RF components for India’s 5G network thin out sharply above 3 GHz in Walsin’s catalogue. We parsed all 457 RF rows against the ten bands India offered in 2022: 74 to 83 parts list a range at seven of them, 27 at 600 MHz, 7 at 3300 MHz and 0 at 26 GHz. None is on our 23 September 2026 shelf.
Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin Technology (Walsin) RF parametric exports: filters, baluns, couplers, multiplexers, SAW and BAW filters and antenna switches, 457 rows and 457 distinct part numbers. This post is for an engineer or buyer at an Indian telecom or networking manufacturer who searches the RF range for a cellular 5G part. Every part number below is real and every count is ours. Where it states a development, it names the source, the document date and the day we fetched it, 23 October 2026.
What does India’s telecom data say, and what does it leave out for a component buyer?
It says the network is large and the 5G fixed wireless segment is growing; it says nothing about components. TRAI’s June 2026 figures, reported on 29 July 2026, count 1,348.08 million telephone subscribers, 1,087.50 million broadband subscribers and 12.94 million 5G fixed wireless access connections, up from 12.73 million in May. The Department of Telecommunications notice inviting applications for the 2022 auction, reported on 16 June 2022, offered ten bands, including 3300 MHz and 26 GHz.
Neither source names a filter, a balun or a supplier, and we draw no conclusion about which parts any Indian manufacturer buys. We have no relationship with TRAI or the Department of Telecommunications.
| Point | What the source says | Source date | Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Subscribers | 1,348.08 million telephone, 1,087.50 million broadband, June 2026 | Fone Arena report of TRAI data, 29 July 2026 | Mismatch with any component claim: no part or volume is named |
| 5G fixed wireless | 12.94 million connections, 6.44 million urban and 6.49 million rural | Same report, 29 July 2026 | Match for context only |
| Spectrum offered, 2022 | 600, 700, 800, 900, 1800, 2100, 2300, 2500 and 3300 MHz, and 26 GHz | EE Times India, 16 June 2022 | Match on the 3300 MHz band we test below; mismatch: the page gives no block edges |
| Assignment term | 20 years | Same, 16 June 2022 | Mismatch: nothing about equipment sourcing |
How many Walsin RF parts list each band India offered in 2022?
74 to 83 at seven bands, 27 at 600 MHz, then a cliff. We parsed every frequency cell of all 457 RF rows and counted the parts whose listed range overlaps a band window by at least 50 MHz: 79 at 700 MHz, 83 at 800, 74 at 900, 78 at 1800, 79 at 2100, 76 at 2300 and 81 at 2500, but 27 at 600, 7 at 3300 and 0 at 26 GHz. The highest frequency in any of the 457 rows is 8,500 MHz.
The counts come from the seven export files (Walsin_Filter.xlsx, Walsin_Balun.xlsx, Walsin_Coupler.xlsx, Walsin_Multiplexer.xlsx, Walsin_SAW_Filter.xlsx, Walsin_BAW_Filter.xlsx and Walsin_Antenna_Switch.xlsx), as at the 23 October 2026 re-measure. The windows are ours, set to the usual cellular allocations, not licence edges, and the counts include wideband parts such as a 600 to 2700 MHz low-pass filter and antenna switches spanning 100 to 6000 MHz. Only 2 of the 7 parts at 3300 MHz are narrow-band, a filter and a balun. We have not seen this coverage curve counted anywhere.
| Band offered in 2022 | Our window, MHz | Parts listing a range overlapping it | Match / mismatch for a search by band |
|---|---|---|---|
| 600 MHz | 617 to 698 | 27 | Match on band; mismatch: thin shelf, mostly wideband parts |
| 700 MHz | 703 to 803 | 79 | Match on band |
| 800 MHz | 824 to 894 | 83 | Match on band |
| 900 MHz | 880 to 960 | 74 | Match on band |
| 1800 MHz | 1710 to 1880 | 78 | Match on band |
| 2100 MHz | 1920 to 2170 | 79 | Match on band |
| 2300 MHz | 2300 to 2400 | 76 | Match on band |
| 2500 MHz | 2496 to 2690 | 81 | Match on band |
| 3300 MHz | 3300 to 3670 | 7 | Mismatch: 2 narrow-band parts, 5 wideband or untagged |
| 26 GHz | 24250 to 27500 | 0 | Mismatch: no RF part above 8,500 MHz |
Do not search by the label. The Application field uses 5G for 5 GHz Wi-Fi on 108 of the 112 rows that contain it, and for cellular on 4.
