0C502 |
NP0, 1808, 3.0 pF, 5000 Vdc | Sheet floor 3 pF | Match |
S252N681K502 |
NP0, 2211, 680 pF, 5000 Vdc | Highest NP0 in the export | Mismatch with 2200 pF |
S242B101K502 |
X7R, 1808, 100 pF, 5000 Vdc | Sheet floor 100 pF | Match |
S242B103K502 |
X7R, 1808, 10 nF, 5000 Vdc | Sheet ceiling 10 nF, but the grid prints 10 nF at 2220 only | Match on range, mismatch on size |
The cell-by-cell version of the S2 comparison, including which grid cells hold a part, is in the S2 grid post.
What should you check before quoting a range line from a Walsin sheet?
Check three things, in this order. Read the dielectric column your part sits in, not the cover. Compare the range with the rows the series actually has, because 7 of the 24 edges we could test were contradicted. Ask for the sheet itself, since we hold 28 datasheets and 451 pages. For VT, S2-H and S3 the range is the sheet’s alone, and that is the safer thing to say out loud.
We will not tell you a part matches because a range line says so. Run the part through the free cross-reference tool, read the differences it states, then check the live shelf on ready stock, a snapshot of 1,125 part numbers as at 23 September 2026, not a live feed. Our full capacitor list is on the MLCC page. For thin film, inductor, varistor, disc, RF and antenna we hold no datasheet, so none of this applies to them.
The short version
On Walsin sheets 13 to 18 we compared 40 printed range edges with the export: 17 agree, 7 are contradicted and 16 cannot be tested because VT, S2-H and S3 have no export rows. MG prints a 3000 V column of 16 cells and its export stops at 1000 V. HT prints one dielectric, X8G, and its export holds 26 rows of another, X8R. S2 prints NP0 to 2200 pF and the export stops at 680 pF. Confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit.
Send us the range line from your specification and the part number it came from, and we will tell you which edge the export can and cannot back. And a question back: when your sheet and your parts list disagree, which one did your last approval cite?

Do the printed ranges on Walsin MLCC sheets 13 to 18 match the parts list?
On 17 of 40 edges. We compared the lowest and highest capacitance and voltage in section 6 of six sheets with the export. Seven edges are contradicted, and 16 cannot be tested because the VT, S2-H and S3 series have no export rows. The MG NP0 and X5R columns match on all four edges.
Which Walsin MLCC series have a datasheet but no parts in the export?
Three of the six sheets 13 to 18: VT, S2-H and S3. We searched all 24,026 export rows and found no VT or S3 part number, and no S2-H termination letter in the 173 S2 rows. Between them these sheets print 16 range edges that nothing in the export can confirm.
Does the Walsin MG series go up to 3000 V?
The MG cover says 6.3 V to 3000 V, and page 12 prints a 3000 V column for X7R at 1812 with 16 cells from 270 pF to 4700 pF. The export holds no MG row above 1000 V, and its highest X7R row is 630 V. Section 6 prints 1000 V as the top voltage.
Why does the HT export contain X8R parts if the sheet lists only X8G?
We do not know, and the sheet does not say. It prints X8G in the title, in section 6, in the grid and in the ordering key, and names X8R once, in a construction table. The export holds 26 X8R rows beside 102 X8G rows, and 5 of the 26 exceed the sheet’s 0.015 uF ceiling. Ask Walsin for the X8R specification before designing one in.
What is the highest NP0 capacitance in the Walsin S2 safety export?
680 pF, on a 2211 part at 5000 Vdc, S252N681K502. The S2 sheet prints NP0 up to 2200 pF. We counted 14 NP0 grid cells above 680 pF, 7 of them in the 2220 column where the export has no NP0 row. The X7R range, 100 pF to 10 nF, matches.
Can I rely on the export instead of the datasheet for range?
Not alone. On the three sheets we could test, 7 of 24 edges were contradicted, and the S2 export labels impulse voltage as rated voltage. We hold 28 Walsin datasheets, 451 pages, and send the one covering your part number on request. Qualify against the sheet, and confirm anything outside it with Walsin.
