Kuwait solar and power electronics from Hong Kong need a current-sense cross that shows every difference. We resolved a Yageo RL0805FR-070R01L, a 10 milliohm, 1%, 0805 resistor, and found 6 Walsin Technology (Walsin) rows at the same value and tolerance. All 6 are rated for more power than the Yageo part, and none is on our shelf.
Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin chip resistor export of 234,815 rows, 28 Walsin datasheets (451 pages) and a stock list dated 23 September 2026. This post is for a design or procurement engineer at a Kuwaiti maker or integrator of inverters, chargers or power supplies who has a Yageo 10 milliohm sense resistor on a bill of materials and wants Walsin candidates in small lots from Hong Kong. Every Walsin part number is real, every count is ours, and the news statement names its source and the day we fetched it, 2 November 2026.
What did the June 2026 report say about Kuwait’s Shagaya solar programme?
SolarQuarter reported on 3 June 2026 that Kuwait expected to name a winner in the third quarter of 2026 for the 1.1 GW Al Dibdibah and Al Shagaya Phase III Zone 1 solar plant in Jahra governorate, with three consortia bidding, and that the bid deadline for the 500 MW Zone 2 plant had been pushed to 26 July 2026.
The article, which we fetched on 2 November 2026, says the request for proposals was issued in June 2025 and that seven companies and consortia were competing for Zone 2. It names no electronic component, supplier or bill of materials, so we draw no link between its numbers and any resistor. Our view, labelled as ours: a country adding gigawatt-scale solar will need inverters, chargers, meters and protection gear, and every one of them carries sense resistors that someone must source. We have no relationship with any bidder, developer or utility in Kuwait.
What does a Yageo RL0805FR-070R01L say, field by field?
Yageo’s own specification page for RL0805FR-070R01L, resolved on 2 November 2026, shows a 10 milliohm, plus or minus 1% chip resistor in 0805 (2012 metric), rated 0.125 W at 70 degrees with a temperature coefficient of plus or minus 1500 ppm per degree; the page lists no working voltage.
| Field | Yageo RL0805FR-070R01L (page value) | Walsin side (export) | Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Case | 0805 (2012 metric) | 0805(2012) |
Match |
| Value | 10 milliohm | 0.01Ω |
Match |
| Tolerance | plus or minus 1% | ±1% on 6 of the 11 rows at 10 milliohm |
Match on 6 rows; mismatch on the other 5 |
| TCR | plus or minus 1500 ppm | between ≦±50 and ≦±1000 on the 6 rows | Match, and tighter on all 6 |
| Power | 0.125 W at 70 degrees | 1/4 W, 1/3 W or 1/2 W or 3/4 W | Mismatch in the helpful direction on all 6 |
| Voltage | not listed on the Yageo page | no voltage column for resistors in the export | Open on both sides |
| Construction | not stated on the page we read | 3 metal-element rows, 3 thick-film rows | Open: confirm element type for your layout |
The string RL0805FR-070R01L is not in the Walsin export and is not a Walsin number.
Which Walsin rows answer a 10 milliohm, 1%, 0805 line?
We parsed the 38,044 Walsin 0805 chip resistor rows and found 11 at 10 milliohm, of which 6 are at plus or minus 1%: WW08RR010FTL, WW08DR010FTL, WW08DR010FTLJ in the metal low-ohm group and WW08CR010FTL, WW08WR010FTL, WW08WR010FTL FH in the thick-film low-ohm group. We have not seen this counted anywhere.
| Walsin part | Series group as exported | TCR, power | On shelf 23 Sep 2026 | Match / mismatch against the Yageo line |
|---|---|---|---|---|
WW08RR010FTL |
Metal low-ohm current sense | ≦±70, 1/2 W | No | Match on value, tolerance, case; mismatch: power 4 times the incumbent’s, metal element |
WW08DR010FTL |
Metal low-ohm current sense | ≦±50, 3/4 W | No | Mismatch: power 6 times the incumbent’s; TCR far tighter |
WW08DR010FTLJ |
Metal low-ohm current sense | ≦±50, 3/4 W | No | Mismatch: as the previous row; the J ending is not defined in the sheets we hold |
WW08CR010FTL |
Thick-film low-ohm current sense | 0 to 250, 1/3 W | No | Mismatch: power 2.7 times the incumbent’s; TCR is a one-sided range |
WW08WR010FTL |
Thick-film low-ohm current sense | ≦±1000, 1/4 W | No | Mismatch: power double; the closest TCR to the incumbent’s |
WW08WR010FTL FH |
Thick-film low-ohm current sense | ≦±1000, 1/2 W | No | Mismatch: power 4 times; the part number contains a space |
The other 5 rows at 10 milliohm are at plus or minus 5% or 0.5% and are not candidates for this line. Our post on low-ohm current sense thick film vs metal explains the two element types, and our chip resistor range lists the families.
How much current can each candidate carry at its rated power?
Rated power sets a ceiling on current at a fixed resistance: at 10 milliohm, 0.125 W allows about 3.5 A, and the six Walsin rows allow about 5 A (1/4 W), 5.8 A (1/3 W), 7.1 A (1/2 W) and 8.7 A (3/4 W).
This is our arithmetic, current equals the square root of power divided by resistance, applied to the power values in the export. It ignores heat sinking, board copper and derating, which decide the real limit and which are the engineer’s to qualify. We hold no datasheet for any of these six rows, so we cannot give a derating curve. The useful point is smaller: a higher-rated power is not a free upgrade, because a part with 6 times the power rating can be the right choice for headroom or the wrong one if the layout assumed the Yageo’s land pattern and temperature rise.
