Tanzania Smart Grid and Metering Electronics from Hong Kong: A Yageo CC0603KRX5R8BB105 1 Microfarad X5R Line Finds 4 Walsin 0603 Rows at 25 V or More, 1 Is on Our Shelf, and 1 Has No Thickness in the Export

Tanzania smart grid and metering electronics from Hong Kong start with an honest MLCC cross. We resolved a Yageo CC0603KRX5R8BB105, a 1 microfarad, 10%, 25 V X5R 0603 capacitor, and found 4 Walsin Technology (Walsin) rows rated 25 V or more. 1, 0603X105K250, is on our shelf, and 1, 0603X105K350, lists no thickness at all.

Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin MLCC export of 23,601 distinct part numbers, 28 Walsin datasheets (451 pages) and a stock list dated 23 September 2026. This post is for a design or procurement engineer at a Tanzanian meter, control-panel or power-electronics maker or importer who has a Yageo 1 microfarad 0603 capacitor on a bill of materials and wants Walsin candidates in small lots from Hong Kong. Every Walsin part number is real, every count is ours, and the news statement names its source and the day we fetched it, 2 November 2026.

What did the August 2026 reports say about Tanzania’s grid and its trade plans?

The Nation reported, in an article that carries no publication date but cites events up to 15 August 2026, that Tanzania has about 4,646 MW of generation capacity against a peak demand it gives as about 2,010 MW, that Tanzania and Kenya signed an electricity trade agreement in May 2026, and that construction has started on the 400 kV Chalinze to Dodoma transmission project.

The article, which we fetched on 2 November 2026, gives no export volumes and no interconnector ratings. The Chanzo article we cite in our companion post on a Yageo resistor gives peak demand as 2,271 MW against the same capacity, so the two sources disagree by more than 200 MW and we report both. Neither names an electronic component, so we draw no link between the numbers and any capacitor. Our view, labelled as ours: a 400 kV line and a cross-border trade deal point to more substations, protection and metering, which are built from boards with 1 microfarad class decoupling. We have no relationship with any Tanzanian utility or contractor.

What does a Yageo CC0603KRX5R8BB105 say, field by field?

Yageo’s own specification page for CC0603KRX5R8BB105, resolved on 2 November 2026, shows a 1 microfarad, plus or minus 10% capacitor in X5R, rated 25 VDC, in 0603 (1608 metric), with a thickness of 0.8 mm, plus or minus 0.1 mm.

Field Yageo CC0603KRX5R8BB105 (page value) Walsin 0603X105K250 (export) Match / mismatch
Case 0603 (1608 metric) 0603 Match
Capacitance 1 microfarad 1000nF Match, the export writes it in nanofarad
Tolerance plus or minus 10% +-10% Match
Dielectric X5R X5R Match
Voltage 25 VDC 25Vdc Match
Thickness 0.8 mm, plus or minus 0.1 mm 0.80+0.15/-0.10 Mismatch: the band is plus 0.15 and minus 0.1, not symmetric
Termination not stated on the page we read no value in the export Open: confirm on the datasheet

The string CC0603KRX5R8BB105 is not in the Walsin export and is not a Walsin number. The Walsin sheet for the general purpose series is WTC_MLCC_General_Purpose.pdf, which we hold.

Which Walsin rows answer a 1 microfarad, X5R, 10%, 25 V, 0603 line?

We parsed the 4,721 Walsin 0603 MLCC rows and found 52 at 1 microfarad, 23 of them X5R, 10 of those at plus or minus 10%, and 4 of those 10 rated 25 V or more: 0603X105K250, 0603X105K350, 0603X105K500 and SH18X105K250. We have not seen this counted anywhere.

Walsin part Series as exported Thickness, voltage On shelf 23 Sep 2026 Match / mismatch against the Yageo line
0603X105K250 General purpose 0.80+0.15/-0.10 mm, 25 V Yes Match on the five electrical fields; mismatch: thickness band
0603X105K350 General purpose no thickness listed, 35 V No Match on the electrical fields; open: length, width and thickness are blank in the export

SH18X105K250 Soft termination SH (Ag-poly) 0.80±0.30 mm, 25 V No Match on the electrical fields; mismatch: soft termination; thickness band 0.3 against 0.1
0603X105K160 General purpose 0.80+0.15/-0.10 mm, 16 V Yes Mismatch: voltage 16 V against 25 V

Our post on how to cross-reference an MLCC gives the method, and our MLCC range lists the series.

What does it mean when an export row lists no thickness?

It means the row cannot be checked for height from the export: 0603X105K350 is the only 35 V X5R 0603 part at 1 microfarad, and its length, width, thickness and termination fields are all blank, while its other fields read like its neighbours.

We found it by filtering the 0603 rows at 1 microfarad and reading every field. Its other fields read like its neighbours’, which is why it passes a filter on value, tolerance and voltage and then gives no answer on height. We will not tell you the part is thicker or thinner; we do not know. The honest step is to ask Walsin for the datasheet row for that exact number before you rely on it.

