Senegal Metering and Power Electronics from Hong Kong: A Yageo RC0603FR-07100KL 100 Kilohm Line Finds 36 Walsin 0603 Rows at 1%, Only 29 Meet Its Power and TCR, 7 Are Arrays, and 1 Is on Our Shelf

Senegal metering and power electronics from Hong Kong start with a cross that counts the near-misses. We resolved a Yageo RC0603FR-07100KL, a 100 kilohm, 1%, 0603 chip resistor, and found 36 Walsin Technology (Walsin) rows at that value and tolerance. 29 meet its power and TCR, 7 are resistor arrays that do not, and 1 is on our shelf.

Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin chip resistor export of 234,815 rows, 28 Walsin datasheets (451 pages) and a stock list dated 23 September 2026. This post is for a design or procurement engineer at a Senegalese meter, solar-kit or power-supply maker or importer who has a Yageo 100 kilohm resistor on a bill of materials and wants Walsin candidates in small lots from Hong Kong. Every Walsin part number is real, every count is ours, and the news statement names its source and the day we fetched it, 2 November 2026.

What did the 2026 reports say about electricity access in Senegal?

Ecofin Agency reported on 9 February 2026 that Senegal’s electricity access reached 84% of the population in 2024, with rural access at 66%, and that the International Energy Agency’s February report said Senegal is on course for universal access by 2029; a second report on 2 October 2026 said the energy minister announced nearly 400 billion CFA francs of planned investment toward the same goal.

The February article adds that consumption rose 22% in 2025 and is expected to grow about 8% a year to 2030, with natural gas rising from under 1% of generation to about 30%. The October article, which we fetched on 2 November 2026, was truncated and names no specific projects. Neither names an electronic component, so we draw no link between the numbers and any resistor. Our view, labelled as ours: every new connection means a meter, and every meter measures voltage through a divider. We have no relationship with any Senegalese utility or ministry.

What does a Yageo RC0603FR-07100KL say, field by field?

Yageo’s own specification page for RC0603FR-07100KL, resolved on 2 November 2026, shows a 100 kilohm, plus or minus 1% chip resistor in 0603 (1608 metric), rated 0.1 W at 70 degrees, plus or minus 100 ppm per degree, with 75 V continuous working voltage and 150 V maximum overvoltage.

The string RC0603FR-07100KL is not in the Walsin export and is not a Walsin number.

Which Walsin rows answer a 100 kilohm, 1%, 0603 line?

We parsed the 42,374 Walsin 0603 chip resistor rows and found 100 at 100 kilohm, of which 36 are at plus or minus 1%; 29 of the 36 carry a TCR at or below 100 ppm and 1/10 W or more, in 6 series groups, and the other 7 are resistor arrays with a TCR of 200 ppm or a 1/16 W element. We have not seen this counted anywhere.

Walsin part Series group as exported TCR, power On shelf 23 Sep 2026 Match / mismatch against the Yageo line
WR06X1003FTL Thick film general purpose ≦±100, 1/10 W Yes Match on value, tolerance, TCR, power and case
WF06K1003FTL High precision thick film ≦±50, 1/10 W No Mismatch: TCR tighter than asked; a different series group
WF06P1003FTL Thick film high power ≦±100, 1/8 W No Mismatch: power 25% higher
WF06A1003FTL Thick film high power ≦±100, 1/3 W No Mismatch: power more than three times
WK06V1003FTL Thick film high voltage ≦±100, 1/10 W No Match on the electrical fields; mismatch: series group, voltage not exported
WA06X1003FTL Thick film chip resistor array ≦±100, 1/10 W No Mismatch: an array is a multi-element part, not a single chip
WA06W1003FTL Thick film chip resistor array ≦±200, 1/16 W No Mismatch: TCR double, power 1/16 W, an array

The other rows are suffix and prefix variants inside the same groups. Our post on crossing Yageo and Kemet chip resistors to Walsin gives the method, and our chip resistor range lists the families.

Is the voltage limit set by the cap or by the power rating at 100 kilohm?

By the cap: the WR sheet defines the continuous working voltage as the lower of its voltage cap and the square root of rated power times resistance, and at 1/10 W and 100 kilohm that root is about 100 V, above the 75 V cap that governs 0603.

That is our arithmetic applied to the sheet’s formula, not Walsin’s wording, and it matches the 75 V that Yageo’s page prints. The practical point for a mains-referenced divider is that the 0603 body, not the dissipation, sets the ceiling, so a designer who needs more voltage uses a larger case or a series chain, not a bigger number on the label. The 7 arrays differ again, because each element has its own limit that the export does not state.

What does the Hong Kong shelf hold for this line?

As at 23 September 2026 our list holds 1,125 distinct part numbers, 254 of them chip resistors, and 1 of the 36 rows at this value and tolerance, WR06X1003FTL, is among them; the other 35 are factory orders.

