Passive components for Poland’s appliance makers, sourced from Hong Kong, often come down to flex cracking on boards that carry mains-side ceramics. Matching our 23 September 2026 stock list to Walsin’s export, 61 of 149 stocked 200 V to 3 kV MLCC lines have a soft-termination twin on size, dielectric, capacitance, tolerance and voltage. Only 2 of those twins are on the shelf.
Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin Technology (Walsin) MLCC parametric export, file 00_ALL_MLCC_parts_combined.xlsx: 24,026 rows, 23,601 distinct part numbers. This post is for a purchasing or design engineer at a Polish white-goods plant, or at the EMS partner that builds its boards, who has a high-voltage ceramic on a board that bends during depaneling or fitting. Every part number below is real and every count is ours. The one development statement names its source, its date and the day we fetched it, 23 October 2026.
What does Poland’s appliance report say, and what does it leave out?
It gives volume and export share, and no component. The Polish government trade portal published a report dated 14 March 2024 on the 2023 results of the Polish household appliances industry: 26 million appliances made, almost 23 million of them large, about 90 percent exported, and about 40 percent of the EU’s large household appliances supplied from Poland. The same page ranks Poland first in the world for exported dishwashers (24 percent) and clothes dryers (31 percent).
That is the newest edition we could reach on 23 October 2026, so its figures are for 2023, not for the current year. The page names no electronic part, no shortage and no supplier, and we draw no conclusion about what any Polish plant buys. We have no relationship with the portal or with any manufacturer it covers.
| Point | What the source says | Source date | Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Output | 26 million appliances in 2023, almost 23 million large | 14 March 2024 | Match for context only: no bill of materials is described |
| Exports | About 90 percent exported, mainly to Germany, France and the UK | 14 March 2024 | Mismatch with any component claim: no part or volume is named |
| EU share | About 40 percent of large household appliances in the EU | 14 March 2024 | Match for context only |
| Rankings | First in the world for exported dishwashers and clothes dryers | 14 March 2024 | Mismatch: nothing on boards, ceramics or flex |
How many stocked mid-to-high-voltage MLCC lines have a soft-termination twin?
61 of 149. We joined our 23 September 2026 stock list to the MLCC export: 764 stocked lines have a row, and 149 of them sit in Walsin’s Middle to High Voltage series. A twin shares size, dielectric, capacitance, tolerance and rated voltage. 61 of the 149 have exactly one in the SH soft-termination series, and 36 of the 88 lines rated 630 V or above do. We have not seen this counted anywhere.
The twin is a catalogue match, not a swap. Soft termination adds a polymer layer to the end terminations. The export’s thickness field is written differently for 15 of the 61 pairs, and for 3 of those the SH row holds no thickness at all. Only 2 twins are themselves stocked: SH21B103K201 and SH32B473K631.
| Rated voltage | Stocked lines | With an SH twin | Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|
| 200 V | 11 | 5 | Match on five fields; mismatch on termination and series |
| 250 V | 31 | 13 | Match on five fields; mismatch on termination and series |
| 450 V | 1 | 0 | Mismatch: no SH row at this voltage and value |
| 500 V | 18 | 7 | Match on five fields; mismatch on termination and series |
| 630 V | 26 | 11 | Match on five fields; mismatch on termination and series |
| 1000 V | 34 | 18 | Match on five fields; mismatch on termination and series |
| 1500 V | 2 | 1 | Match on five fields; mismatch on termination and series |
| 2000 V | 14 | 4 | Match on five fields; mismatch on termination and series |
| 2500 V | 1 | 0 | Mismatch: no SH row at this voltage and value |
| 3000 V | 11 | 2 | Match on five fields; mismatch on termination and series |
Which worked part numbers show the twins, and what differs?
Take the stocked 1206 line 1206B103K631: X7R, 10 nF, plus or minus 10 percent, 630 V. SH31B103K631 shares its size, dielectric, capacitance, tolerance, voltage and printed thickness, 1.25 mm with a tolerance of 0.10 mm; what changes is the termination and the series. The table adds a taller twin, a shorter one, a twin with no thickness, and a line with none. The last column is for your incumbent part.

What do Walsin’s documents say about appliances?
Nothing by name. We converted all 28 Walsin datasheets we hold, 451 pages, to text and searched them: appliance, household, white goods, dishwasher and home appliance each appear in 0 of 28 files. The SH sheet (19_Soft_Term_SH), dated September 2026, lists power supplies, the lighting industry and other mechanical-stress products as applications.
The Middle and High Voltage sheet (04_Middle_and_High_Voltage), also dated September 2026, carries a warning that matters on a mains-side board: X7R capacitors in it are not intended for AC line filtering applications. A soft-termination twin does not change that sentence. Mains-rated safety capacitors are a different product line, covered in the S2 and S3 sheets.
What will we not tell you about Poland?
Anything about Polish or EU appliance, energy-label or product-safety rules. We hold no office, entity or stock in Poland; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We state no duty rate, customs procedure, transit time or carrier, and we give no legal or customs advice; confirm with your compliance team. We make no claim that any Walsin part is approved for any appliance.
How Venatech helps
We start with the cross-reference. Paste a capacitor line into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts and lists Walsin candidates with match and mismatch fields, or upload a list to the BOM checker, up to 500 part numbers. The Hong Kong ready-stock list is a dated snapshot, 23 September 2026, never live-synced. Walsin is the only line we are authorised for; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply. We work from Hong Kong, in small lots, and you can request a quote through the site. We offer lot and date-code traceability and a certificate of conformity per shipment on request. We hold neither ISO 9001 nor IATF 16949. The worked example above came from our own export; the MLCC range lists the families, and our note on voltage derating shows how to check a rating against your rail. Qualification stays with you.
The short version
For a Polish appliance board, the voltage rung decides whether a soft-termination option exists. 61 of 149 stocked mid-to-high-voltage lines have an SH twin, 36 of 88 at 630 V or above, 15 of the 61 print a different thickness, and only 2 twins are on the shelf. 0 of 28 Walsin datasheets name an appliance.
Send us one high-voltage capacitor line from your bill of materials and we will return the Walsin candidates with every difference stated. If a board bends in your line, would you rather change the termination or the depaneling?
