Tanzania Power and Industrial Electronics from Hong Kong: A Yageo RC1210FR-0710KL 10 Kilohm Line Finds 12 of 14 Walsin 1210 Rows at 1% Meet Its 0.5 W, and Not One of the 18,149 1210 Resistor Rows Is on Our Shelf

Tanzania power and industrial electronics from Hong Kong need a cross that counts the shortfalls. We resolved a Yageo RC1210FR-0710KL, a 10 kilohm, 1%, 0.5 W, 1210 chip resistor, and found 14 Walsin Technology (Walsin) rows at that value and tolerance. 12 meet its power and TCR, 2 do not, and none of the 18,149 Walsin 1210 resistor rows is on our shelf.

Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin chip resistor export of 234,815 rows, 28 Walsin datasheets (451 pages) and a stock list dated 23 September 2026. This post is for a design or procurement engineer at a Tanzanian power-electronics, switchgear-control or industrial-equipment maker or importer who has a Yageo 10 kilohm 1210 resistor on a bill of materials and wants Walsin candidates in small lots from Hong Kong. Every Walsin part number is real, every count is ours, and the news statement names its source and the day we fetched it, 2 November 2026.

What did the August 2026 reports say about Tanzania’s new hydropower plant?

The Chanzo reported on 24 August 2026 that the 2,115 MW Julius Nyerere hydropower plant on the Rufiji River was commissioned on 22 August 2026, that it supplied about 44.9% of the electricity fed into the grid in the year to 31 May 2026, and that installed capacity of 4,646 MW now stands against a peak demand of 2,271 MW.

The article, which we fetched on 2 November 2026, gives the cost as roughly 7.45 trillion Tanzanian shillings, funded from domestic resources, and says the government hopes to export surplus power to Zambia and Kenya without reporting any export volume. It names no electronic component, so we draw no link between its numbers and any resistor. Our view, labelled as ours: a country that now has more generating capacity than demand turns its attention to distribution, control and industrial load, and every control cabinet carries sense and bias resistors. We have no relationship with any Tanzanian utility or contractor.

What does a Yageo RC1210FR-0710KL say, field by field?

Yageo’s own specification page for RC1210FR-0710KL, resolved on 2 November 2026, shows a 10 kilohm, plus or minus 1% chip resistor in 1210 (3225 metric), rated 0.5 W at 70 degrees, plus or minus 100 ppm per degree, with 200 V continuous working voltage, 500 V maximum overvoltage and 500 V dielectric withstanding voltage.

Field Yageo RC1210FR-0710KL (page value) Walsin MR10X1002FTL (export and datasheet) Match / mismatch
Case 1210 (3225 metric) 1210(3225) Match
Value 10 kilohm 1002 in the code, 10000Ω in the export Match
Tolerance plus or minus 1% F in the code, ±1% Match
TCR plus or minus 100 ppm ≦±100; 100 in the MR sheet for 10 ohm to 1 megohm Match
Power 0.5 W at 70 degrees 1/2W; 1/2 W in the MR sheet Match
Working voltage 200 V 200 V in the MR sheet (ASC_MR_V13, March 2024) Match
Grade not stated on the page we read series text says Automotive Mismatch: an automotive-labelled family, not asked for

The string RC1210FR-0710KL is not in the Walsin export and is not a Walsin number.

Which Walsin rows answer a 10 kilohm, 1%, 1210 line?

We parsed the 18,149 Walsin 1210 chip resistor rows and found 39 at 10 kilohm, of which 14 are at plus or minus 1%; 12 carry a TCR at or below 100 ppm and 1/2 W or more, in 3 series groups: 6 high power, 5 general purpose and 1 anti-surge, and 2 general purpose rows are rated only 1/3 W. We have not seen this counted anywhere.

Walsin part Series group as exported TCR, power On shelf 23 Sep 2026 Match / mismatch against the Yageo line
MR10X1002FTL General purpose, series text says Automotive ≦±100, 1/2 W No Match on the electrical fields; mismatch: an automotive-labelled family
WR10X1002FTL Thick film general purpose ≦±100, 1/2 W No Match on value, tolerance, TCR, power and case
WF10P1002FTL Thick film high power ≦±100, 1/2 W No Match on the electrical fields; mismatch: a different series group
WF10A1002FTL Thick film high power ≦±100, 3/4 W No Mismatch: power 50% higher
MF10E1002FTL Thick film anti-surge ≦±100, 3/4 W No Mismatch: power and purpose, a surge-rated part
WR10X1002FTR Thick film general purpose ≦±100, 1/3 W No Mismatch: power one third below the incumbent’s
SR10X1002FTLW General purpose, series text says Automotive ≦±100, 1/3 W No Mismatch: power 1/3 W against 1/2 W

Within one family, WR10X1002FTL is 1/2 W and WR10X1002FTR is 1/3 W at the same value and tolerance, so a suffix can change a rating. Our post on chip resistor power rating by case size explains the steps, and our chip resistor range lists the families.

Which of these rows has a Walsin datasheet behind it?

Only the MR10 row: the WR sheet we hold, ASC_WR_V24, covers 1206, 0805, 0603 and 0402, so the 3,022 WR10 rows in the export have no sheet in our set, while the MR sheet, ASC_MR_V13 dated March 2024, covers 1210 and lists 1/2 W and 200 V.