What does the Hong Kong shelf hold for this line?
As at 23 September 2026 our list holds 1,125 distinct part numbers, 254 of them chip resistors, and none of the 6 candidates is among them; the only low-ohm family on the list is WW08WR270FTL, WW08WR390FTL and WW08WR470FTL, at other values.
Those three are WW-prefix thick-film sense resistors at 270, 390 and 470 milliohm, so they are not candidates for a 10 milliohm line. The ready stock list is a dated snapshot, never live-synced, and we quote part-number counts, never piece counts. Our post on Walsin passive components in Hong Kong stock explains how to read it. A line off the shelf is a factory order, requested through the site.
What will we not tell you about Kuwaiti conditions?
We searched the text of all 28 Walsin datasheets we hold, 451 pages, for Kuwait, Gulf, desert and Middle East, and found 0 matches. We therefore say nothing about heat, dust or site conditions in Kuwait, and we give no legal, customs or conformity advice; confirm with your compliance team.
We hold no office, entity or stock in Kuwait; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We hold 2 chip resistor datasheets, WR and MR, and none for the low-ohm current sense families, so every figure for these six rows comes from the export alone. The export carries no working voltage and no thickness for resistors.
Why do buyers in Kuwait choose Venatech?
Because the cross is honest, small-lot friendly and made in Hong Kong. Venatech Limited is an authorised Walsin distributor, and Walsin is the one line we call authorised; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply.
- A tool that shows the mismatches. Paste the Yageo number into VenaMatch, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts. You see the Walsin candidates field by field. Here that means 6 candidates in 2 element families, each with its power and TCR stated, not one confident guess.
- Range you can count. Walsin’s 0805 chip resistor export holds 38,044 rows, and the low-ohm sense families alone offer 11 rows at 10 milliohm, 6 at 1%. A Kuwaiti buyer designing a current-sense stage gets room to choose headroom deliberately.
- A Hong Kong shelf and small lots. A dated ready-stock list, snapshot 23 September 2026, not live, and small lots welcome for prototypes and pilot runs.
- Honest about gaps. We say plainly that we hold no datasheet for the low-ohm families. That honesty is part of the service.
How can Venatech help a Kuwaiti buyer cross a Yageo part?
By showing the differences instead of hiding them, in small lots. Venatech Limited is an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong.
- Cross-reference. Paste your Yageo number into the free cross-reference tool and read the Walsin candidates with each field marked match or mismatch.
- BOM check. Upload the inverter or charger bill of materials to /bom/, up to 500 part numbers or an Excel or CSV file.
- Ready stock. The ready-stock list is a Hong Kong snapshot dated 23 September 2026, not live.
- Service. Hong Kong-based, small lots, help with cross-referencing by hand when the tool returns no clean candidate, and a quote requested through the site.
Worked example from our own export: a Yageo 10 milliohm, 1%, 0805 line maps to WW08WR010FTL if you want the closest TCR and accept double the power rating, and to WW08DR010FTL if you want a metal element with 3/4 W. Confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit.
The short version
For a Kuwaiti buyer, a Yageo RL0805FR-070R01L line finds 6 Walsin 0805 rows at 10 milliohm and 1%, in a metal and a thick-film family, every one rated for more power than the Yageo part and none on the Hong Kong shelf.
Send us one sense resistor from a Kuwaiti inverter or charger bill of materials and we will return the Walsin candidates with every difference stated and the stock position named. If your layout assumed 0.125 W, how much extra power rating is a safe upgrade and how much is a new thermal problem?

Frequently asked questions
What did SolarQuarter report on Kuwait’s Shagaya solar projects?
On 3 June 2026 it reported that a winner for the 1.1 GW Zone 1 plant was expected in the third quarter of 2026 and that the 500 MW Zone 2 bid deadline had moved to 26 July 2026. The article names no electronic components. Confirm current status with official sources.
What is a Yageo RL0805FR-070R01L?
Yageo’s specification page, resolved on 2 November 2026, shows a 10 milliohm, plus or minus 1 percent, 0805 chip resistor rated 0.125 W at 70 degrees with a plus or minus 1500 ppm temperature coefficient. It is not a Walsin number. Confirm against Yageo’s own datasheet.
How many Walsin rows match 10 milliohm, 1 percent and 0805?
We counted 6 in the 234,815-row chip resistor export: 3 metal low-ohm rows and 3 thick-film low-ohm rows. A further 5 rows at 10 milliohm carry plus or minus 5 or 0.5 percent tolerance and are not candidates for this line.
Is a higher power rating a safe upgrade?
Not automatically. All 6 Walsin rows list 1/4 W to 3/4 W against the Yageo 0.125 W, which helps headroom, but board copper, land pattern and temperature rise decide the real limit. Qualify the part in your own circuit.
Is any candidate on the Hong Kong shelf?
No. As at 23 September 2026 none of the 6 candidate part numbers is on our stock list, so each is a quote requested through the site. The list is a dated snapshot and is never live-synced.
Can Venatech advise on Kuwaiti import rules or site conditions?
No. None of the 28 Walsin datasheets we hold, 451 pages, mentions Kuwait or the Gulf, and we give no legal, customs or conformity advice. We hold no office, entity or stock in Kuwait. Qualification stays with you.