Which Walsin RF parts touch the 3300 MHz band, and where do they differ?
Seven. Seven of 457 list a range touching 3300 to 3800 MHz: a low-pass filter and a balun tagged 5G (generation), one untagged balun, and 4 antenna switches. The band edges are our window, not a licence edge. None of the seven is on our shelf, and none of the 457 lists a frequency above 8,500 MHz.
The last column is for your incumbent part. The export gives no datasheet for any of them.

What do Walsin’s documents say about telecom infrastructure?
Nothing. We hold 28 Walsin datasheets, 451 pages, and 0 of them cover an RF part: 26 are MLCC and 2 are chip resistor. The 457 RF rows come from a parametric export only, so insertion loss, attenuation and the power column are Walsin’s listed values with no test conditions behind them on our desk.
We make no claim that any RF part is approved for base-station, small-cell or customer-premises equipment, and we hold no qualification report for one. The multiplexer export is also offset by one column from the pin description onward, a known defect in that export, so we do not quote its attenuation columns. Walsin’s wording for its own documents is the only reliable source; request them for the exact part number.
What will we not tell you about India?
Anything about Indian type approval, telecom equipment testing, duties or import procedure. We hold no office, entity or stock in India; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We give no legal, customs or compliance advice and state no duty rate or transit time; confirm with your compliance team. We make no statement about which equipment any operator deploys.
How Venatech helps
Start with the cross-reference. Paste your incumbent RF or passive part into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts and lists Walsin candidates with match and mismatch fields. Or upload a list to the BOM checker, up to 500 part numbers. The Hong Kong ready-stock list is a dated snapshot, 23 September 2026, never live-synced; it holds 1,125 part numbers, none of them RF. Walsin is the only line we are authorised for. We work from Hong Kong, in small lots, and you can request a quote through the site. We offer lot and date-code traceability and a certificate of conformity per shipment on request. We hold neither ISO 9001 nor IATF 16949. Qualification stays with you: confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit.
The short version
For an Indian buyer, Walsin’s RF line is deep below 3 GHz and thin above it. 74 to 83 parts sit at seven of the ten bands, 27 at 600 MHz, 7 touch 3300 MHz, 0 reach 26 GHz, and 0 are on our shelf. We hold no datasheet for any RF part.
Send us one RF line from your bill of materials and we will return the Walsin parts with every difference stated. If your design needs a band-pass at 3300 MHz, which of the two filter types is your incumbent?

Frequently asked questions
What do India’s June 2026 telecom figures say about components?
Nothing. TRAI data reported on 29 July 2026 counts 1,348.08 million telephone subscribers and 12.94 million 5G fixed wireless connections. No component, filter or supplier is named. We draw no conclusion about which parts any Indian manufacturer buys.
How many Walsin RF parts list the bands India offered in 2022?
We parsed all 457 RF rows against ten windows of our own. 74 to 83 parts list a range overlapping each of seven bands from 700 to 2500 MHz, 27 at 600 MHz, 7 at 3300 MHz and 0 at 26 GHz. The windows are ours, and wideband parts are included.
Does 5G in Walsin’s RF export mean cellular 5G?
Mostly not. 112 of 457 RF rows carry 5G in the Application field; 108 name a 5 GHz Wi-Fi band and 4 are cellular. Check the band column, not the tag, and confirm with Walsin for your exact part number.
Which Walsin RF parts list the 3300 MHz band?
Seven of 457 list a range touching 3300 to 3800 MHz: a low-pass filter, two baluns and four antenna switches. The window is ours, not a licence edge. None is on our 23 September 2026 shelf, and we hold no datasheet for any of them.
Does Walsin list any RF part for 26 GHz?
Not in the export. We parsed every frequency cell of all 457 rows and the highest listed value is 8,500 MHz, so 0 of 457 reach 26 GHz. Millimetre-wave parts are outside what we can offer from this line.
Do you hold datasheets for the RF parts?
No. We hold 28 Walsin datasheets, 451 pages, 26 MLCC and 2 chip resistor. The RF values are parametric export values only. Ask Walsin, through us, for documents on the exact part number before design-in.
Can Venatech advise on Indian import rules or equipment approval?
No. We hold no India office, entity or stock and give no legal or customs advice. Confirm duties, approvals and procedure with your compliance team. We supply parts from Hong Kong in small lots and can quote through the site.
