Sourcing Passive Components for Cambodian EMS Plants from Hong Kong: Electrical and Electronic Exports Rose 34 Percent in January to July 2026, and All 47 Walsin WR Zero-Ohm Jumper Part Numbers Print with a Space, While Only 4 Are on the Shelf

Sourcing passive components for Cambodia from Hong Kong starts with the cheapest line on any board, the zero-ohm jumper. We counted Walsin’s chip resistor export: all 47 WR jumper part numbers print with a space inside, a pasted number without it matches none, and 4 of the 47 are on our Hong Kong shelf.

Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin Technology (Walsin) chip resistor export of 234,815 rows, 234,401 of them distinct part numbers once embedded spaces are removed. This post is for a procurement engineer at a Cambodian electronics manufacturing services (EMS) plant who assembles boards from a bill of materials that always carries jumpers and wants a Hong Kong source in small lots. Every part number below is real, every count is ours, and the market figures are sourced and dated.

What do Cambodia’s electrical and electronic export figures say for a component buyer?

They say a young sector is growing fast from a small base. Vietstock reported on 13 August 2026, citing Cambodia’s General Department of Customs and Excise, that exports of electrical equipment and electronic components were 1.05 billion US dollars in January to July 2026, up 34% from 781 million in the same period of 2025. We read the report on 23 October 2026.

The same report says automotive parts, bicycles, vehicle tyres and processed wood also grew significantly, with no figures for them. It does not split the electrical equipment figure into assembled boards, components or finished goods. It also says nothing about garment-related electronics, and we found no sourced figure for them, so we leave that angle out.

Our view, labelled as ours: a plant that is adding board assembly buys the same unglamorous lines first. Resistors, capacitors and jumpers go on every bill of materials, and a mismatch in a jumper line stops a reel as surely as a mismatch in a controller.

How many Walsin WR zero-ohm jumper part numbers exist?

Forty-seven, and the sizes are not evenly covered. We parsed the Walsin chip resistor export for rows whose Tolerance field reads Jumper and whose part number starts WR: 47 distinct part numbers, 14 at 0201, 5 each at 0402, 0603, 0805 and 1206, 4 at 1210, 3 each at 2010 and 2512, 2 at 1218 and 1 at 01005. They fall into 4 series.

The four series are the general purpose, the general purpose automotive, the general purpose anti-sulfuration automotive and the general purpose LF 100 ppm. At 0402, 0603, 0805 and 1206 the five suffixes are PTL, PTLJ, PTLV, PTLZ and PTR. The suffix, not the size, decides the series. Our post on chip resistor jumpers and 0-ohm parts explains what the 000 code rates and what it does not.

Size WR jumper part numbers Stocked 23 September 2026 Stocked part (stock-list spelling)
0402 5 1 WR04X000PTL
0603 5 1 WR06X000PTL
0805 5 1 WR08X000PTL
1206 5 1 WR12X000PTL
0201 14 0 none
1210 4 0 none
2010, 2512, 1218, 01005 9 0 none

Why does a pasted jumper part number fail to match?

Because the export writes a space before the suffix. We counted the Part Number field of the 47 WR jumper rows: 47 of 47 contain a space, as in WR04X000 PTL, while our stock list prints the same part as WR04X000PTL. A lookup on one spelling returns nothing for the other.

We have not seen this counted anywhere: for a Cambodian EMS buyer whose bill of materials says WR04X000PTL, an exact search of the export returns none of the 47 jumper rows, although 5 exist at 0402. Across the whole export 414 of 234,815 rows are duplicates once spaces are removed, which is why we count 234,401 distinct part numbers. The cross-reference tool and the bill of materials check strip the space before matching. Our post on why Walsin part numbers do not paste into your BOM covers the wider pattern.

Which Walsin parts cross a 0402 zero-ohm jumper?

One matches on every field, and the others change the series. Say your board has a 0402 zero-ohm jumper rated 1/16 W with a plain general purpose series.

Walsin part (export spelling) Series (export) Rated power In stock 23 September 2026 Match / mismatch (0402, jumper, 1/16 W, general purpose)
WR04X000 PTL General purpose 1/16 W Yes Match on size, rated power and series
WR04X000 PTLJ General purpose (automotive) 1/16 W No Match on size and power; mismatch on series name
WR04X000 PTLV General purpose anti-sulfuration (automotive) 1/16 W No Match on size and power; mismatch on series: anti-sulfuration
WR04X000 PTLZ General purpose anti-sulfuration (automotive) 1/16 W No Match on size and power; mismatch on series: anti-sulfuration
WR04X000 PTR General purpose LF 100 ppm 1/16 W No Match on size and power; mismatch on series

The 1/16 W rating is the same across the five at 0402. It is not the same in every size: at 1210 the export lists WR10X000 PTL at 1/2 W and WR10X000 PTR at 1/3 W, and at 2010 WR20X000 PTL at 3/4 W and WR20X000 PTR at 1/2 W. So a suffix swap can change the power rating in the larger sizes. The rated current of a jumper is a separate matter; our post on zero-ohm jumper rated current from watts covers why the watts figure is not a current rating. Confirm against the Walsin datasheet and qualify in your own circuit.

