Yageo RC to Walsin for Taiwan: PMI Supplier Deliveries Stood at 68.6 in September 2026, and the Double-Power Tier Has an Exact Walsin Twin at 4 of 5 Sizes but 0 at 0603

A Yageo RC cross reference to Walsin for a Taiwan buyer hides a field: power sits in the reel code. Yageo’s datasheet lists two power tiers per size. At 10 kilohm and 1 percent, the higher tier has an exact-power Walsin twin at 4 of 5 sizes. At 0603 it has none: Walsin has no 1/5 W part there.

Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin Technology (Walsin) chip resistor exports: 137 files, 234,815 rows, 234,401 distinct part numbers once the embedded space that 39,576 rows carry is removed. This post is for a procurement or design engineer in Taiwan who has a Yageo RC number on a bill of materials and wants a second source on paper. Every Walsin part number is real. The Yageo numbers are the incumbent and are not in the export. We fetched every item on 23 October 2026.

What did Taiwan’s September 2026 PMI report that touches a resistor buyer?

A busy factory sector with longer deliveries. The September 2026 Taiwan Manufacturing PMI report, published by the National Development Council with CIER and SMIT, puts the headline at 63.4 percent, the fastest growth since August 2021, and the supplier deliveries index at 68.6, with delivery times lengthening for the twenty-second month running.

The report says that index reflects supply slowdowns, not an improvement. It names no component, no passive part and no company, and we draw no conclusion about resistors or any lead time from it. We have no relationship with the publishers.

Point What the source says Source date Match / mismatch
Headline PMI 63.4%, fastest growth since August 2021 NDC, CIER and SMIT, September 2026 report Match for context only
Supplier deliveries 68.6, lengthening for the 22nd month Same Mismatch with any component claim: no part is named
Industry readings Electrical and machinery equipment 64.4%; electronic and optical 62.6% Same Mismatch: no passive component figure is given

How does a Yageo RC number encode power, and what did the datasheet confirm?

In the reel code. Yageo’s RC datasheet, read on 23 October 2026, shows the number as series, size, tolerance, packaging type, reel and power code, resistance and L; code 07 is a 7-inch reel at standard power and 7W is a 7-inch reel at twice the standard power.

The same datasheet lists two rated powers for most sizes at 70 degrees Celsius: 1/16 and 1/8 W at 0402, 1/10 and 1/5 W at 0603, 1/8 and 1/4 W at 0805, 1/4 and 1/2 W at 1206, 1 and 2 W at 2512. Our fetch of the page gave the revision as version 14, with headers dated 14 November 2025. A resistance such as 10 kilohm is written 10K; tolerance F is plus or minus 1 percent, J is plus or minus 5 percent.

Which sizes have an exact-power Walsin twin at 10 kilohm and 1 percent?

Four of five. We parsed all 234,815 rows of Walsin’s chip resistor exports and filtered each size to 10,000 ohm, plus or minus 1 percent: exact base-power twins exist at all five sizes, 53 part numbers, and exact double-power twins at 0402, 0805, 1206 and 2512, 23 part numbers, but at 0603 the count is 0.

Size Yageo base and double power Walsin parts at base power Walsin parts at double power On the shelf, 23 Sep 2026 Match / mismatch
0402 1/16 W and 1/8 W 7 3 0 Match on size, value, tolerance, power; mismatch: double tier only in High Power group
0603 1/10 W and 1/5 W 13 0 1 (base) Match at base; mismatch at double: no 1/5 W row
0805 1/8 W and 1/4 W 11 8 1 (base) Match on four fields; mismatch: double tier 6 of 8 in High Power group
1206 1/4 W and 1/2 W 13 6 0 Match on four fields; mismatch: double tier all High Power group
2512 1 W and 2 W 9 6 0 Match on four fields; mismatch: double tier in High Power and Anti-Surge groups
Total 5 sizes 53 23 2

Walsin’s ceiling on every one of those 76 parts is plus or minus 100 ppm, tighter than the plus or minus 200 ppm Yageo prints for its double-power cells. That is a match in the safe direction, and still a difference to state. Our earlier post on crossing Yageo and KEMET chip resistors works at group level; this table adds the power tier.

What does the 0603 gap leave a buyer with?

Rated power steps that jump over the one you need. We counted all 42,374 Walsin 0603 rows: they use six rated powers, 1/16, 1/10, 1/8, 1/4, 1/3 and 1/2 W, and 1/5 W is not among them; at 10 kilohm and 1 percent the nearest steps are 1 part at 1/4 W and 3 at 1/3 W.

Walsin’s 1/5 W parts exist at 0402 only, which our post on chip resistor rated power steps already published. What we have not seen counted anywhere is the effect on a Yageo cross: the 1/5 W tier of RC0603 has no exact Walsin answer. The candidates all carry a different construction, not a free swap.

