Power and Industrial Electronics for Laos from Hong Kong: Electricite du Laos Reported 26.67 Billion kWh in Six Months, and a Yageo RC2010FK-07220RL Line Finds 4 Walsin 2010 Rows at the Same 3/4 W, None of Them on Our Shelf

A Yageo RC2010FK-07220RL line in Laos, a 220 ohm, plus or minus 1 percent, 100 ppm chip resistor in 2010 rated 0.75 W, has 4 Walsin rows that match on size, value, tolerance, temperature coefficient and rated power: WR20X2200FTL, MR20X2200FTL, SR20X2200FTL and SR20X2200FTLW. None is on our Hong Kong shelf as at 23 September 2026.

Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin Technology (Walsin) chip resistor export export: every 2010 row with 220 ohm and plus or minus 1 percent tolerance, 16 in all. This post is for a buyer or design engineer at a Lao power-electronics, metering or industrial-control assembler whose bill of materials names a Yageo part and who wants a Walsin candidate with every difference stated. We read Yageo’s own specification page for the number on 2 November 2026 and compared it with the Walsin export field by field. Every Walsin part number below is real and every count is ours.

What did Electricite du Laos report, and what does it not say?

Electricite du Laos (EDL) reported 26.67 billion kWh of generation in January to June 2026, up 8.6 percent, worth about 1.6 billion US dollars, against a 2026 target of 58 billion kWh, as reported by The Star on 17 August 2026. The report is about generation and export earnings, not about resistors, metering hardware or any named assembler, and we draw no conclusion about demand for any component. We have no relationship with EDL.

What does Yageo’s RC2010FK-07220RL actually specify?

Yageo’s specification page for RC2010FK-07220RL lists 220 ohm, plus or minus 1 percent, 100 ppm per degree C, 0.75 W, 200 V maximum working voltage, EIA 2010. The number reads as RC for the chip-resistor family, 2010 for the case, F for plus or minus 1 percent, K for 100 ppm, and 220R as the value. We hold no Yageo catalogue beyond that page and make no statement about any Yageo part’s status. Source: Yageo specification page for RC2010FK-07220RL, fetched 2 November 2026.

Which Walsin rows match it on power, and which only look close?

Four rows match on size, value, tolerance, temperature coefficient and rated power of 3/4 W: WR20X2200FTL, MR20X2200FTL, SR20X2200FTL and SR20X2200FTLW. The other 12 of the 16 Walsin rows change the power, the temperature coefficient or both. The 16 rows split by rated power as 5 at 1/2 W, 4 at 3/4 W, 5 at 1 W and 2 at 1.5 W. WR20X2200FTL is the General Purpose series; MR and SR carry automotive labels in the export, a different grade class from a commercial RC part, which we have not compared. Maximum working voltage is printed on the Yageo page (200 V) but is not a column in our export, so we state no Walsin voltage here; read it on the General Purpose approval sheet (ASC_WR_V24, September 2016, for the 2010 case) before you swap. None of the 16 rows is on the Hong Kong list dated 23 September 2026.

What does each row change against the 0.75 W line?

Rated power and temperature coefficient are the two fields that move. Of the 7 Walsin rows shown, three match all compared fields, two are higher in power, and two are lower in power or looser in temperature coefficient.

Walsin part Series Size, value, tolerance, power Match / mismatch against the Yageo line On the 23 September 2026 list Your incumbent
WR20X2200FTL General Purpose 2010, 220 ohm, plus or minus 1%, 3/4W Match on size, value, tolerance, TCR, power No
SR20X2200FTL General Purpose (automotive label, anti-sulfuration) 2010, 220 ohm, plus or minus 1%, 3/4W Match on size, value, tolerance, TCR, power No
MR20X2200FTL General Purpose (automotive label) 2010, 220 ohm, plus or minus 1%, 3/4W Match on size, value, tolerance, TCR, power No
WF20P2200FTL High Power 2010, 220 ohm, plus or minus 1%, 1W Match on size, value, tolerance, TCR; mismatch on rated power higher (1W against 0.75 W) No
WF20A2200FTL High Power 2010, 220 ohm, plus or minus 1%, 1.5W Match on size, value, tolerance, TCR; mismatch on rated power higher (1.5W against 0.75 W) No
WR20X2200FTR General Purpose 2010, 220 ohm, plus or minus 1%, 1/2W Match on size, value, tolerance, TCR; mismatch on rated power lower (1/2W against 0.75 W) No
WK20V2200FTL High Voltage 2010, 220 ohm, plus or minus 1%, 1/2W Match on size, value, tolerance; mismatch on TCR up to 200 against 100 ppm; rated power lower (1/2W against 0.75 W) No

Higher power is not automatically a better swap: a 1 W or 1.5 W part may differ in series, body build or approval, so the row is a candidate for review, not a substitution. The shelf is a dated snapshot, never live stock, and none of these rows is on it.

