Ghana has a 75 MW solar module assembly line out to tender, and a purchasing engineer at a Ghanaian module, controller or appliance assembly site will soon ask what a Hong Kong source can put in a small lot. What is planned for solar module assembly in Ghana?
A 75 MW assembly line. Ecofin Agency reported on 2 December 2025 that Germany’s KfW launched an international tender for a 75 MW solar module assembly facility in Kumasi, with delivery targeted for 2026 to 2027 if on schedule. ConstructAfrica separately lists a tender from Prefos Limited for a fully automated 75 MW manufacturing line covering cell processing, module assembly, lamination and testing; its page shows no date.
Neither page names a resistor, a controller or a supplier, and a module line itself buys few passives: the electronics sit in the inverters, charge controllers and appliances that follow. We draw no conclusion about which parts any Ghanaian company buys, and we have no relationship with KfW, Prefos or any firm named. For context only, the TaiyangNews report of 8 June 2026 on GOGLA data gives global off-grid appliance sales of 1.83 million units in 2025, down 8 percent, of which fans were 1.42 million.

How many E24 values does the 0805 and 1206 shelf cover?
38 of 169. We parsed all 234,401 distinct resistor part numbers and joined the stocked general purpose thick film lines to the export, as at 23 September 2026. The 0805 shelf holds 21 of the 169 E24 values from 1 ohm to 10 megohm, the 1206 shelf holds 23, only 6 sit at both sizes, and the two sizes together cover 38. Counting 0402 and 0603 as well, 86 values are held somewhere and 83 are held at none of the four sizes.
The export is complete by contrast: all 169 values exist at 0805 (9,551 general purpose rows) and at 1206 (9,831 rows). The shelf is a dated snapshot of part numbers, not a catalogue. We count a value once at any tolerance and exclude the zero-ohm jumpers. We have not seen this counted anywhere.

Which worked part numbers show the size ladder, and what differs?
Take 100 kilohm at plus or minus 1 percent: WR12X1003FTL at 1206 and WR08X1003FTL at 0805 are both stocked. They share value, tolerance and a 100 ppm ceiling; they differ in size and in rated power, 1/4 W against 1/8 W. The pairs below are the six-value overlap in its clean form, then two lines whose twin is in the export but not on the shelf. The last column is for your incumbent part.

Nothing. We converted all 28 Walsin datasheets we hold, 451 pages, to text: appliance and solar appear in 0 of 28 files. The general purpose resistor sheet we hold is ASC_WR_V24, dated September 2016, ten years old.
A sheet that does not name an application is not evidence against it, and it is not evidence for it. Venatech makes no application or qualification claim.

Only after a check. WR12X1003FTL and WR08X1003FTL share value, tolerance and a 100 ppm ceiling but differ in size and in rated power, 1/4 W against 1/8 W. Compare power and pulse load in your own circuit and qualify there.