Walsin part Series group Rated power Match / mismatch against the RC0603 double-power tier (not in the export)
WR06X1002FTL General Purpose 1/10 W Match on size, value, tolerance, power at base tier; mismatch at double tier: half the power
MK06S1002FTL Anti-Surge 1/4 W Match on size, value, tolerance; mismatch: 1/4 W is 0.05 W above 1/5 W, anti-surge construction
MF06E1002FTL Anti-Surge 1/3 W Match on size, value, tolerance; mismatch: 1/3 W, anti-surge construction
WF06A1002FTL High Power 1/3 W Match on size, value, tolerance; mismatch: 1/3 W, High Power group, different series

A higher rated power is not a smaller risk for free: it changes the series, the construction and often the footprint stack-up. Whether the design needs 1/5 W, or only 1/10 W with margin, is your decision. We will not tell you a part is interchangeable. We will show you where it differs.

Which RC lines have a Walsin candidate on the Hong Kong shelf?

Two cells of ten. Matching our stock list as at 23 September 2026 to the 76 candidates, only WR06X1002FTL at 0603 and WR08X1002FTL at 0805, both base power, are on the shelf; no double-power twin at any size is.

The snapshot is dated, is not live, and counts part numbers, not pieces. The Hong Kong ready-stock list shows it. A plus or minus 5 percent line is a separate case: the RC0603JR 10 kilohm line, not in the export, maps to Walsin numbers that carry a space before the tolerance letter, as 39,576 resistor rows do, so a pasted number can fail to match; send it to us and we will map it by hand. Our post on chip resistor power ratings by case size shows the base powers. We state no price, lead time or stock guarantee.

What will we not tell you about Taiwan?

Anything about Taiwanese customs, trade or qualification rules. We hold no office, entity or stock in Taiwan; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We state no duty, customs procedure or transit time, and give no legal or compliance advice; confirm with your compliance team.

We hold no list of any maker’s affected parts and say nothing about the availability of any Yageo number. The WR datasheet we hold is ASC_WR_V24, dated September 2016, ten years old, and we hold no sheet for the High Power series. We hold neither ISO 9001 nor IATF 16949.

How Venatech helps

Start with the free tool. Paste an RC number into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts and lists Walsin candidates with match and mismatch fields, or upload up to 500 lines to the BOM checker. The ready-stock list is a dated snapshot, 23 September 2026, never live-synced.

Walsin is the only line we are authorised for; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply. We work from Hong Kong, in small lots, with cross-referencing help, and you can request a quote through the site. Lot and date-code traceability and a certificate of conformity per shipment are on request. The tables came from our own export; the chip resistor range lists the groups. Qualification stays with you: confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit.

The short version

Read the reel code before you cross an RC number: 07 and 7W are different powers. At 10 kilohm and 1 percent, Walsin has exact twins at both tiers for four sizes, 76 part numbers in all, and none at the 0603 double tier. Two of the 76 are on the shelf as at 23 September 2026.

Send us one RC line from your bill of materials and we will return the Walsin candidates with every difference stated. If your 0603 line really needs 1/5 W, will 1/4 W in a different construction pass your own review?

How do I cross a Yageo RC part number to Walsin?

Read size, tolerance, resistance and the reel and power code from the RC number, then filter Walsin’s export on size, resistance, tolerance and rated power. Power is the field most often missed, because the 7W code doubles it. A catalogue match is a candidate, not a qualification.

Does the Yageo RC reel code change the power?

Yes. In Yageo’s RC datasheet, code 07 is a 7-inch reel at standard power and 7W is a 7-inch reel at twice the standard power. At 0603 that is 1/10 W against 1/5 W. Confirm the cells in Yageo’s current PDF for your exact number.

Does Walsin make a 1/5 W 0603 resistor?

Not in the export. We counted 42,374 rows at 0603 and they use six rated powers: 1/16, 1/10, 1/8, 1/4, 1/3 and 1/2 W. At 10 kilohm and 1 percent, the nearest are MK06S1002FTL at 1/4 W and MF06E1002FTL at 1/3 W.

Which sizes have an exact double-power Walsin twin?

At 10 kilohm and 1 percent, 0402, 0805, 1206 and 2512: 23 part numbers, mostly in the High Power group. At 0603 there are none. None of the 23 is on our list as at 23 September 2026, a dated snapshot that is not live.

Does this say anything about Yageo supply?

No. We hold no affected-part list for any manufacturer and say nothing about the availability of any Yageo number. The Taiwan PMI report we cite names no component or company. Confirm availability with your own distributor.

Do you have a presence in Taiwan?

No. Our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We serve Taiwanese buyers from Hong Kong in small lots. We give no customs or compliance advice; confirm with your compliance team.
