A Vishay CRCW cross reference for Malaysia is a power question disguised as a value question. CRCW0603562RFKEA decodes to 0603, 562 ohm, plus or minus 1% and 100 ppm. We counted 26 discrete Walsin part numbers that answer it, only 7 of them at a 1/8 W rating, and none is on our Hong Kong shelf.
Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin Technology (Walsin) chip resistor export of 234,815 rows, 234,401 of them distinct part numbers once embedded spaces are removed. This post is for a procurement or design engineer in Malaysia, at an electronics manufacturing site, who has a Vishay CRCW line on a bill of materials and wants a Hong Kong second source in small lots. We decode one Vishay string from Vishay’s own sheet and set it against Walsin’s export, field by field. The market figure is sourced and dated, and every Walsin part number is real.
Why does Malaysia’s August export jump matter to a resistor buyer?
Because it shows how fast the volume moved, and the same report says how it might turn. The Star reported on 22 September 2026 that Malaysia’s electrical and electronics exports rose 66.5% in August 2026, up from 51% in July, and that integrated circuit exports rose 97%. We read the report on 23 October 2026.
Total exports rose 45.5% in August and 31.2% for the year to date, and Kenanga Research raised its 2026 export growth forecast to 28.5% from 19%. The same report quotes Kenanga flagging downside risks, including US trade policy, weaker global growth and a possible post-AI electronics demand cliff. It says nothing about resistors or any component shortage. Our view, labelled as ours: when volume moves that fast in both directions, a bill of materials needs lines that two sources can fill, and the way to find out is to cross the common parts now, one at a time. A 0603 resistor is the most common part on most boards, which is why it is the test.
What does a Vishay CRCW number say, field by field?
Five fields, and one of them hides a power decision. Vishay’s D/CRCW e3 sheet, document 20035, revision 14 April 2026, decodes its worked example CRCW0603562RFKEA as: model CRCW0603, resistance 562R (562 ohm), tolerance F (plus or minus 1%), TCR K (plus or minus 100 ppm/K) and packaging EA (5,000 pieces on a 7-inch reel). It is Vishay’s own example, and it is not in the Walsin export.
| Vishay field | Code | Meaning (Vishay’s sheet) | Walsin side | Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Model and size | CRCW0603 | Thick film chip resistor, 0603 | 06 in characters 3 and 4 of the part number |
Match on 0603 |
| Resistance | 562R | 562 ohm; R marks the decimal point | 5620, four digits |
Match on value, mismatch in grammar: the digits are written differently |
| Tolerance | F | plus or minus 1% | F |
Match |
| TCR | K | plus or minus 100 ppm/K | Export TCR: 23 at 100 ppm, 3 at 50 ppm | Match on 23, tighter on 3 |
| Packaging | EA | 5,000 pieces, 7-inch reel (Vishay’s code ET1) | Last tail letter L or R; export says 7-inch reel taping |
Match on reel size; quantity not in the export |
| Termination | e3 (in the description, not the number) | Pure tin | Export says Sn base (lead free) | Check: the two wordings differ; compare the plating statements |
| Rated power | not in the number | 0.125 W at 70 degrees for 0603, tied to stability class 1 | 1/10, 1/8, 1/4 or 1/3 W | Mismatch for 15 of 26 |
Vishay’s sheet gives the 0.125 W figure as the rated power at 70 °C and notes that standard and extended operating modes have different maxima for 0402, 0603 and 0805. We have not reproduced those maxima, and which mode your design uses is a question for your engineer and Vishay’s sheet. Our post on crossing Vishay thin film to Walsin covers the separate thin film family.
How many Walsin parts answer a 0603, 562 ohm, 1%, 100 ppm line?
Twenty-six discrete parts, from five groups. We parsed the 42,374 distinct 0603 part numbers in the Walsin chip resistor export and found 33 at 562 ohm and plus or minus 1%; 7 of those are arrays of 2, 4 or 8 resistors, leaving 26 discrete parts: 10 general purpose, 8 high power, 3 high precision, 3 high voltage and 2 anti-surge. Of the 26, 15 sit in series the export labels automotive and 11 do not.
| Walsin part | Group (export) | Power | TCR (ppm/°C) | Shelf, 23 September 2026 | Match / mismatch against the Vishay string |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
WR06X5620FTL |
General purpose | 1/10 W | 100 | No | Match on case, value, tolerance, TCR; mismatch on power, 1/10 W against 0.125 W |
WR06X5620FTR |
General purpose, LF 100 ppm | 1/10 W | 100 | No | Match on the same; mismatch on power |
MR06X5620FTL |
General purpose, series labelled automotive | 1/8 W | 100 | No | Match on all electrical fields including power; mismatch on the series label |
WF06P5620FTL |
High power | 1/8 W | 100 | No | Match on case, value, tolerance, TCR and power; mismatch on group |
WF06P5620FTR |

WF06A5620FTL |
High power | 1/3 W | 100 | No | Match on value and case; mismatch on power, a higher rating |
WF06K5620FTL |
High precision thick film | 1/10 W | 50 | No | Match on value and case; mismatch on power and TCR |
WF06V5620FTL |
High voltage | 1/10 W | 100 | No | Match on value and case; mismatch on group and power |
The plain general purpose part is the one most buyers reach for, and it is rated lower than the Vishay headline. That is a fact about the rating, not a verdict on your circuit: if your board dissipates well under 1/10 W in this position, it may not matter, and if it does not, the 1/8 W parts are the closer match. We give no derating advice.
Which of the 26 match a 0.125 W headline?
