Tunisia’s aerospace and automotive electronics plants that need a ceramic capacitor rated to 150 C have a short list. Of 23,601 Walsin MLCC part numbers, 235 use an X8G or X8R dielectric. Only 3 sit in an AEC-Q200 series, and as at 23 September 2026 three lines are on our Hong Kong shelf.
Tunisia now reports 650 million euro of aerospace exports and a national plan for electronics, so a purchasing engineer at a Tunisian harness, cable-assembly or avionics-subcontract site will meet the 150 C question soon. Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin Technology (Walsin) multilayer ceramic capacitor export: 24,026 rows, 23,601 distinct part numbers. This post is for that engineer. Every part number below is real, every count is ours, and every news statement names its source, its date and the day we fetched it, 23 October 2026.
What did Tunisia publish about aerospace and electronics in 2026?
Growth, and a plan. AllAfrica reported on 7 July 2026 that Tunisia’s aerospace exports reached 650 million euro, with more than 58 active companies and 20,000 jobs, most firms at the El Mghira site, figures given by the head of the investment promotion agency FIPA. The page names no component, no shortage and no supplier.
A second AllAfrica page, dated 22 August 2026 and first published in La Presse on 21 August, says industrial foreign investment rose 63 percent in 2025, that mechanical and electrical industries are overtaking textiles as the leading recipient, and that an electronics pact targets 5 billion dinars of exports and 10,000 skilled jobs by 2030. We draw no conclusion about which parts any Tunisian company buys and we have no relationship with any firm or agency named.
| Point | What the source says | Source date | Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aerospace exports | 650 million euro, 58 plus companies, 20,000 jobs | AllAfrica, 7 July 2026 | Mismatch with any component claim: no part named |
| Foreign investment | Industrial foreign investment up 63 percent in 2025 | AllAfrica, 22 August 2026 | Match for context only |
| Electronics pact | 5 billion dinars of exports and 10,000 skilled jobs by 2030 | AllAfrica, 22 August 2026 | Mismatch: a target, not a volume of parts |

How many Walsin MLCC rows use a 150 C class dielectric?
235 of 23,601. We parsed all 24,026 export rows, 23,601 distinct part numbers, and counted the X8G and X8R dielectric codes: 209 are X8G and 26 are X8R. 128 sit in the HT series, 104 in the RF series and 3 in the MT automotive series. The X8R rows are all HT, all 50 V, in 0603, 0805 and 1206, from 100 pF to 100 nF.
Three of the 235 are on our 23 September 2026 shelf: HT21G331K500, HT21G472K500 and RF21G8R2C251. The two HT lines are listed under a CT-suffixed order code. We have not seen this counted anywhere.
| Series | X8G | X8R | Stocked lines | Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HT (high temperature) | 102 | 26 | 2 | Match for a 150 C class; no AEC-Q200 wording on its sheet |
| RF (microwave) | 104 | 0 | 1 | Mismatch: a radio-frequency series |
| MT (AEC-Q200 compliant) | 3 | 0 | 0 | Match for automotive; mismatch: 3 rows, all 18 pF at 0402 |
| All other series | 0 | 0 | 0 | Mismatch: no 150 C class dielectric |
Which worked part numbers show the choices, and what differs?
Take the stocked 0805 line HT21G331K500: 330 pF, plus or minus 10 percent, 50 V, X8G, 0.60 mm. MT21N331J500 shares its size, value, voltage and thickness but is NP0, plus or minus 5 percent and AEC-Q200 compliant; its sheet rates NP0 to 125 C, not 150 C. The trade is temperature headroom for qualification wording. The last column is for your incumbent part.

Our high temperature MLCC to 150 C post describes the HT series, and the dielectric comparison covers NP0 and the other class codes.
What do Walsin’s documents say about aerospace?
Nothing, and about X8R very little. We converted all 28 Walsin datasheets we hold, 451 pages, to text: aerospace, avionic, satellite, ESCC and NASA appear in 0 of 28 files, military appears once and MIL-STD in 7 as a test method. The HT sheet lists X8G only, from 0.2 pF to 0.015 uF, at minus 55 to plus 150 C. It names X8R once, in a construction table, so the 26 X8R rows have no electrical data table on the sheet we hold.
The MT sheet lists X8G from 0.1 pF to 0.015 uF in five voltages, yet the export holds 3 MT X8G rows. A sheet range is not a stocked or orderable list.
What will we not tell you about Tunisia?
Anything about Tunisian, European or export-control rules. We hold no office, entity or stock in Tunisia; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We state no duty rate, export-control position, transit time or carrier, we give no legal or customs advice, and you should confirm with your compliance team. We make no claim that any Walsin part is approved for flight or defence use.
How Venatech helps
Start with the cross-reference. Paste your incumbent 150 C capacitor into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts and lists Walsin candidates with match and mismatch fields, or upload a list to the BOM checker, up to 500 part numbers or an Excel or CSV file. The Hong Kong ready-stock list is a dated snapshot, 23 September 2026, and is not live-synced. Walsin is the only line we are authorised for; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply. We work from Hong Kong, in small lots, and you can request a quote through the site. We offer lot and date-code traceability and a certificate of conformity per shipment on request. We hold neither ISO 9001 nor IATF 16949. The tables above came from our own export; the MLCC range lists the families. Qualification stays with you.
The short version
For a Tunisian site that needs a 150 C class capacitor, 235 of 23,601 Walsin part numbers qualify on dielectric, 3 are in an AEC-Q200 series and 3 are on our shelf. The 26 X8R rows lack a table on the sheet we hold, and 0 of 28 datasheets name aerospace. Confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit.
Send us one 150 C capacitor from your bill of materials and we will return the Walsin candidates with every difference stated. Is your limit the dielectric, the temperature, or the qualification wording?

Frequently asked questions
What did AllAfrica report about Tunisian aerospace in July 2026?
On 7 July 2026 it reported aerospace exports of 650 million euro, more than 58 active companies and 20,000 jobs, with most firms at the El Mghira site. The page names no component or shortage. We draw no conclusion about which parts any company buys.
How many Walsin MLCC part numbers use a 150 C class dielectric?
235 of 23,601: 209 are X8G and 26 are X8R. They sit in the HT series (128), the RF series (104) and the MT automotive series (3). As at 23 September 2026, three of them are stocked lines in Hong Kong.
Is there an AEC-Q200 Walsin capacitor rated to 150 C?
Only 3 export rows: MT15G180F500, MT15G180G500 and MT15G180J500, all 18 pF at 0402 and 50 V in X8G. The MT sheet describes AEC-Q200 compliance, not certification. Ask Walsin in writing for the qualification report covering the exact part number.
Do Walsin datasheets mention aerospace?
No. We converted all 28 datasheets we hold, 451 pages, to text. Aerospace, avionic, satellite, ESCC and NASA appear in 0 of 28 files. MIL-STD is named as a test method in 7. That is not a flight or space qualification.
Why do the 26 X8R rows lack data?
The HT sheet we hold gives its electrical table for X8G only. It names X8R once, in a construction table. The export lists 26 HT X8R rows, 50 V, 100 pF to 100 nF. Request the X8R data from Walsin in writing before design-in.
Do you give Tunisian customs or export-control advice?
No. We hold no office, entity or stock in Tunisia and state no duty rate, export-control position or transit time. We give no legal or customs advice; confirm with your compliance team. We supply parts from Hong Kong, in small lots, with lot and date-code traceability.
