Mining instrumentation electronics in Peru rarely arrive with one maker’s part numbers. We decoded ten lines from six makers: they collapse to 8 plain Walsin candidates, 3 on our 23 September 2026 Hong Kong stock list. One 10 kilohm resistor line, written three different ways, returns 34 Walsin rows in 24 series.
Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin Technology (Walsin) MLCC export of 24,026 rows (23,601 distinct part numbers), the chip resistor exports of 234,815 rows (234,401 distinct), and a Hong Kong ready-stock list dated 23 September 2026. This post is for a procurement or design engineer at a Peruvian maker of transmitters, data loggers, weighing and monitoring electronics for mines, who inherited a bill of materials in other makers’ numbers and needs to know what a Hong Kong source can quote against it. Every Walsin part number below is real and every count is ours.
What is happening to copper output in Peru in 2026?
It is edging up, and one mine moved the total. Shanghai Metals Market, relaying Peru’s Ministry of Energy and Mines, reported on 6 October 2026 that national copper output for January to July 2026 was 1,599,115 tonnes, up 2.2% on the same months of 2025, with July alone at 236,515 tonnes, up 3.7%. We read the report on 23 October 2026.
The same report says one operation, Antamina, produced 297,145 tonnes through July, up 54%, which is 14.3% of the national total.
Our view, labelled as ours: a mine that produces more runs more sensors, loggers and drives, and every one of them has a bill of materials. We cannot see any mine’s purchasing, and we claim none. The point of this post is the bill of materials itself.
Why is a mixed-brand bill of materials the real cross-reference problem?
Because each maker writes the same fact in a different place. In our ten lines, 0805 is the code 21 in the Murata and Samsung numbers but a literal 0805 in the Yageo resistor number, while 0603 is a literal at Vishay, 1J at KOA and 3 in Panasonic’s ERJ-3, and 25 V is 1E at Murata, A at Samsung and 8 at Yageo. A buyer who pastes ten numbers into a spreadsheet filter gets ten different shapes of question.
So we did the reading first. For each line we wrote down only the fields that the number itself prints: case size, dielectric or resistor family, value, tolerance and, for capacitors, rated voltage. Then we searched the Walsin exports on exactly those fields and nothing else. We do not state any incumbent’s power, temperature coefficient or thickness, because those belong to the incumbent’s own datasheet.
What do ten incumbent lines become in the Walsin export?
Eight plain candidates for ten lines. We parsed the exports on case size, dielectric, capacitance, rated voltage and tolerance for six capacitor lines, and on case size, resistance and tolerance for four resistor lines: every line has at least one Walsin row, 8 distinct general purpose parts cover the ten lines, and 3 of those 8 are on the 23 September 2026 stock list. We have not seen a bill of materials triaged this way anywhere.
| Incumbent line (as written) | Fields the number prints | Walsin rows on those fields | Plain Walsin candidate | On shelf, 23 Sep 2026 | Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Murata GRM21BR71E225KA73L | 0805, X7R, 2.2 µF, 25 V, ±10% | 3 rows, 3 series | 0805B225K250 |
No | Match on all five printed fields. Mismatch or open: height (export 1.25 ±0.20 mm), bias behaviour, series. TT21B225K250 is 0.85 mm; SH21B225K250 has soft termination |
| Samsung CL21A106KOQNNNE | 0805, X5R, 10 µF, 16 V, ±10% | 2 rows, 2 series | 0805X106K160 |
Yes | Match on five fields. Open: height, bias. TT21X106K160 is the low-profile row |
| Samsung CL10A475KP8NNNC | 0603, X5R, 4.7 µF, 10 V, ±10% | 3 rows, 3 series | 0603X475K100 |
No | Match on five fields. Open: height (export 0.80 mm nominal band); TT18X475K100 is 0.50 mm |
| Samsung CL05A105KA5NQNC | 0402, X5R, 1 µF, 25 V, ±10% | 1 row, 1 series | 0402X105K250 |
No | Match on five fields. Open: height, bias. Only one Walsin row exists |
| Murata GRM155R71H223KA12D | 0402, X7R, 22 nF, 50 V, ±10% | 2 rows, 2 series | 0402B223K500 |

Yes | Match on five fields. A third part, MG18B105K250, is hidden from a ±10% filter because its tolerance cell reads -0.1 |
| Vishay CRCW060310K0FKEA | 0603, 10 kΩ, ±1% | 34 rows, 24 series | WR06X1002FTL |

