A 22 pF, 50 V, 0603 C0G (NPO) line gives an Israel buyer 19 Walsin part numbers in 7 series, and 3 are on our Hong Kong list. The approval sheets do not agree on Q: the Microwave RF series states a floor of 1,240 at this value, against 840 in the General Purpose, High Q, and AEC-Q200 MT sheets. The series changes the limit.
Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin Technology (Walsin) MLCC parametric export: 24,026 rows, 23,601 distinct part numbers. This post is for a procurement or design engineer at an Israel maker of water-plant, metering or sensor electronics who needs a second source for a small C0G capacitor on a control board. Every Walsin part number below is real and every count is ours. Where it states a development, it names the source, the date of the page and the day we fetched it, 2 November 2026.
What did the Israeli press report about desalination in August 2026?
That the plants are under strain and more capacity is planned. Ynetnews reported on 27 August 2026 that the Sorek 2 plant began producing about half its planned capacity in March 2025 and is expected to reach about 200 million cubic metres a year when fully operational, while a tender has been issued for a Hefer Valley plant of about 400 million cubic metres a year. The same article says the 2024 to 2025 hydrological year was the driest on record.
That is a news report about water supply. It says nothing about capacitors, shortages or any supplier, and we draw no conclusion about which parts any Israeli company buys. Plant control boards need small passives like any other board, and that is the only link we make.
| Point | What the source says | Source date | Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sorek 2 | About half of planned capacity from March 2025; about 200 million cubic metres a year at full operation | Ynetnews, 27 August 2026 | Match for context only |
| Hefer Valley | Tender issued; about 400 million cubic metres a year planned | Ynetnews, 27 August 2026 | Match for context only |
| Components | No part, volume or supplier is named | Ynetnews, 27 August 2026 | Mismatch with any claim about passives |
Which Walsin 0603 parts carry 22 pF at 50 V?
Nineteen. We filtered the MLCC export to size 0603, NPO dielectric, 22 pF and 50 Vdc: 19 distinct part numbers in 7 series, and 3 of them, the General Purpose plus or minus 1, 2 and 5 percent parts, are on our Hong Kong list as at 23 September 2026. All 19 print the same body, 1.60 by 0.80 mm, with a thickness of 0.80 plus or minus 0.07 mm. The last column is for your incumbent part; the free cross-reference tool fills the first four.

The 19 also include HH18N220G500, RF18N220G500, MT18N220G500, MT18N220J500, MG18N220F500, MG18N220K500 and SG18N220J500. Across every size and voltage the 22 pF NPO value has 359 distinct part numbers; in 0603 alone it is offered at 8 rated voltages from 6.3 to 250 V.
Do the approval sheets state the same Q floor for a 22 pF part?
No, and the difference is a factor of nearly one and a half. We read the Q limit in the General Purpose, High Q (HH), Microwave RF and Automotive MT sheets: General Purpose, HH and MT state Q of at least 400 plus 20 times the capacitance below 30 pF, which is 840 at 22 pF, while the RF sheet states at least 800 plus 20 times the capacitance for 0603, which is 1,240. The tests are at 1 MHz.
So at 22 pF in 0603 the series is part of the specification. A buyer who swaps an RF18 part for a 0603N part keeps the size, value and voltage and gives up 400 points of stated Q. The reverse swap adds headroom but changes the series and the tolerance grid. Our post on high Q and low ESR MLCC for RF explains how to read the limit.
Which tolerances does each series offer at 22 pF?
Four letters, and the series split them. We counted the letters across the 19 parts: F (1 percent) appears in 5 series, G (2 percent) in 4, J (5 percent) in 7, and K (10 percent) in 3 only, General Purpose, MT and MG. HH and RF stop at J, and the SG and SH soft-termination series offer J alone.
| Letter | Tolerance | Series offering it at 22 pF, 50 V, 0603 | Stocked | Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| F | plus or minus 1% | General Purpose, HH, RF, MT, MG | 1 of 5 series (General Purpose) | Match on value; series and stated Q differ |
| G | plus or minus 2% | General Purpose, HH, RF, MT | 1 of 4 series (General Purpose) | Match on value; series and stated Q differ |
| J | plus or minus 5% | all 7 series | 1 of 7 series (General Purpose) | Match on value; termination differs in SG and SH |
| K | plus or minus 10% | General Purpose, MT, MG | 0 of 3 | Match on value; the plain-series part is not stocked |
The MG rows print the tolerance as -0.01, -0.05 and -0.1, not as a percentage with a sign, so a script that parses the column fails on exactly the rows built for automotive use. The letter in the part number, F, J or K, is the reliable field.
What will we not tell you about Israel?
Anything about Israeli regulation, customs, standards or product conformity. We hold no office, entity or stock in Israel; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We state no duty, border procedure, transit time or carrier, and we give no legal or customs advice; confirm with your compliance team.
We also do not say that any listed part suits water treatment, a particular fluid or an environment. The Walsin sheets list operating temperature and test conditions, not water-plant suitability.
Why do buyers in Israel choose Venatech?
Because we show the whole line, including the part that is different. For this one 22 pF line we list all 19 candidates, name the 7 series, flag the RF series as the one with a higher stated Q floor, and mark the 3 that are on our Hong Kong list, as at 23 September 2026. You can check each statement against Walsin’s own approval sheets.

