Electronics and Semiconductor Assembly Components for the Philippines from Hong Kong: Seipi Forecasts 53 to 54 Billion in 2026 Exports, and Walsin’s 25 ppm Precision Resistors Stop at 470 kΩ, with Only 2 of 5 Matched Stocked Lines Having One

Electronics components for the Philippines depend on a tolerance ladder with a hole in it. Walsin’s export lists three precision thick-film grades, 100, 50 and 25 ppm. The 25 ppm grade exists only at 0603, 0805 and 1206, and only from 470 Ω to 470 kΩ. Of 5 stocked precision lines that match the export, 2 have a 25 ppm twin.

Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin Technology (Walsin) chip resistor export, 234,815 rows and 234,401 distinct part numbers, and a ready-stock list dated 23 September 2026. This post is for a purchasing or design engineer at a Philippine electronics maker, assembly house or test-equipment team who needs a precision resistor for a measurement, reference or divider position. Every part number below is real and every count is ours. The market statements name their sources and the day we read them, 23 October 2026.

What is the Philippine electronics export outlook for 2026?

Higher than a year ago. The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported on 10 August 2026 that the Semiconductor and Electronics Industries group, Seipi, forecast electronics exports of 53 to 54 billion US dollars for 2026, up from about 49.6 billion in 2025, and that it had raised its outlook from an earlier flat one. We state it as a forecast, not an outcome.

A second report the same day, from context.ph, said exports grew 16 percent in 2025 on artificial-intelligence and data-centre demand, and put the country at about 5 percent of global semiconductor activity and about 1 percent of the electronics manufacturing services market. Both are industry-body or press figures and we have not tested them. Neither names a component or a supplier, and we draw no conclusion about what any plant buys. We have no relationship with Seipi, the Inquirer or context.ph. The scenario that follows is ours: a plant that assembles and tests devices carries test boards and instruments, and those carry precision resistors.

What do Walsin’s three precision grades cover?

Not the same ground. We parsed all 234,815 rows of Walsin’s chip resistor export, which comes as High_Precision_Thick_Film_chip_resistor_0_1_1_8W.xlsx, High_Precision_Thick_Film_chip_resistor_0_1_1_4W.xlsx, High_Precision_Thick_Film_chip_resistor_0_5_1_16W.xlsx and other files. The high-precision thick-film family has 13,474 rows at 100 ppm, 17,129 at 50 ppm and 3,087 at 25 ppm. The 25 ppm rows are 1,029 each at 0603, 0805 and 1206, with none at 0402, 1210, 2010 or 2512, and every one sits between 470 Ω and 470 kΩ. We have not seen the ceiling written anywhere else.

Grade Rows Sizes listed Resistance span Tolerances Match / mismatch
100 ppm 13,474 0402 to 2512 Wide 0.1% and 0.5% Match at any size; the loosest grade
50 ppm 17,129 0402 to 1206 10 Ω to 1 MΩ at 0603 and larger; 100 Ω to 1 MΩ at 0402 0.1, 0.25, 0.5 and 1% Match at 0402 to 1206; mismatch above 1206
25 ppm 3,087 0603, 0805, 1206 470 Ω to 470 kΩ 0.1, 0.25 and 0.5% Mismatch at 0402, below 470 Ω, above 470 kΩ and at 1%

The grade rides in the fifth character of the part number: H for 100 ppm, K for 50 ppm and J for 25 ppm. Our post on tolerance, TCR and dielectric codes decoded explains the reading. The 50 ppm family also has an automotive series, with 8,680 rows; the counts above are the non-automotive grades only.

Which stocked precision lines have a tighter twin?

Five of eight join the export; five of five have a 50 ppm twin, two have a 25 ppm twin. The 23 September 2026 list holds 8 stocked lines that begin WF with a precision-grade code. We matched each to the export on size, resistance, tolerance and power. Five join: WF04H1202DTL, WF04H3302DTL, WF08H8203BTL, WF12H1202BTL and WF12H5762BTL, all 100 ppm. Every one has a 50 ppm twin; only WF12H1202BTL and WF12H5762BTL have a 25 ppm twin.

The other three, WF06Q7502FTL, WF06U5363BTL and WF08R1203BTL, have no export row. Their fifth characters, Q, U and R, occur in none of the 76,554 distinct WF part numbers in the export. We hold the parts; the export does not describe them, which is a statement about the export, not about the parts.

The three lines with no 25 ppm twin fail for three different reasons. The two 0402 lines fail on size, and WF08H8203BTL fails on value: 820 kΩ is above the 470 kΩ ceiling.

Which worked lines show the match and the mismatch?

Six lines cover the cases. The last column is for your incumbent part.

Stocked line Fields as exported Nearest tighter part Match / mismatch Your incumbent
WF12H1202BTL 1206, 12 kΩ, plus or minus 0.1%, 100 ppm, 1/4 W WF12J1202BTL, 25 ppm Match on size, value, tolerance, power; mismatch on grade
WF12H5762BTL 1206, 57.6 kΩ, plus or minus 0.1%, 100 ppm WF12J5762BTL, 25 ppm Match on every field except grade
WF08H8203BTL 0805, 820 kΩ, plus or minus 0.1%, 100 ppm, 1/8 W WF08K8203BTL, 50 ppm Match on size, value, tolerance, power; mismatch on grade; no 25 ppm part at 820 kΩ
WF04H1202DTL 0402, 12 kΩ, plus or minus 0.5%, 100 ppm, 1/16 W WF04K1202DTL, 50 ppm Match on size, value, tolerance, power; mismatch on grade; no 25 ppm part at 0402
WF04H3302DTL 0402, 33 kΩ, plus or minus 0.5%, 100 ppm WF04K3302DTL, 50 ppm Match on every field except grade
WF06Q7502FTL Not in the export None found Mismatch: no row to compare

Cross-checking within the file, the 50 ppm twin of a stocked line is a better grade at the same footprint, not a drop-in guarantee; confirm the full datasheet for your application. Our post on thin film against thick film chip resistors covers when thick film stops being enough.

What will we not tell you about the Philippines?

Anything about Philippine export zones, incentives or customs. We hold no office, entity or stock in the Philippines; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We state no duty rate, transit time or carrier, and we give no legal or customs advice; confirm with your compliance team. We hold neither ISO 9001 nor IATF 16949, and we make no claim that any Walsin part is approved for a device-test or burn-in programme.

How Venatech helps

Start with one resistor line. Paste it into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts and lists Walsin candidates with match and mismatch fields, or upload a list to the BOM checker, up to 500 part numbers or an Excel or CSV file. The Hong Kong ready-stock list is a dated snapshot, 23 September 2026, never live-synced; it holds eight WF precision lines, and a 25 ppm part is a quote request. Walsin is the only line we are authorised for; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply. We work from Hong Kong, in small lots, and you can request a quote through the site. The chip resistor range lists the series. Qualification stays with you.

The short version

Three precision grades, one hole: 25 ppm exists at 0603, 0805 and 1206 only, from 470 Ω to 470 kΩ. Of 5 stocked lines that join the export, all 5 have a 50 ppm twin and 2 have a 25 ppm one; 3 more stocked lines are not in the export at all. Confirm against the datasheet and test in your own circuit.

Send us your precision resistor lines and we will return the Walsin parts with every difference stated. Does your reference position need 25 ppm, or does 50 ppm clear your error budget?
