Electric Bus Electronics for Qatar From Hong Kong: A 47 pF 50 V 0603 C0G Line Has 19 Walsin Part Numbers in 7 Series, Only 3 Are AEC-Q200 Parts, and the One on Our Shelf Is Not Among Them

A 47 pF, 50 V, 0603 C0G line gives a Qatar buyer 19 Walsin part numbers in 7 series. Three are AEC-Q200 MT parts, and none is on our Hong Kong list. The one part that is, 0603N470J500, is General Purpose, so an automotive grade needs a different line.

Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin Technology (Walsin) MLCC parametric export: 24,026 rows, 23,601 distinct part numbers. This post is for a procurement or design engineer at a Qatar maker or integrator of electric bus, charger or vehicle-electronics equipment who needs a second source for a small C0G capacitor and must say which grade it is. Every Walsin part number below is real and every count is ours. Where it states a development, it names the source, the date of the page and the day we fetched it, 2 November 2026.

What did Mowasalat say about its electric bus fleet in July 2026?

That most of its public network fleet is now electric. The Peninsula reported on 5 July 2026 that Mowasalat, which operates the Karwa network, has electrified more than 70 percent of its public network fleet, and that its Lusail Bus Depot is recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s largest electric bus depot. The visit was a sustainability programme for 50 sustainable development ambassadors.

The article gives no bus count, no charging data and no supplier. We draw no conclusion about which parts any operator or manufacturer in Qatar buys, and we have no relationship with Mowasalat.

Which Walsin 0603 parts carry 47 pF at 50 V?

Nineteen. We filtered the MLCC export to size 0603, NPO dielectric, 47 pF and 50 Vdc: 19 distinct part numbers in 7 series, and 1 of them is on our Hong Kong list as at 23 September 2026. All print a thickness of 0.80 plus or minus 0.07 mm, except SH18N470F500, which leaves the thickness blank. The last column is for your incumbent part.

MG18N470F500 Automotive without AEC-Q200 (MG) printed as -0.01 No Mismatch: the tolerance column is not a tolerance; read the letter F
MG18N470J500 Automotive without AEC-Q200 (MG) printed as -0.05 No Mismatch: read the letter J
HH18N470J500 High Q and Low ESR (HH) plus or minus 5% No Match on size, value, voltage; mismatch on series
RF18N470J500 Microwave (RF) plus or minus 5% No Match on size, value, voltage; mismatch on series and stated Q floor
SH18N470J500 Soft termination SH plus or minus 5% No Match on value, voltage; mismatch on termination

The other seven are HH18N470F500, HH18N470G500, HH18N470K500, RF18N470F500, RF18N470G500, SG18N470J500 and SH18N470F500. Across every size and voltage, 47 pF NPO has 302 distinct part numbers.

Which of the 19 are automotive parts, and which are not?

Five carry an automotive series name, and only three carry the qualification. We counted by series: MT (AEC-Q200) has 3 parts, MG has 2, and the other 14 are General Purpose, HH, RF, SG or SH. Walsin’s own series name for MG is “without AEC-Q200 certification”, so an MG part is automotive in intent and not qualified in name.

That matters for a buyer who writes “AEC-Q200” on a drawing. At 0603 and 47 pF the MT grade exists at plus or minus 1, 2 and 5 percent only; a plus or minus 10 percent part exists in General Purpose and HH, not in MT. Walsin’s sheets say AEC-Q200 compliant, not certified, so request the qualification report for the exact part number. Our post on what AEC-Q200 actually certifies explains the wording.

Does the Q floor change with the series at 47 pF?

Yes, for one series. At 47 pF, which is above 30 pF, the General Purpose, HH and MT sheets state a Q of at least 1,000, while the Microwave RF sheet states at least 1,400 for 0603. The test is at 1 MHz.

So the RF candidate RF18N470J500 carries a higher stated floor than the plain 0603N470J500, 1,400 against 1,000, and the others sit at 1,000. A bus-electronics board may not need either number; we do not know your circuit. If you do need a Q figure, state it and pick the series that names it.

What will we not tell you about Qatar?

Anything about Qatari regulation, customs, vehicle type approval or product conformity. We hold no office, entity or stock in Qatar; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We state no duty, border procedure, transit time or carrier, and we give no legal or customs advice; confirm with your compliance team.

We also do not say that any part here suits a bus, a traction system or a charger. The Walsin sheets list operating temperature and test conditions, not vehicle suitability, and we hold neither ISO 9001 nor IATF 16949 for Venatech.

Why do buyers in Qatar choose Venatech?

Because we tell you which parts are automotive-grade and which only look it. On this one line we list all 19 candidates, name the 3 that carry the AEC-Q200 MT series, name the 2 that do not, and mark the 1 that is on our Hong Kong list, as at 23 September 2026. You can check every statement against Walsin’s approval sheets.

How can Venatech help a Qatar bus electronics maker?

Start with the cross-reference. Paste your incumbent number into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts and lists Walsin candidates with match and mismatch fields, or upload a list to the BOM checker, up to 500 part numbers. The Hong Kong ready-stock list is a dated snapshot, 23 September 2026, never live-synced. Walsin is the only line we are authorised for; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply. Request a quote through the site. Our post on how to cross-reference an MLCC shows the field order.

A worked example from our own export: a 47 pF, plus or minus 5 percent, 50 V, 0603 NPO line maps to 0603N470J500, on our list, for a commercial grade; the AEC-Q200 candidate is MT18N470J500, not on it. Our MLCC range lists the families. We hold neither ISO 9001 nor IATF 16949. Qualification stays with you.

The short version

A 47 pF 50 V 0603 NPO line is 19 Walsin part numbers in 7 series. Three are AEC-Q200 MT parts, two are MG parts that Walsin names as not certified, and the single part on our list is General Purpose. RF states a Q floor of 1,400; the others state 1,000.

Send us one 0603 NPO number from your bill of materials and we will return the Walsin parts with every difference stated. Does your drawing say AEC-Q200, and if so, do you hold the qualification report for the part you are replacing?