The ready stock list is a dated snapshot, never live-synced, and we quote part-number counts, never piece counts. Our post on Walsin passive components in Hong Kong stock explains how to read it. Shelf position changes, so treat the snapshot as a starting question for the quote, not as a promise of availability.

What will we not tell you about Senegalese metering?

We searched the text of all 28 Walsin datasheets we hold, 451 pages, for Senegal, Africa, metering and tropic, and found 0 matches. We therefore say nothing about metering standards, tropical conditions or utility requirements in Senegal, and we give no legal, customs or conformity advice; confirm with your compliance team.

We hold no office, entity or stock in Senegal; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We hold 2 chip resistor datasheets, WR and MR, and none for the array, high-power, high-voltage, high-precision or anti-surge families, so every figure for those rows comes from the export alone.

Why do buyers in Senegal choose Venatech?

Because the cross is honest, small-lot friendly and made in Hong Kong. Venatech Limited is an authorised Walsin distributor, and Walsin is the one line we call authorised; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply.

  • A tool that shows the mismatches. Paste the Yageo number into VenaMatch, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts. Here you see 36 rows at one value and tolerance, sorted into 29 that meet the line and 7 arrays that do not.
  • Range you can count. Walsin’s 0603 chip resistor export holds 42,374 rows, and 100 of them are at 100 kilohm. A Senegalese buyer designing a meter front end can see single chips, high-power parts and arrays side by side and choose deliberately.
  • A Hong Kong shelf and small lots. A dated ready-stock list, snapshot 23 September 2026, not live, and small lots welcome for prototypes and pilot runs.
  • Honest about gaps. We say the WR sheet is from September 2016 and that we hold no datasheet for 5 of the 6 groups. That honesty is part of the service.

How can Venatech help a Senegalese buyer cross a Yageo part?

By showing the differences instead of hiding them, in small lots. Venatech Limited is an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong.

  • Cross-reference. Paste your Yageo number into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts, and read the Walsin candidates with each field marked match or mismatch.
  • BOM check. Upload the meter or power board’s bill of materials to /bom/, up to 500 part numbers or an Excel or CSV file.
  • Ready stock. The ready-stock list is a Hong Kong snapshot dated 23 September 2026, not live.
  • Service. Hong Kong-based, small lots, help with cross-referencing by hand when the tool returns no clean candidate, and a quote requested through the site.

Worked example from our own export: a Yageo 100 kilohm, 1%, 0603, 0.1 W line maps to WR06X1003FTL, which is on our shelf, and to 28 other single-chip rows if you accept a different group, power or suffix, but not to the 7 arrays. Confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit.

The short version

For a Senegalese buyer, a Yageo RC0603FR-07100KL line finds 36 Walsin 0603 rows at 100 kilohm and 1%: 29 meet its power and TCR in 6 series groups, 7 are arrays that do not, and exactly 1 is on the Hong Kong shelf.

Send us one divider resistor from a Senegalese meter or power board and we will return the Walsin candidates with every difference stated and the stock position named. If your layout has room for an array, would you trade a single chip for it, and what would you lose?

Frequently asked questions

What did Ecofin report on electricity access in Senegal?

On 9 February 2026 it reported access of 84 percent of the population in 2024, rural access of 66 percent, and the IEA’s view that Senegal is on course for universal access by 2029. It names no component. Confirm figures with the IEA.

What is a Yageo RC0603FR-07100KL?

Yageo’s specification page, resolved on 2 November 2026, shows a 100 kilohm, plus or minus 1 percent, 0603 chip resistor rated 0.1 W with 100 ppm TCR and 75 V working voltage. It is not a Walsin number. Confirm against Yageo’s own datasheet.

How many Walsin rows match 100 kilohm, 1 percent and 0603?

We counted 36 at that value and tolerance in the 234,815-row chip resistor export. 29 also meet 100 ppm and 1/10 W or more, in 6 series groups. The other 7 are resistor arrays with 200 ppm TCR or a 1/16 W element.

Can a resistor array replace a single chip resistor?

Not automatically. An array packs several elements in one body, so footprint, pin count and per-element rating differ from a single chip. We list the 7 arrays as mismatches and leave the layout decision to you.

Is any candidate on the Hong Kong shelf?

Yes, one. As at 23 September 2026 WR06X1003FTL is on our stock list; the other 35 rows are not and would be quoted through the site. The list is a dated snapshot, never live-synced.

Can Venatech advise on Senegalese import rules or metering standards?

No. None of the 28 Walsin datasheets we hold, 451 pages, mentions Senegal, and we give no legal, customs or conformity advice. We hold no office, entity or stock in Senegal. Qualification stays with you.
