An anti sulfuration resistor array is a strict subset, not a parallel shelf. We cross-checked all 2,772 rows of Walsin’s anti-sulfuration array file against all 7,250 rows of the plain array file. Every package-and-element-count pair the anti-sulfuration file offers already exists in the plain file; zero are exclusive to it. The plain file adds four more configurations the anti-sulfuration line never reaches.
Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds all 137 of Walsin Technology (Walsin)’s chip resistor export files. This post is measured from the two of those files whose name says “Array” — Thick_Film_Chip_Resistor_Array_Anti_Sulfuration__1of1.xlsx (2,772 rows) and Thick_Film_Chip_Resistor_Array__1of1.xlsx (7,250 rows) — and every part number below came out of one of them. We hold no datasheet for either array prefix, SA or WA.
How big is Walsin’s anti sulfuration resistor array file next to the plain one?
2,772 rows against 7,250 — the anti-sulfuration file is 38.2% the size of the plain one. We opened both files and counted every row and every distinct Series string. The anti-sulfuration file holds exactly 4 series, all built the same way: Convex Type construction, two element counts, two case sizes. The plain file holds 14 series across three element counts, three construction types (Convex, Concave and the separately-coded Flat Type) and three case sizes.
| File | Rows | Distinct series | Element counts | Construction types | Case sizes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Thick_Film_Chip_Resistor_Array_Anti_Sulfuration__1of1.xlsx |
2,772 | 4 | 2, 4 | Convex only | 0402, 0603 |
Thick_Film_Chip_Resistor_Array__1of1.xlsx |
7,250 | 14 | 2, 4, 8 | Convex, Concave, Flat Type | 0201, 0402, 0603 |
Which package and element-count pairs exist in both array files?
Four: 0402 with 2 elements, 0402 with 4, 0603 with 2 and 0603 with 4. We grouped every row of both files by package size and element count and compared the two sets directly. Those four pairs cover all 2,772 anti-sulfuration rows and 6,552 of the plain file’s 7,250 rows.
| Package / elements | In anti-sulfuration file | In plain array file | Shared? |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0402 × 2 | 693 rows | 256 rows | Yes |
| 0402 × 4 | 693 rows | 2,361 rows | Yes |
| 0603 × 2 | 693 rows | 291 rows | Yes |
| 0603 × 4 | 693 rows | 2,844 rows | Yes |
| 0201 × 2 | — | 194 rows | Plain file only |
| 0201 × 4 | — | 194 rows | Plain file only |
| 0602/0603 × 8 | — | 1,110 rows | Plain file only |
One real part number from each row above: SA06X10R0FTL (anti-sulfuration, 0603 × 4, 10.0 Ω, ±1%), WA04Y000 PTL (plain, 0402 × 2), WA02F100 JTL (plain, 0201 × 4, Flat Type, 10 Ω, ±5%) and WA06W000 PTLN (plain, 0602 × 8, the Size-disclosing twin). The last two sit in configurations the anti-sulfuration file does not offer at all.
Does the anti sulfuration array file offer a single configuration the plain file does not?
No. Zero of the anti-sulfuration file’s four package-and-element pairs are exclusive to it. We checked both directions of the comparison, not just one: every anti-sulfuration configuration is also a plain-array configuration, while the plain file adds three the anti-sulfuration line never reaches — the 0201 size entirely, and the eight-element 0602 family. This is the intersection the two published posts on these files, one on the anti-sulfuration resistor shelf and one on array versus discrete, did not run. We have not seen this specific cross-check made anywhere else.
The same one-way relationship holds on resistance values. We compared the distinct Resistance strings in both files. All 596 distinct resistance values in the anti-sulfuration array file also appear in the plain array file — 100%. The plain file carries 48 additional values the anti-sulfuration file never offers, out of 644 distinct values total.
| Measure | Anti-sulfuration array | Plain array | Overlap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Distinct resistance values | 596 | 644 | 596 shared (100% of anti-sulfuration’s set) |
| Values only in that file | 0 | 48 | — |
Do the two array files agree on resistance range at the configurations they share?
No, not at the top or the bottom. We pulled the resistance range for each of the four shared package-and-element pairs separately. At every one, the anti-sulfuration array’s non-zero floor is 10 Ω; the plain array reaches lower, down to 1 Ω at 0603 × 4 and 3 Ω at 0402. At the top, 0603 × 4 is where the two diverge hardest: the plain array reaches 10 MΩ, the anti-sulfuration array stops at 1 MΩ — a full decade lower on the one configuration both files carry the most rows of.
| Package × elements | SA anti-sulfuration resistance range |
WA/MA plain resistance range |
Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0402 × 2 | 10 Ω – 1 MΩ | 3 Ω – 1 MΩ | Mismatch at floor — plain reaches lower |
| 0402 × 4 | 10 Ω – 1 MΩ | 3 Ω – 1 MΩ | Mismatch at floor — plain reaches lower |
| 0603 × 2 | 10 Ω – 1 MΩ | 1 Ω – 1 MΩ | Mismatch at floor — plain reaches lower |
| 0603 × 4 | 10 Ω – 1 MΩ | 1 Ω – 10 MΩ | Mismatch at both ends — plain reaches a decade higher too |
A design that needs an anti-sulfuration array below 10 Ω, or above 1 MΩ at 0603 × 4, is asking for a part that exists in the plain array file and nowhere in the anti-sulfuration one.
