White goods electronics for Turkey run on cheap parts that fail on paperwork, not physics. We parsed all 10,120 Walsin Technology (Walsin) resistor array rows: 2,379 carry an embedded space, including every one of the 2,362 rows at plus or minus 5 percent, so a pasted BOM line misses them.
Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin chip resistor exports and a stock list dated 23 September 2026. This post is for a purchasing or design engineer at a Turkish appliance maker or its board supplier who maintains a control-board BOM and wants a second source that matches on the first paste. Every part number is real and every count is ours. The market statements name their source and the day we fetched it, 23 October 2026.
What is happening to Turkish white goods output, and what does it mean for a component buyer?
Volumes fell, so every BOM line is under review. The Turkish white goods association, TÜRKBESD, reported January to June 2026 production down 15 percent year on year to 12.8 million units, exports down 19 percent to 8.3 million units and domestic sales of six product categories down 7 percent to 4.7 million units. All of these are the association’s figures, reported by Türkiye Today on 1 August 2026.
The same report says June 2026 production was broadly unchanged at 1.7 million units while June exports fell 11 percent to 1.2 million units, and that the sector’s annual production capacity is 29 million units against about 20.2 million units exported in 2025. By category, the report gives first-half export declines of 28 percent for refrigerators, 27 percent for washing machines, 23 percent for tumble dryers, 18 percent for freezers, 15 percent for dishwashers and 5 percent for ovens.
We draw one conclusion, and it is ours: a maker running well under capacity re-examines cost and sourcing on every line that appears on many boards. A control board is full of such lines. We have no relationship with any Turkish appliance maker and name none.
Why does a resistor array on an appliance control board fail to match a BOM line?
Because the part number you paste contains no space and the export’s does. Of 10,120 array rows in the Walsin export, 2,379 (23.5 percent) hold a space inside the part number: all 2,362 rows at plus or minus 5 percent and all 17 jumper rows, against 0 of 7,741 rows at plus or minus 1 percent. We have not seen this counted anywhere.
We parsed every array and network file in the chip resistor export: 10,120 rows, 10,120 distinct part numbers, 19 series names. The pattern is exact. Walsin’s three-digit value code for a 5 percent part leaves a blank where the one-percent four-digit code has a digit, so WA04X300 JTL carries a space and WA04X3000FTL does not. Across the whole chip resistor export the figure is 39,576 of 234,815 rows, which our post on why Walsin part numbers do not paste into your BOM covers. The array-specific finding is that the space follows the tolerance perfectly: the 5 percent value, the plainest line on a white goods board, is the one that breaks.
A second trap sits in the digits. Read as 300, the 5 percent code means 30 ohm. Read as 3000, the 1 percent code means 300 ohm. Same digits, a factor of ten apart. Our post on resistor arrays against discrete resistors explains why arrays are used at all.

How many stocked resistor lines on a Hong Kong shelf paste only after a space is removed?
67 of 255. We matched all 255 resistor and array lines on our 23 September 2026 list to the chip resistor export: 183 match the export spelling exactly, 67 match only after a space is removed, and 5 have no export row. The one stocked array, WA04X300JTL, is in the second group.
The other 66 are chip resistors at 5 percent or the jump-resistor code, such as WR04X101JTL and WR04X000PTL. Our shelf list gives the orderable form without the blank; the export keeps it.