Seven, and they are not in the group most buyers expect. Of the 26 discrete Walsin parts at 0603, 562 ohm and 1%, 15 are rated 1/10 W, 7 are rated 1/8 W, 3 are rated 1/3 W and 1 is rated 1/4 W; the seven at 1/8 W are MR06X5620FTL and six high power parts, WF06P5620FTL, WF06P5620FTLV, WF06P5620FTR, WF06P5620FTLJ, MF06P5620FTL and SF06P5620FTP. We have not seen this counted anywhere.
Two of the seven sit in series the export does not label automotive and are not anti-sulfuration: WF06P5620FTL and WF06P5620FTR. The other five carry an automotive or anti-sulfuration label, and whether you want that label is a qualification decision that stays with you. The seven array parts that share the 0603 label, such as WA06X5620FTL, are packages of several resistors, not drop-in singles, and our post on why Walsin part numbers do not paste into your BOM explains the spacing and naming traps that make them easy to confuse.
| Rated power | Walsin discrete parts at 0603, 562 ohm, 1% | Share of the 26 | Match / mismatch against 0.125 W |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1/10 W | 15 | 58% | Mismatch: below the Vishay headline |
| 1/8 W | 7 | 27% | Match on the headline figure |
| 1/4 W | 1 | 4% | Mismatch: higher |
| 1/3 W | 3 | 12% | Mismatch: higher |
What do we hold in stock around 562 ohm?
None at 562 ohm, and a plain 0603 range around it. As at 23 September 2026 our list holds 1,125 part numbers, 254 of them chip resistors, 102 of those are 0603 lines in the seven Walsin prefixes, and none is 562 ohm. The 26 candidates are a factory order.
The nearest values we hold are WR06X5490FTL (549 ohm) and WR06X5600FTL (560 ohm), both general purpose at plus or minus 1%. They are different values, and moving to either is your engineer’s decision; we list them so you see the neighbours, not to suggest a swap. The stock list is a dated snapshot, and we quote part-number counts, never piece counts. The ready stock page shows what we hold. We hold two chip resistor datasheets, the general purpose WR and MR series; the high power and high precision groups behind most of the 1/8 W parts have none on our file. The WR sheet we hold is ASC_WR_V24, dated September 2016, and we say plainly that it is ten years old.
How can Venatech help a Malaysian buyer cross a Vishay resistor?
By putting the power decision on the table before you order, in small lots. Venatech Limited is an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong. Walsin is our only authorised line, and the other lines we supply are Stackpole and Viking.
- Cross-reference. Paste your Vishay number into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts, and read each Walsin candidate with match and mismatch stated field by field.
- BOM check. Upload a bill of materials to /bom/ and have each line checked against the same engine.
- Ready stock. The ready stock list is a Hong Kong snapshot dated 23 September 2026, never live-synced.
- Service. Hong Kong-based, small lots, cross-referencing help, and a quote requested through the site. Our address is Unit 207, 2/F, Sun Ling Plaza, 30 On Kui Street, Fanling, N.T., Hong Kong, telephone (852) 2628 4777.
A worked example from our own export: a Vishay line that reads 0603, 562 ohm, 1%, 100 ppm maps to WR06X5620FTL if 1/10 W is acceptable, and to WF06P5620FTL if you need the 1/8 W headline. Our chip resistor range lists the families. Confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit. Ask your compliance team about any import or product rule; we give no legal advice.
The short version
Malaysia’s electrical and electronics exports rose 66.5% in August 2026, per The Star on 22 September 2026, and the same report names a possible demand cliff as a risk. For one Vishay CRCW line the number to carry is 26: the discrete Walsin parts at 0603, 562 ohm and 1%, of which only 7 are rated 1/8 W, and none is on the shelf.
Send us the 0603 resistor lines from one Malaysian board and we will return the Walsin candidates with the power rating stated beside each. When the most common part on your board has a second source rated one step lower, who on your team decides that it is fine?

What does Vishay’s CRCW0603562RFKEA decode to?
From Vishay’s document 20035: model CRCW0603 (0603 thick film), resistance 562R (562 ohm), tolerance F (plus or minus 1%), TCR K (plus or minus 100 ppm/K) and packaging EA (5,000 pieces, 7-inch reel). Termination e3, pure tin, sits in the product description rather than the number.
How many Walsin part numbers match a 0603, 562 ohm, 1% resistor?
Twenty-six discrete parts. We parsed 42,374 distinct 0603 part numbers and found 33 at 562 ohm and plus or minus 1%, of which 7 are multi-resistor arrays. The 26 differ in power, TCR and group, so match field by field.
Does the plain Walsin 0603 resistor match Vishay’s power rating?
No. Vishay’s sheet gives 0.125 W at 70 degrees for 0603 and Walsin’s general purpose WR06X5620FTL is 1/10 W. Seven discrete candidates are rated 1/8 W, including the high power WF06P5620FTL. Whether the difference matters is for your engineer.
Do you hold a 562 ohm 0603 resistor in Hong Kong stock?
No. As at 23 September 2026 none of the 26 candidates is on our list. We hold 102 0603 lines in the seven common prefixes, including 549 ohm and 560 ohm general purpose parts. The ready stock page shows what is held now, and we quote part-number counts only.
Are the 562 ohm array parts a substitute for a single resistor?
Not directly. Seven rows at 562 ohm and 1% carry the 0603 label but are arrays of 2, 4 or 8 resistors. They have a different footprint and are not drop-in singles. Match the package type before you match the value.
Does Malaysia’s export growth mean resistors are short?
No. The Star report of 22 September 2026 gives export growth and risks and says nothing about resistors or any shortage. Our point is only that fast-moving volume is a reason to cross common parts early.
