Passive components for Serbia from Hong Kong start with a case-size check on the bulk capacitor. We counted the X7R, 10 microfarad, 25 V brief in Walsin Technology (Walsin)’s MLCC export: 16 rows, all at 1206, 1210 or 2220. At 0805 the same value and voltage exists only in X5R, X6S and X7S. One X7R line is on our shelf.
Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, wrote this for a design engineer or buyer in Serbia who is scaling an automotive, industrial or power-electronics board. It is built from the MLCC export (24,026 rows, 23,601 distinct part numbers), our stock list as at 23 September 2026 and two dated public sources. Every part number is real, and every count is ours. We publish no prices.
What did Serbia’s January electronics figures and the Niš expansion change for component buyers?
More demand on the same bills of materials. The Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia reported that exports of computer, electronic and optical products rose from 51.1 to 70.6 million US dollars between January 2025 and January 2026, about 38 percent, while imports rose only from 144.8 to 151.6 million. Electrical machinery exports rose about 10 percent in the same month.
That is one month of one release, Statistical Release ST12 number 64 dated 13 March 2026 and fetched 21 October 2026, so it shows direction and not a trend. A second item points the same way. A report on the Doing Business in Serbia gateway dated 28 July 2026 says Integrated Micro-Electronics, a subsidiary of Ayala Corporation, is starting the second phase of its Niš expansion: about 8,800 square metres of production space, about 350 jobs and about 4,600 square metres of clean room. The first Niš plant opened in 2018 with roughly 33 million euro of investment. The report lists lighting, sensors, battery management, displays, vehicle control and driver assistance among its products, plus industrial, power, communications and medical electronics.
We have no information about which components IMI or any Serbian company uses, and nothing here implies that any buys Walsin parts. The inference is ours: more automotive and power boards in Niš and Novi Sad means more lines that need a bulk capacitor at a rail voltage, and those lines are where case-size assumptions fail.
How does a 25 V, 10 microfarad X7R brief narrow across case sizes?
Sharply. We parsed all 24,026 rows of the Walsin MLCC export and filtered to X7R, 10 microfarad, 25 Vdc: 16 rows and 15 distinct part numbers, split 1210 with 10 rows, 1206 with 5 and 2220 with 1. At 0805 the 10 microfarad, 25 V brief has 7 rows and none is X7R. We have not seen this counted anywhere.
At 0805 the X7R 10 microfarad parts stop at 16 Vdc (0805B106M160). The 25 V rows at that size are X5R (0805X106K250), X6S (0805S106K250) and X7S (0805A106K250), plus one soft-termination X5R line. The table sets a footprint-first brief of 0805, X7R, 10 microfarad, plus or minus 10%, 25 V against real parts and leaves a column for your incumbent.
| Walsin part | Series | Size and dielectric | Thickness field | Your incumbent | Match / mismatch with an 0805, X7R, 10 microfarad, 10%, 25 V brief |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
0805X106K250 |
General Purpose | 0805, X5R | 1.25 plus or minus 0.20 mm | ___ | Match on size, value, tolerance, voltage; mismatch on dielectric |
0805A106K250 |
General Purpose | 0805, X7S | 1.25 plus or minus 0.20 mm | ___ | Match on size, value, tolerance, voltage; mismatch on dielectric |
1206B106K250 |
General Purpose | 1206, X7R | 1.60 plus 0.30 minus 0.10 mm | ___ | Match on dielectric, value, tolerance, voltage; mismatch on size |
1210B106K250 |
General Purpose | 1210, X7R | 2.00 or 2.50 mm (two rows) | ___ | Match on the same four; mismatch on size and height |
SH31B106K250 |
Soft Termination (SH) | 1206, X7R | 1.60 plus or minus 0.50 mm | ___ | Match on the electrical fields; mismatch on size and termination |
MT32B106K250 |
Automotive (MT) | 1210, X7R | 2.50 plus or minus 0.30 mm | ___ | Match on the electrical fields; mismatch on size; AEC-Q200 status is Walsin’s wording, so request the report |
Two of those rows cannot be pasted into a layout without a change: the footprint grows from 0805 to 1206 or 1210. Our post on how to cross-reference an MLCC sets out the field order, and our post on DC bias and voltage derating explains why an X5R and an X7R at the same marked value do not hold the same capacitance under bias. The 1210B106K250 entry appears twice in the export with two thickness values, which is a duplicate-row defect of the kind we have documented before; ask for the datasheet row for the height you need.
What does the Hong Kong shelf hold at 10 microfarad?
Three X7R lines, one of them at 25 V. We matched our stock list as at 23 September 2026, 1,125 part numbers, against the export: of the 72 X7R rows at 10 microfarad, 3 part numbers are held, namely 0805B106K100 at 10 Vdc, 1210B106K160 at 16 Vdc and 1210B106K250 at 25 Vdc.
So for a 25 V rail the shelf holds a single 1210 line, and the 15 distinct part numbers that meet the brief are otherwise a request. That is useful to know before a layout is frozen: a design that needs the 0805 footprint at 25 V has no X7R choice at all. The MLCC range lists the families. Stock is a dated snapshot and moves; our ready stock page shows the Hong Kong list as at 23 September 2026.
What stays open when a Serbian buyer swaps one of these in?
The comparison, not the capacitance. Of the six rows above, 2 match on every electrical field and mismatch on size alone, and for none of the 6 have we compared the DC-bias curve in this post. We hold 28 Walsin datasheets, 451 pages, and send them on request.
Two fields the export does not give you decide the swap: the capacitance remaining at your working bias, and the height against your assembly. For an automotive board, qualification stays with you. Walsin’s wording is compliant, never certified, and the export has no qualification column. Confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit.
What will we not tell you about Serbia?
Anything about duty, customs or approval. We hold no office, entity or stock in Serbia; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation, and the two public sources above are the only Serbian content here. We give no legal or customs advice; confirm with your compliance team.
We name no Serbian customer, state no delivery time and promise no stock. What we can do is the cross-reference: a field-by-field read for an approved vendor list that your engineers control.
How Venatech helps
- VenaMatch cross-reference. Paste an incumbent part number into the free cross-reference tool. It decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts and returns Walsin candidates with match and mismatch fields.
- BOM check. Upload a list at /bom/ and each line is checked against the same engine.
- Ready-stock list. The Hong Kong list is a dated snapshot, as at 23 September 2026, never live-synced.
- Worked example from our own export. Paste
1210B106K250and read the other 14 distinct part numbers that share its value, voltage and dielectric. Then look at what an 0805 brief returns: none in X7R. - Who we are. Walsin is our only authorised line; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply. We are Hong Kong based, handle small lots and cross-referencing help, and you can request a quote through the site. Qualification stays with you.
The short version
A Serbian buyer should check the case size before the capacitance. Of 16 Walsin X7R, 10 microfarad, 25 V rows, none is 0805, 10 are 1210, 5 are 1206 and 1 is 2220, and one X7R line is on the Hong Kong shelf as at 23 September 2026. More electronics output in Niš does not change that arithmetic.
Send us one bulk-capacitor line from your BOM and we will return the Walsin parts with the size, dielectric and height differences stated. If your layout is frozen at 0805, which dielectric are you prepared to change?