| Yageo RC0805FR-074K99L | 0805, 4.99 kΩ, ±1% | 26 rows, 16 series | WR08X4991FTL |
No | Match on size, value, tolerance. Open: power, TCR, voltage, family |
Three things stand out. First, the three 10 kilohm lines from three makers are one Walsin question, so a buyer who quotes them separately triples the work. Second, five of the ten lines (the three resistor lines at 10 kilohm, the 10 µF line and the 1 µF 0603 line) have their plain candidate on the shelf. Third, the capacitor lines each return one to three rows, so the choice is usually between a standard part, a low-profile part, a soft-termination part or an automotive-series part, and the number alone does not say which you meant.
Why does one 10 kilohm resistor return 34 Walsin rows?
Because the three printed fields describe a whole population, not a part. We counted every Walsin row at 0603, 10 kΩ and ±1% across the resistor exports: 34 rows in 24 series and 7 series groups, and exactly one of them is the plain general purpose WR06 part. The other 33 are automotive-labelled, anti-sulfuration, high power, high precision, high voltage, surge, low-ppm and array variants.
Eight of the 34 are resistor arrays, which are not single resistors at all: WA06X1002FTL and its siblings are multi-resistor packages and cannot sit on a single-resistor footprint. For 4.99 kΩ at 0805 the same search returns 26 rows in 16 series, and one is the plain part. An engineer who searches by value, size and tolerance and takes the first row can land on an anti-surge part rated 1/4 W when the board was designed around 1/10 W, or on a high-precision part with a tighter TCR than the circuit needs. Neither is wrong; both are different products.
This is the argument for crossing by family, not by value. The plain row, WR06X1002FTL, is on our shelf. The automotive-labelled WR06X1002FTLJ is the same value with a trailing letter, and MR06X1002FTL is a separate automotive series at a different rated power in the export. That is a choice for your qualification plan.
What do the Walsin resistor datasheets we hold say about the choice?
Less than a buyer needs, and we say so. We opened both Walsin resistor datasheets we hold, 20 pages in all: the general purpose WR sheet is revision ASC_WR_V24 of September 2016 and never mentions AEC-Q200 or automotive use, while the MR automotive sheet is ASC_MR_V13 of March 2024. The WR sheet covers 1206, 0805, 0603 and 0402; the MR sheet covers 1210, 1206, 0805, 0603 and 0402.
The MR sheet states automotive AEC-Q200 compliance and sulfuration resistance, and lists rated power by size: 1/4 W at 0805, 1/8 W at 0603 and 1/10 W at 0402. The WR sheet lists 1/8 W, 1/10 W and 1/16 W at the same three sizes. That is a documented difference: for the same 0603 value, the automotive series is rated 1/8 W and the general purpose series 1/10 W.
Venatech holds neither ISO 9001 nor IATF 16949, and we say so plainly. We can supply the datasheets we hold on request, lot and date-code traceability, and a certificate of conformity per shipment on request. We give no customs, tax or import advice for Peru and state no country of origin for any part, because none of the documents we hold names a manufacturing site. Ask your compliance team.
How can Venatech help a Peru mining instrumentation buyer?
By turning ten dialects into one list and telling you what is missing from each line. Venatech Limited is an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong. Walsin is our only authorised line; the other lines we supply are Stackpole and Viking.
- Cross-reference. Paste the incumbent numbers into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts, and read each Walsin candidate with match and mismatch stated field by field.
- BOM check. Upload the whole bill of materials to /bom/ and have every line checked against the same engine, up to 500 part numbers or an Excel or CSV file.
- Ready stock. The ready stock list is a Hong Kong snapshot dated 23 September 2026, never live-synced. It holds 1,125 lines, and it moves.
- Service. Hong Kong-based, small lots, cross-referencing help, and a quote requested through the site. Unit 207, 2/F, Sun Ling Plaza, 30 On Kui Street, Fanling, N.T., Hong Kong, telephone (852) 2628 4777.
A worked example from our own exports: the Vishay, KOA and Panasonic 10 kilohm 0603 ±1% lines all resolve to WR06X1002FTL, which is on the shelf, with 33 other rows available if your circuit needs a different family. Our MLCC range lists the capacitor families, and our post on reading a cross result explains the five-field check. Confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit.
The short version
Peru’s copper output rose 2.2% to 1,599,115 tonnes in January to July 2026, per the ministry as relayed on 6 October 2026. A ten-line bill of materials in six makers’ numbers becomes 8 plain Walsin candidates, 3 on the shelf, and one 10 kilohm 0603 line returns 34 rows in 24 series, of which one is the plain part.
Send us your instrumentation bill of materials as it is, in whatever makers’ numbers it came, and we will return one Walsin candidate per line with every open field named. How many of your lines are really the same question?

Frequently asked questions
How much copper did Peru produce in January to July 2026?
Shanghai Metals Market, relaying Peru’s Ministry of Energy and Mines on 6 October 2026, reported 1,599,115 tonnes, up 2.2% on the same months of 2025. It is one trade-press relay, so check the ministry’s own tables before you quote it.
How do I cross a Murata, Samsung or Yageo capacitor to Walsin?
Read the fields the number prints: case size, dielectric, capacitance, rated voltage and tolerance. Search the Walsin export on those five fields. Our six capacitor lines returned one to three Walsin rows each. Then compare height, bias behaviour and series on both datasheets.
Why does a 10 kilohm 0603 resistor return 34 Walsin rows?
Size, value and tolerance describe a population. We counted 34 rows in 24 series at 0603, 10 kΩ and ±1%, including automotive, anti-sulfuration, high power, high precision, surge and array parts. One is the plain WR06 part, which is on the 23 September 2026 stock list.
Does the Walsin resistor datasheet mention automotive use?
The general purpose WR sheet we hold, ASC_WR_V24 of September 2016, does not mention AEC-Q200 or automotive use. The MR sheet, ASC_MR_V13 of March 2024, does. Neither explains the trailing letter in a number like WR06X1002FTLJ, so ask us for the sheet that covers your number.
Do you give customs or import advice for Peru?
No. We give no customs, tax or import advice and we state no country of origin for any part, because none of the documents we hold names a manufacturing site. Ask your compliance team. We can provide lot and date-code traceability and a certificate of conformity per shipment on request.
How do I send you a whole bill of materials?
Upload it to the BOM page, up to 500 part numbers or an Excel or CSV file, paste single lines into the free cross-reference tool, or request a quote through the site. We return Walsin candidates with each match and mismatch stated, and we say plainly where there is none.
