Uganda Electric Motorcycle Electronics from Hong Kong: A Yageo AC0603FR-0710KL Automotive 10 Kilohm Line Finds 27 Walsin 0603 Rows at 1%, 15 Are Labelled Automotive, and the Only One on Our Shelf Is Not

Uganda electric motorcycle electronics from Hong Kong need an automotive cross that separates label from fact. We resolved a Yageo AC0603FR-0710KL, an AEC-Q200 10 kilohm, 1%, 0603 chip resistor, and found 27 Walsin Technology (Walsin) rows matching its value, tolerance, TCR and power. 15 carry Automotive in the series name, and the 1 on our shelf does not.

Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin chip resistor export of 234,815 rows, 28 Walsin datasheets (451 pages) and a stock list dated 23 September 2026. This post is for a design or procurement engineer at a Ugandan electric-motorcycle, battery-swap or controller maker or importer who has a Yageo automotive 10 kilohm resistor on a bill of materials and wants Walsin candidates in small lots from Hong Kong. Every Walsin part number is real, every count is ours, and the news statement names its source and the day we fetched it, 2 November 2026.

What did the March 2026 report say about electric mobility in Uganda?

AllAfrica, republishing the Nile Post, reported on 12 March 2026 that Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja led a government delegation to Spiro Uganda’s production facility at Namanve Industrial Park, that the government aims to move public transport to electric power by 2030 under a National E-Mobility Strategy adopted in 2023, and that more than 4,000 young Ugandans work in the maker’s ecosystem.

The article, which we fetched on 2 November 2026, says ministries were encouraged to explore adopting the maker’s bikes; it gives no order size, investment amount or bike count. It names no electronic component, so we draw no link between its numbers and any resistor. Our view, labelled as ours: assembly and repair of electric motorcycles at scale needs controller, charger and battery-management boards, and an assembler or repairer who cannot find a part wants a second source named quickly. We have no relationship with Spiro or any Ugandan operator.

What does a Yageo AC0603FR-0710KL say, field by field?

Yageo’s own specification page for AC0603FR-0710KL, resolved on 2 November 2026, shows a 10 kilohm, plus or minus 1% chip resistor in 0603 (1608 metric), rated 0.1 W at 70 degrees, plus or minus 100 ppm per degree, with 75 V continuous working voltage, 150 V maximum overvoltage, and an AEC-Q200 automotive-grade qualification.

Field Yageo AC0603FR-0710KL (page value) Walsin MR06X1002FTL (export and datasheet) Match / mismatch
Case 0603 (1608 metric) 0603(1608) Match
Value 10 kilohm 1002 in the code, 10000Ω in the export Match
Tolerance plus or minus 1% F in the code, ±1% Match
TCR plus or minus 100 ppm ≦±100; 100 in the MR sheet for 10 ohm to 1 megohm Match
Power 0.1 W at 70 degrees 1/8W in the export and 1/8 W in the MR sheet Mismatch: 25% higher than the incumbent’s
Working voltage 75 V 75 V in the MR sheet (ASC_MR_V13, March 2024) Match
Overvoltage 150 V 150 V in the MR sheet Match
Automotive grade AEC-Q200 per the Yageo page MR sheet says compliant with AEC-Q200 Match in wording; the qualification report for the exact number stays with you

The string AC0603FR-0710KL is not in the Walsin export and is not a Walsin number. Walsin’s sheet says compliant, not certified, and we do not upgrade it.

Which Walsin rows answer a 10 kilohm, 1%, 0603 line?

We parsed the 42,374 Walsin 0603 chip resistor rows and found 95 at 10 kilohm, of which 34 are at plus or minus 1%; 27 meet a TCR of 100 ppm and 1/10 W or more, and 15 of those 27 carry the word Automotive in the Series field while 12 do not. We have not seen this counted anywhere.

Walsin part Series text as exported TCR, power On shelf 23 Sep 2026 Match / mismatch against the Yageo line
MR06X1002FTR General Purpose, LF 100ppm (Automotive) ≦±100, 1/10 W No Match on the electrical fields and an automotive label
MR06X1002FTLV General Purpose (Automotive) ≦±100, 1/10 W No Match on the electrical fields and an automotive label
WR06X1002FTLJ General Purpose (Automotive) ≦±100, 1/10 W No Match on the electrical fields and an automotive label
MR06X1002FTL General Purpose (Automotive) ≦±100, 1/8 W No Mismatch: power 25% higher
SR06X1002FTL High Grade Anti-Sulfuration (Automotive) ≦±100, 1/10 W No Match on the electrical fields; mismatch: an anti-sulfuration family
WF06K1002FTLJ High Precision TC50 (Automotive) ≦±50, 1/10 W No Mismatch: TCR tighter than asked; a different group
WR06X1002FTL General Purpose, no automotive label ≦±100, 1/10 W Yes Match on the electrical fields; mismatch: no automotive label in the series text