What do we hold in stock, and what does our paperwork say about jumpers?

Four jumper lines of 254 chip resistors, and thin documentation. We counted our stock list as at 23 September 2026, 1,125 part numbers: 4 are WR zero-ohm jumper lines, and the word jumper appears in 2 of the 28 Walsin datasheets we hold, 451 pages, the WR and MR resistor sheets.

In those two sheets jumper appears as a resistance entry, a tolerance entry and a test-condition heading, and one sheet states that TCR is not applicable to the jumper product. Neither sheet is a statement about a plant, a line or an end use, and we make no end-use claim for any part. The stock list is a dated snapshot and moves. The ready stock page shows what is held in Hong Kong now, and we quote part-number counts, never piece counts.

How can Venatech help a Cambodian EMS buyer?

By removing the spelling trap, crossing the line you have already chosen and telling you what is missing. Venatech Limited is an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong. Walsin is our only authorised line, and the other lines we supply are Stackpole and Viking.

  • Cross-reference. Paste your incumbent number into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts, and read each Walsin candidate with match and mismatch stated field by field.
  • BOM check. Upload a bill of materials to /bom/, up to 500 part numbers or an Excel or CSV file, and have each line checked against the same engine, spaces included.
  • Ready stock. The ready stock list is a Hong Kong snapshot dated 23 September 2026, never live-synced.
  • Service. Hong Kong-based, small lots, cross-referencing help, and a quote requested through the site. Our address is Unit 207, 2/F, Sun Ling Plaza, 30 On Kui Street, Fanling, N.T., Hong Kong, telephone (852) 2628 4777.

A worked example from our own export: a “0R 0402 jumper” line maps to WR04X000PTL, which is stocked, and the same line written for an anti-sulfuration series maps to WR04X000 PTLV, which is a factory order. Our chip resistor range lists the families. Confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit. Check customs and origin rules with your compliance team; we give no legal advice.

The short version

Cambodia’s exports of electrical equipment and electronic components were 1.05 billion US dollars in January to July 2026, up 34%, per Vietstock on 13 August 2026. For a plant buying jumpers the useful number is smaller: all 47 Walsin WR zero-ohm jumper part numbers print with a space, 5 exist at 0402, and 4 of the 47 are on the shelf.

Send us the jumper lines from one bill of materials and we will return the Walsin parts with the differences stated. When your list has a space in some part numbers and none in others, how many of your lines would an exact search have missed?

How fast did Cambodia’s electrical and electronic exports grow in 2026?

Vietstock reported on 13 August 2026, citing Cambodian customs, that exports of electrical equipment and electronic components were 1.05 billion US dollars in January to July 2026, up 34% from 781 million a year earlier. The report does not split the total into boards, components or finished goods.

How many Walsin zero-ohm jumper part numbers start with WR?

Forty-seven. We parsed rows whose Tolerance field reads Jumper: 14 are 0201, 5 each are 0402, 0603, 0805 and 1206, 4 are 1210, 3 each are 2010 and 2512, 2 are 1218 and 1 is 01005. All 47 contain a space in the export.

Why does WR04X000PTL not match the Walsin export?

The export spells it WR04X000 PTL, with a space before the suffix, on all 47 WR jumper rows. Our stock list prints it without the space. Paste the number into the cross-reference tool, which strips the space, or search both spellings.

Which zero-ohm jumpers do you hold in Hong Kong stock?

As at 23 September 2026 we hold WR04X000PTL, WR06X000PTL, WR08X000PTL and WR12X000PTL, all general purpose series. The other 43 are a factory order. The ready stock page shows what is held now, and we quote part-number counts only.

Do your datasheets cover jumpers?

Partly. The word jumper appears in 2 of the 28 Walsin datasheets we hold, 451 pages, the WR and MR resistor sheets, as a resistance and tolerance entry and a test heading. We hold no sheet for the other resistor series, and qualification stays with you.

Can a different jumper suffix change the power rating?

Yes, in some sizes. The export lists WR10X000 PTL at 1/2 W and WR10X000 PTR at 1/3 W in 1210. At 0402 all five suffixes read 1/16 W. Check the rated power field for the exact suffix.