That makes MR10X1002FTL the one candidate where every electrical field on the Yageo page can be read from a Walsin document, and it is an automotive-labelled family, so the reader pays for documentation with a grade he may not need. If you want the general purpose WR10X1002FTL, the power and voltage come from the export and from analogy with the MR sheet, and analogy is a thing to confirm, not assume. Walsin’s sheets say AEC-Q200 compliant, not certified; ask for the report for the exact number.

What does the Hong Kong shelf hold for this line?

As at 23 September 2026 our list holds 1,125 distinct part numbers, 254 of them chip resistors, and none of the 18,149 Walsin 1210 resistor rows is among them, including all 12 candidates for this line.

We measured that by joining the export to the list on part number. The ready stock list is a dated snapshot, never live-synced, and we quote part-number counts, never piece counts. Our post on Walsin passive components in Hong Kong stock explains how to read it. A line off the shelf is a factory order, requested through the site, and a 1210 line is one where asking early matters.

What will we not tell you about Tanzanian conditions?

We searched the text of all 28 Walsin datasheets we hold, 451 pages, for Tanzania, Africa and tropic, and found 0 matches. We therefore say nothing about climate, mains quality or standards in Tanzania, and we give no legal, customs or conformity advice; confirm with your compliance team.

We hold no office, entity or stock in Tanzania; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We hold no datasheet for the high-power or anti-surge rows, so every figure for those comes from the export alone.

Why do buyers in Tanzania choose Venatech?

Because the cross is honest, small-lot friendly and made in Hong Kong. Venatech Limited is an authorised Walsin distributor, and Walsin is the one line we call authorised; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply.

  • A tool that shows the mismatches. Paste the Yageo number into VenaMatch, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts. Here you see 14 rows at one value and tolerance, with the 2 that fall short of 0.5 W marked as mismatches, not hidden.
  • Range you can count. Walsin’s 1210 chip resistor export holds 18,149 rows, and 39 of them are at 10 kilohm. A Tanzanian buyer can choose the same footprint at 1/2 W, 3/4 W or a surge-rated version.
  • A Hong Kong shelf and small lots. A dated ready-stock list, snapshot 23 September 2026, not live, and small lots welcome for prototypes and pilot runs.
  • Honest about gaps. We tell you which row has a datasheet and which rows do not, and that the 1210 case has no shelf coverage in our snapshot. That honesty is part of the service.

How can Venatech help a Tanzanian buyer cross a Yageo part?

By showing the differences instead of hiding them, in small lots. Venatech Limited is an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong.

  • Cross-reference. Paste your Yageo number into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts, and read the Walsin candidates with each field marked match or mismatch.
  • BOM check. Upload the control board’s bill of materials to /bom/, up to 500 part numbers or an Excel or CSV file.
  • Ready stock. The ready-stock list is a Hong Kong snapshot dated 23 September 2026, not live.
  • Service. Hong Kong-based, small lots, help with cross-referencing by hand when the tool returns no clean candidate, and a quote requested through the site.

Worked example from our own export: a Yageo 10 kilohm, 1%, 0.5 W, 1210 line maps to MR10X1002FTL on every field including a March 2024 datasheet, and to WR10X1002FTL on every export field without a sheet. Confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit.

The short version

For a Tanzanian buyer, a Yageo RC1210FR-0710KL line finds 14 Walsin 1210 rows at 10 kilohm and 1%, of which 12 meet 0.5 W and 100 ppm in 3 series groups; only the MR10 row has a datasheet in our set, and none of the 18,149 1210 rows is on the Hong Kong shelf.

Send us one 1210 resistor from a Tanzanian control or power board and we will return the Walsin candidates with every difference stated and the stock position named. Would you take the automotive-labelled family to get a datasheet, or the plain one without?

Frequently asked questions

What did The Chanzo report on Tanzania’s Julius Nyerere plant?

On 24 August 2026 it reported that the 2,115 MW plant was commissioned on 22 August 2026 and supplied about 44.9 percent of grid electricity in the year to 31 May 2026. It names no component. Confirm figures with TANESCO.

What is a Yageo RC1210FR-0710KL?

Yageo’s specification page, resolved on 2 November 2026, shows a 10 kilohm, plus or minus 1 percent, 1210 chip resistor rated 0.5 W with 100 ppm TCR and 200 V working voltage. It is not a Walsin number. Confirm against Yageo’s own datasheet.

How many Walsin rows match 10 kilohm, 1 percent and 1210?

We counted 14 at that value and tolerance in the 234,815-row chip resistor export. 12 also meet 100 ppm and 1/2 W or more, in 3 series groups. The other 2 are rated 1/3 W and fall short of the incumbent’s power.

Which Walsin 1210 candidate has a datasheet?

Only the MR10 row. The MR sheet we hold, ASC_MR_V13 dated March 2024, covers 1210 and lists 1/2 W and 200 V. The WR sheet we hold covers 1206 to 0402 only. Ask Walsin for the sheet for your exact part number.

Is any candidate on the Hong Kong shelf?

No. As at 23 September 2026 none of the 18,149 Walsin 1210 resistor rows is on our stock list, so each candidate is a quote requested through the site. The list is a dated snapshot, never live-synced.

Can Venatech advise on Tanzanian import rules or grid conditions?

No. None of the 28 Walsin datasheets we hold, 451 pages, mentions Tanzania, and we give no legal, customs or conformity advice. We hold no office, entity or stock in Tanzania. Qualification stays with you.