How can Venatech help an Israel control-board maker?
Start with the cross-reference. Paste your incumbent number into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts and lists Walsin candidates with match and mismatch fields, or upload a list to the BOM checker, up to 500 part numbers. The Hong Kong ready-stock list is a dated snapshot, 23 September 2026, never live-synced. Walsin is the only line we are authorised for; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply. Request a quote through the site. Our post on how to cross-reference an MLCC shows the field order.
A worked example from our own export: a 22 pF, plus or minus 5 percent, 50 V, 0603 NPO line maps to 0603N220J500, on our list; if your sheet demands a Q above 840 at this value, the nearest candidate is RF18N220J500, not on it. Our MLCC range lists the families. We hold neither ISO 9001 nor IATF 16949. Qualification stays with you.
The short version
A 22 pF 50 V 0603 NPO line is 19 Walsin part numbers in 7 series, 3 on our list, all General Purpose. Q is stated as 840 in three sheets and 1,240 in the RF sheet; ten percent exists only in General Purpose, MT and MG; the MG tolerance column cannot be parsed.
Send us one 0603 NPO number from your bill of materials and we will return the Walsin parts with every difference stated. Does your control board need a Q above 840 at 22 pF, or only a value and a tolerance?

What Q does a Walsin 22 pF 0603 C0G capacitor state?
It depends on the series. The General Purpose, High Q HH and Automotive MT sheets state at least 400 plus 20 times the capacitance below 30 pF, 840 at 22 pF. The Microwave RF sheet states at least 800 plus 20 times the capacitance for 0603, 1,240. Both at 1 MHz.
How many 22 pF 50 V 0603 C0G parts does Walsin list?
Nineteen distinct part numbers in seven series: General Purpose, HH, RF, MT, MG, SG and SH. Three are on our Hong Kong list as at 23 September 2026, all General Purpose, at plus or minus 1, 2 and 5 percent. The list is a dated snapshot.
Is there a plus or minus 10 percent option?
Yes, in General Purpose as 0603N220K500, and in the MT and MG series, three in all. It is not on our Hong Kong list. The HH, RF, SG and SH series stop at plus or minus 5 percent at this value.
Why does the MG tolerance column look wrong?
The MG rows print -0.01, -0.05 and -0.1 instead of a percentage with a sign. Read the letter in the part number, F, J or K. A script that parses the column as a tolerance will fail on these rows.
Is there an AEC-Q200 option at 22 pF?
The MT series lists four, from plus or minus 1 to 10 percent. Walsin’s sheets say AEC-Q200 compliant, not certified. Request the qualification report for the exact part number. Venatech makes no qualification claim of its own, and none is on our list.
Do you give Israel customs or conformity advice?
No. We hold no Israel entity or stock, and no Walsin document stating a water-industry certification. We give no legal or customs advice; confirm with your compliance team. We supply parts, and qualification stays with you.