We read the Series field in Thick_Film_General_Purpose_1_1_10W.xlsx, in High_Precision_Thick_Film_chip_resistor_1.xlsx and in the MR sheet ASC_MR_V13, and checked every candidate against the stock list dated 23 September 2026. The label sits in the series text, not in any column, and the same letters can appear on a labelled and an unlabelled row. Our post on Walsin automotive chip resistors, MR, SR and the AEC-Q200 split explains the rule, and our chip resistor range lists the families.

Is the only candidate on the shelf an automotive part?

No: of the 34 rows at 10 kilohm, 0603 and 1%, only WR06X1002FTL is on our shelf, and its series text carries no Automotive label, while 16 of the 34 rows do carry it.

That is the sharp edge of this cross. If your bill of materials calls for an AEC-Q200 grade, the shelf part is the wrong grade, however well it matches on value, tolerance, TCR and power, and we will not let a match on four fields pass as a match on five. If your board only needs a plain 10 kilohm, the shelf part is the quickest route. The label is not a qualification claim by Venatech: Walsin’s sheet says compliant, and the qualification report for an exact part number is the document to request.

What does the Hong Kong shelf hold for this line?

As at 23 September 2026 our list holds 1,125 distinct part numbers, 254 of them chip resistors, and 1 of the 27 candidates, WR06X1002FTL, is among them; the other 26 are factory orders, and all 15 automotive-labelled rows are in that group.

The ready stock list is a dated snapshot, never live-synced, and we quote part-number counts, never piece counts. Our post on Walsin passive components in Hong Kong stock explains how to read it. A line off the shelf is a factory order, requested through the site.

What will we not tell you about Ugandan e-mobility?

We searched the text of all 28 Walsin datasheets we hold, 451 pages, for Uganda, Africa and motorcycle, and found 0 matches. We therefore say nothing about motorcycle duty cycles, tropical heat or Ugandan standards, and we give no legal, customs or conformity advice; confirm with your compliance team.

We hold no office, entity or stock in Uganda; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We hold the MR and WR resistor sheets only, none for the high-precision or anti-sulfuration families, and no AEC-Q200 qualification report for any part.

Why do buyers in Uganda choose Venatech?

Because the cross is honest, small-lot friendly and made in Hong Kong. Venatech Limited is an authorised Walsin distributor, and Walsin is the one line we call authorised; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply.

  • A tool that shows the mismatches. Paste the Yageo number into VenaMatch, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts. Here you see 27 candidates, with the automotive label and the power difference marked on each, not hidden.
  • Range you can count. Walsin’s 0603 chip resistor export holds 42,374 rows, and 95 of them are at 10 kilohm. A Ugandan buyer can see the automotive-labelled and plain families side by side.
  • A Hong Kong shelf and small lots. A dated ready-stock list, snapshot 23 September 2026, not live, and small lots welcome for prototypes, repair stock and pilot runs.
  • Honest about gaps. We tell you the shelf part is the wrong grade for an automotive line, and that we hold no qualification report. That honesty is part of the service.

How can Venatech help a Ugandan buyer cross a Yageo part?

By showing the differences instead of hiding them, in small lots. Venatech Limited is an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong.

  • Cross-reference. Paste your Yageo number into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts, and read the Walsin candidates with each field marked match or mismatch.
  • BOM check. Upload the controller or charger board’s bill of materials to /bom/, up to 500 part numbers or an Excel or CSV file.
  • Ready stock. The ready-stock list is a Hong Kong snapshot dated 23 September 2026, not live.
  • Service. Hong Kong-based, small lots, help with cross-referencing by hand when the tool returns no clean candidate, and a quote requested through the site.

Worked example from our own export: a Yageo AC0603FR-0710KL automotive line maps to MR06X1002FTR on value, tolerance, TCR, power and an automotive label, and the shelf part WR06X1002FTL serves only if the board does not need the label. Confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit.

The short version

For a Ugandan buyer, a Yageo AC0603FR-0710KL line finds 27 Walsin 0603 rows at 10 kilohm and 1% that meet its TCR and power, 15 of them labelled automotive, and the single candidate on the Hong Kong shelf is not one of the 15.

Send us one automotive resistor from a Ugandan controller or charger bill of materials and we will return the Walsin candidates with every difference stated, the label noted and the stock position named. Does your customer ask for the AEC-Q200 report, or only for the part to match on four fields?