Does the anti sulfuration array ever reach the plain array’s tightest TCR grade?
No. The plain array file’s ≦±100 ppm/°C grade sits on exactly one series — 571 rows of the non-automotive 0603 × 4, Convex type — and we have already published that count once. We checked the anti-sulfuration array file against that same grade and found zero rows at ≦±100 anywhere in it. The anti-sulfuration file’s tightest grade is ≦±200 ppm/°C, available only at the two 0603 pairs; at 0402 it widens further, to ≦±300.
| File | Tightest TCR available | Rows at that grade |
|---|---|---|
Plain array (Thick_Film_Chip_Resistor_Array__1of1.xlsx) |
≦±100 ppm/°C | 571, one series only |
Anti-sulfuration array (Thick_Film_Chip_Resistor_Array_Anti_Sulfuration__1of1.xlsx) |
≦±200 ppm/°C | 1,384 (0603 pairs only) |
Does Venatech hold a datasheet for either array family?
No. We hold 28 Walsin datasheets, 451 pages, and none carries the SA or WA prefix. Both resistor datasheets Venatech holds — Walsin_MR_Automotive_Thick_Film_Chip_Resistor.pdf and Walsin_WR_General_Purpose_Chip_Resistor.pdf — cover single-element discretes only. Every figure in this post is an export value from the two array files named above, not a datasheet value.
What should you check before specifying an anti sulfuration array?
Confirm the package, element count and resistance value against both files before assuming the anti-sulfuration line can cover a position the plain array fills, because three configurations and 48 resistance values exist only on the plain side.
- Check the package-and-element pair against both files, not just the one named for your requirement. 0201 and the eight-element family exist only in the plain array.
- Confirm the resistance value sits inside the anti-sulfuration array’s 10 Ω – 1 MΩ window, not the plain array’s wider 1 Ω – 10 MΩ range, before specifying the anti-sulfuration part.
- Cross the whole BOM at once on the free cross-reference tool. It decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers and matches against 800,000+ crossable Walsin part numbers, stating every field.
- Check ready stock before committing a footprint — a dated snapshot as at 23 September 2026, not a live feed.

The short version
Walsin’s anti-sulfuration resistor array is a subset of the plain array, not an alternative to it. All four of its package-and-element pairs — 0402 × 2, 0402 × 4, 0603 × 2 and 0603 × 4 — and all 596 of its distinct resistance values already exist in the plain array file. The plain file adds the 0201 size, the eight-element family and 48 resistance values the anti-sulfuration line never reaches, plus a ≦±100 ppm/°C TCR grade the anti-sulfuration array does not offer anywhere. We have not seen this specific intersection counted before.
Send us the array position you are trying to source in anti-sulfuration form, and we will tell you — before you commit a footprint — whether it exists on that shelf or only on the plain one.
For how array and discrete parts compare field by field, see Resistor array vs discrete. For the wider anti-sulfuration shelf across all five resistive prefixes, see Anti sulfuration chip resistor: 41,147 rows, only 850 resistance values. The full range is on the Walsin chip resistor range page.
Frequently asked questions
Does Walsin’s anti sulfuration resistor array offer any configuration the plain array file does not?
No. Every one of the anti-sulfuration array file’s four package-and-element pairs — 0402 × 2, 0402 × 4, 0603 × 2 and 0603 × 4 — also exists in the plain array file. The plain file adds three configurations the anti-sulfuration line never reaches: the 0201 size and the eight-element 0602 family.
What resistance values does Walsin’s anti sulfuration array cover that the plain array does not?
None. All 596 distinct resistance values in the anti-sulfuration array file also appear in the plain array file, a 100% overlap. The plain array file carries 48 additional resistance values, out of 644 distinct values total, that the anti-sulfuration array never offers.
Does a Walsin anti sulfuration array reach the same resistance range as the plain array at the same package?
No. At every one of the four shared package-and-element pairs, the anti-sulfuration array’s non-zero floor is 10 Ω while the plain array reaches as low as 1 Ω at 0603 × 4. At the top, the plain array reaches 10 MΩ at 0603 × 4 against the anti-sulfuration array’s 1 MΩ ceiling, a full decade lower.
What is the tightest TCR grade on a Walsin anti sulfuration chip resistor array?
±200 ppm/°C, available only at the two 0603 pairs; at 0402 it widens to ±300 ppm/°C. The plain array file offers a ±100 ppm/°C grade on 571 rows of one series, a grade the anti-sulfuration array does not reach anywhere in its 2,772 rows.
Does Venatech hold a datasheet for Walsin’s SA or WA array prefix?
No. Venatech holds 28 Walsin datasheets, 451 pages, covering MLCC and the two single-element chip resistor families MR and WR. None of the 28 covers the SA or WA array prefix, so every figure in this post is an export value rather than a datasheet value.
How many construction types does the anti sulfuration array offer compared to the plain array?
One. All four anti-sulfuration array series are Convex Type. The plain array file offers Convex, Concave and a separately-coded Flat Type construction across its 14 series, the Flat Type reserved for the 0201 size that the anti-sulfuration line does not cover at all.
What is the fastest way to confirm whether an anti sulfuration array covers your position?
Paste the part number or the full BOM into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers and matches against more than 800,000 crossable Walsin part numbers, stating every field including package, element count and resistance range rather than a single pass or fail verdict.