What does the Hong Kong shelf hold for this line?

As at 23 September 2026 our list holds 1,125 distinct part numbers, 155 of them in the 0603 MLCC export, and 1 of the 4 candidates for this line, 0603X105K250, is among them; the other 3 are factory orders.

0603X105K250 is the exact-voltage match, and 0603X105K160 is also on the list at 16 V. The ready stock list is a dated snapshot, never live-synced, and we quote part-number counts, never piece counts. Our post on Walsin passive components in Hong Kong stock explains how to read it. Shelf position changes, so treat the snapshot as a starting question for the quote, not as a promise of availability.

What will we not tell you about Tanzanian conditions?

We searched the text of all 28 Walsin datasheets we hold, 451 pages, for Tanzania, Africa and tropic, and found 0 matches. We therefore say nothing about climate, humidity or standards in Tanzania, and we give no legal, customs or conformity advice; confirm with your compliance team.

We hold no office, entity or stock in Tanzania; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. The export carries no termination, lifecycle or bias-curve field for these parts, and qualification stays with you.

Why do buyers in Tanzania choose Venatech?

Because the cross is honest, small-lot friendly and made in Hong Kong. Venatech Limited is an authorised Walsin distributor, and Walsin is the one line we call authorised; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply.

  • A tool that shows the mismatches. Paste the Yageo number into VenaMatch, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts. Here you see 4 candidates, with the thickness band and the blank-dimension row flagged, not hidden.
  • Range you can count. Walsin’s MLCC export lists 23,601 distinct part numbers, 4,721 of them in 0603, and 52 of those at 1 microfarad. A Tanzanian buyer sees X5R and X7R, plain and soft-termination, in one view.
  • A Hong Kong shelf and small lots. The exact 25 V match is on our dated ready-stock list, snapshot 23 September 2026, not live, and small lots welcome for prototypes and pilot runs.
  • Honest about gaps. We tell you which row lists no thickness and that we hold no bias curve. That honesty is part of the service.

How can Venatech help a Tanzanian buyer cross a Yageo part?

By showing the differences instead of hiding them, in small lots. Venatech Limited is an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong.

  • Cross-reference. Paste your Yageo number into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts, and read the Walsin candidates with each field marked match or mismatch.
  • BOM check. Upload the meter or control board’s bill of materials to /bom/, up to 500 part numbers or an Excel or CSV file.
  • Ready stock. The ready-stock list is a Hong Kong snapshot dated 23 September 2026, not live.
  • Service. Hong Kong-based, small lots, help with cross-referencing by hand when the tool returns no clean candidate, and a quote requested through the site.

Worked example from our own export: a Yageo 1 microfarad, 10%, X5R, 25 V, 0603 line maps to 0603X105K250, which is on our shelf, on five electrical fields with a different thickness band. Confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit.

The short version

For a Tanzanian buyer, a Yageo CC0603KRX5R8BB105 line finds 4 Walsin 0603 rows at 1 microfarad, X5R, 10% and 25 V or more, the exact match is on the Hong Kong shelf, and one candidate lists no dimensions at all in the export.

Send us one capacitor from a Tanzanian meter or control board and we will return the Walsin candidates with every difference stated and the stock position named. If an export row has blank dimensions, would you rather we flag it or quietly leave it out?

Frequently asked questions

What did the Nation report on Tanzania’s grid and trade plans?

An undated article citing events to 15 August 2026 reported about 4,646 MW of capacity, a Tanzania and Kenya electricity trade agreement signed in May 2026, and construction started on the 400 kV Chalinze to Dodoma line. It names no component. Confirm with TANESCO.

What is a Yageo CC0603KRX5R8BB105?

Yageo’s specification page, resolved on 2 November 2026, shows a 1 microfarad, plus or minus 10 percent, X5R, 25 VDC capacitor in 0603 with 0.8 mm thickness. It is not a Walsin number. Confirm against Yageo’s own datasheet.

How many Walsin rows match 1 microfarad, X5R, 10 percent, 25 V and 0603?

We counted 4 rated 25 V or more in the 23,601-part MLCC export: three general purpose rows at 25 V, 35 V and 50 V, and one soft-termination row at 25 V.

Is any candidate on the Hong Kong shelf?

Yes, one. As at 23 September 2026 0603X105K250, the exact 25 V match, is on our stock list. The other 3 candidates are not and would be quoted through the site. The list is a dated snapshot, never live-synced.

Why does one Walsin row list no thickness?

The export row for 0603X105K350 has blank length, width, thickness and termination fields, and we do not know why. Ask Walsin for the datasheet row for that exact part number.

Can Venatech advise on Tanzanian import rules?

No. None of the 28 Walsin datasheets we hold, 451 pages, mentions Tanzania, and we give no legal, customs or conformity advice. We hold no office, entity or stock in Tanzania. Qualification stays with you.