What will we not tell you about Laos?

Anything about Laos customs, duties, certification or procurement rules. We hold no office, entity or stock in Laos; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We state no duty rate, transit time or carrier, and we give no legal or customs advice; confirm with your compliance team.

Why buyers in Laos choose Venatech

Lao buyers get a candidate and its differences in one reply. Venatech is an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong; confirm that with Walsin. VenaMatch decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts, and for this line it found four matching Walsin rows on every compared field and twelve near-misses, each with the changed field named. Small lots are welcome, the service is Hong Kong-based, and the ready-stock list is dated 23 September 2026. None of the matching 2010 rows is on that list, and we say so plainly rather than imply stock; a quote request tells you what can be sourced. We also tell you what we do not hold: 84.2 percent of the 359,135 Walsin part numbers in our exports have no datasheet on file, and we say so instead of guessing. Ask for any of the 28 datasheets we hold (451 pages) and it comes by email.

How Venatech helps

Paste the incumbent number into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts and lists Walsin candidates with match and mismatch fields, or upload the list to the BOM checker, up to 500 part numbers. The Hong Kong ready-stock list is a dated snapshot, 23 September 2026, never live-synced. Walsin is the only line we are authorised for; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply. We work from Hong Kong, in small lots, and you can request a quote through the site. We offer lot and date-code traceability and a certificate of conformity per shipment on request. We hold neither ISO 9001 nor IATF 16949. Worked example from our exports: paste RC2010FK-07220RL and VenaMatch returns the four 3/4 W Walsin rows as candidates with the 1/2 W, 1 W and 1.5 W rows listed beneath them. The chip resistor range lists the families, our post on chip resistor power rating by case size and WR and MR series compared field by field cover the neighbouring fields. Qualification stays with you.

The short version

One Yageo line, four Walsin rows at the same 3/4 W. WR20X2200FTL is the general purpose candidate; the MR and SR rows carry automotive labels. The other 12 rows change power or temperature coefficient, and none of the 16 is on the 23 September 2026 list.

Send us one 2010 resistor line from your bill of materials and we will return the Walsin rows with every difference stated. Does your circuit need the full 0.75 W, or does it dissipate well under that?

What did Laos report in the source you cite?

The Star reported on 17 August 2026 that Electricite du Laos generated 26.67 billion kWh in January to June 2026, up 8.6 percent, against a 2026 target of 58 billion kWh. The report does not mention resistors, and we draw no conclusion about any company.

Which Walsin part crosses to Yageo RC2010FK-07220RL?

Four Walsin rows match on size, value, tolerance, temperature coefficient and 3/4 W rating: WR20X2200FTL, MR20X2200FTL, SR20X2200FTL and SR20X2200FTLW. Confirm voltage and grade on the datasheets and qualify the swap in your own circuit.

Are any of the Walsin rows on your shelf?

No. None of the 16 Walsin 2010, 220 ohm, plus or minus 1 percent rows is on the Hong Kong list dated 23 September 2026. The list is a snapshot, not live. Request a quote through the site to ask what can be sourced.

What if my circuit dissipates less than 0.75 W?

Five Walsin rows are rated 1/2 W, for example WR20X2200FTR. They are lower in rated power than the Yageo line, so whether they suit depends on your own dissipation and derating calculation, which we do not make for you.

Does Walsin match the 200 V rating?

Our export has no voltage column, so we do not state a Walsin working voltage for these rows. Read it on the approval sheet and compare it with the 200 V on Yageo’s page before any swap.

Do you ship to Laos or state its import rules?

We ship from Hong Kong and state no duty, customs, certification or transit information for Laos. We hold no office or stock there and give no legal or customs advice; confirm with your compliance team.
